Thanks from the heart to those rare noble people who brought themselves to not only tell the civilisation how great they are, but also reveal some advices about how they achieved their glory. It's such a marvelous game, namely as soon as you know how to win. I almost followed the hints of nikehat (special ovations to him!), keeping it even more simple: maxed up all abilities, then bought boots and elbow pats and boots and elbow pads again and again, while in the matches I used the wall formation, tried to get possession of the ball, then kept running in zigzags or just straight through the opponent's formation in case he wasn't too strong. Had needed two days without help to be promoted from 4th to 3rd division - and half a joyful day now to become champion of 3rd, 2nd, and 1st and get the hard badge. Wish I could help someone with this note, too.

trades are crucial. after you beat division 4, trade one of your front guys (usually 8, 9, or 10, formation pending) for a four or five star guy. it'll be like babe ruth playing with a bunch of little leaguers! lol

I'm almost as victorious as Charlie Brwon in this game, but I love it. Have been playing for hours now, and I really become a bit better. Keep trying, upgrading, trying ... - somewhen I'll make it.

Tip: Change the movement controls to the arrow keys and the actions to A,S,D. Much easier for me that way.
