I find myself HAVING to exp up my team close to the starting location so that I can level them up in the beginning or having to use apples ever round to heal my entire team which can cost a lot of gold since you only make 11-14 in the early fights.
3 lives for each monster .... completely ridiculous for an already hard game.
Beginning is just really hard it should have some progression but instead you just get pummeled if you don't know what you're doing.
Brute Wars 1: 5/5
Brute Wars 2: 3/5

gay, no matter how many times i lvl up, the fight never gets easier. you cant use items in battle so if you are ambushed, you are likely to get an animal killed. and i still havnt gotten a skill point and ive been playing for 20 min
2/5

Also. The added limitations on spells is ridiculous. When you get to the first castle, you have no magic whatsoever. What's the point in having a constantly increasing magic pool if you have no spells to spend it on?

Very happy there's a sequel to this game. One of my favorites on the site. :) 5 out of 5 from me. Great work, once again.

Even though this one has a low more functionality I can't say I like it a lot. All those new features somehow managed to make the game seem a lot less than before.

you know, Beast Wars 1 deserved a sequel about as much as Keanu Reeves deserves an Oscar for best Actor. Which is to say, LESS than not at all.

humm...the monotony and all the diing is annoying as well.. every fight is the same, including the masses of randombattles. And you have to chose between being able to revive your animals.. or having high levels...
4/5 -1

I guess people are very divided over this. I like this game, it's an improvement over the first one. The music is annoying but you can turn the sound off at the main menu.

Not bad, but a "bit" samey - boring - no reward. No levelling up? Encounters strongly determined by if ambushed or not, not enough items, poor UI "one button" implementation. BUT, i couldnt do better. 4/5

Why are people so harsh on this? It's not the best game ever, but it is NOT terrible. My only complaint is that it's kind of confusing at times.

mh.. one mayor flaw is the lack of tooltips e.g. in the teamcreation screen in the beginning. Having to heal everything manually is rather annoying as well, as well as tons of random fights. Behemoths feel kinda imba and why are the first castles filled with ghosts? :P concerning the stone-paper-scissor system, why didn't you add a small legend under the terrainscreen? And stacks in the inventory would be nice

I'm puzzled by how this game is capable of being above a 3... It's only just slightly better than the first one... only because you can pick your team... but it's still not a good game... and like the others say... way way way too much text at the beginning.
