Vastly inferior to the first game. There are a lot of annoying new features added in like the lives system, and the graphics are even diminished.

Russamation, I had problems keeping everyone alive at start, but now most are about 1 life, but i havent´t lost them even in a castle battle.

Like everyone else says, the lives system is a terrible idea. But it doesn't hurt the game at all, as losing lives can be entirely circumvented by restarting the game when you lose.
Either way, great additions to the first game. Although trying to find the recipes is a great pain in the ass.

Beautiful, clever, polished game turned into a sad unrewarding dissappointment, thanks to the lives system. No matter how defensively you play, the shear number of battles and random bad luck means eventually your creatures will lose thier 3 lives. How do you ressurect a 0 lives creature? Only the level 3 Magic spell, which requires no less than _4_ Magic type creatures in the party to unlock (surely it's a bug, because 3 creature unlocks the level 4 spell). Or losing a fight, meaning your other creatures lose a life, and everyone starts out at half hp. Or toss out your level 20 creature for a level 0 recruit.
What am I missing? Please say I'm missing something.

I woulda thought if u were gona make a second game u woulda fixed what sucked last time but no its the same thing but more advanced
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
shaun it DOES just... it says it only can be revived on magical means right? that means u need to gather some magical creatures and use a spell that revives :D

The only change i would make would be the possabilty to earn/buy/find extra lives for your pet/animals/fighters. Therefore you could increase the lives but at a high cost. other then that Wicked :)

I am enjoying this more than the first brute wars, mind you the creature selection is a little lame at the beginning. The lives thing is not a problem for me I find as you just use meds like in the original. The new creatures are kinda cool. But the magic got nerfed hard. All in all a great improvement but still with flaws 4/5

my ears are bleading the music is terrible! my urge to flame the author is spiked, this games writing is terrible! and the game has a learning curve thats like running into a brick wall... made of steal... a brick wall made of steal you heard me. And the FAG i mean HMH does nothing but give me a wall of text...

exactly its as if the game creators dont want us to, as nerdy and sappy as this may sound, construct any emotional ties to our animals that we first pick
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
question, why is my lion level 1 and has not increased in any hit power? seems he is going to need to hit harder if hes gonna make it to the end of the game, and I REFUSE to use any other animals than what I started with to win, so i hope this game takes into account people who dont like switching and have loyalty to their first picks.

HATE IT, the whole lives thing makes no sense i dont want my best people to just die like that and then be replaced by crappy low level animals i dont want on my team. i mean why should i get punished for having powerful animals youve had from the start. And why do new recruits always start at level 0...i mean come on!

I love the hell out of Brute Wars one, even though it was buggy and simplistic. This sequel sucks to be quite honest. The lives thing is ridiculous. Having to equip individuals with eggs make me not want to ever switch them out, thus invaliding the use for reserves...the reserves are just got added items that you could just input into the game on its own. The combo feature is dull, as it's static. I hated the creature randomizer from the first one, but this one is even worse. It basically forces you to play through the game half-way to make a good enough team to go back and finish the game.

I don't like the limited life system. you can't have a reviving item that doesn't stack AND limited lives. Nothing works that way. Great game otherwise though.

so much better than the first one, im glad they got all the glitches out so you dont have to battle again every time you move a place

Hmm this seems to be very controversial....
At any rate this is a ok game and is not for people who like to play run&gun games.
This takes patience and the instruction arent needed much just play the first one and you will pretty much know it all

I agree it can get difficult in the last level, seeing as you cap at level 40. And you are fighting 40-46 guys. However end boss was easy, just getting there is harder.

Virgel this game is easy to win against im doing fine with: Yeti, Behemoth, Trike, Shark, Battering Ram, x2 Elder Dragons and a Mandrill
I think you should be able to use the uo, down ect. Keys too look around the screen so you know if you have all the ones behind you.

Fun and addictive game. Love the improvements from the first one. To most of those complaining of the games difficulty I would suggest reading the help files and playing further into the game. Once you add animals to your roster you can restart with a much better team.

I am going with the 3 Minotaur+3 Bombird build. Just had one of my Minotaurs do 13 attacks in a row with +4 to crit (totaling 8)

Hmmm seems there's a level cap of 40.... UNLESS the creatures are in reserve, then they just keep leveling. Now that sucks big time.

people that rate this game 1/5 are complete retards. regardless of the annoyance of some aspects of the game, while rating everything should be considered.
3/5

Another good combo is taking a hard single hit brute who has above average hp (say a t-rex) and tack on the + action command. blam just doubled it's sweeping power. Beasts are just sick sweepers with innate +2 crit attack

Are their going to be badges for this game? Also people who started playing this game remember go to the healing node after a battle so you won't waste foods apples

well have to admit those eggs really add complexity to monsters. tacking on a +1 attack power to someone think a behemoth and you are going from 2x3 attacks to 3actionx3powerx3way attacks. upgrade that gem to green for 3x4(3way) the beast's insane hp/armor and you have a really nice center sweeper that can take a hit.
