played Men of the West. demon levels (very hard) were far easier than most Hard levels. All special units are very very tough.

Very nice game. Deep strategy, tough levels... I played Night Elves, took a bit, but I finally offed all those darn demons (Whirlers rock)

Weird balance issues. I played undead (best halberds, weakest archers) and for most of the game i just spammed my halberds to win. Sometimes it didn't work, so I'd spam spears and that did the trick. Then I got to the demons and they were ridiculously strong. So I just spammed scouts and beat every demon level with scouts only. Didn't feel like I deserved the final victory screen.

just keep spamming spear units and have archers support all in one line and you keep winning

Fun, but it gets really old. It feels...slow. Very very slow, especially when you are driving the enemy back, and have to wait for your units to make it across. And while scout solves THAT problem, it STILL feels slow overall.

By the way, has anyone else had the problem that as soon as you send a charge of scouts that the enemy immediately after has a charge of halberds? You need to know the enemy's count as well...

Great game, the charges give a great feeling when they work. A bit repetitive after a while though. For repaly just use different strategies. It really needs a counter so you know when you are getting that life-saving charge though.

3 stars. Decent game, difficulty is basically determined by the player. I played my first game properly with the night elves (no swords = hard race) and the demons near impossible. Next I chose Men of West (broken). Took out the demons first.

Absolutely excellent, until I realized, alternating the production of spear and arrow (and maybe starting a spoof line to pull away attention from the main line), it was way too easy (taking over the demons after the trolls LOL) However, if this game was set up for multiplayer, it could be a hit...

WAAAAAAY too easy, im on level 10 and all I have done is sent straight lines of archers right down the middle. I am beating hard levels no problem at all

Pretty tough once all the Easy and Medium territories have been done. And no way to level up or earn more or to otherwise increase the chances of taking the Hard areas- nothing to do but lose, over and over. Another revision I would make would be independent unit-production timers.

Fun game with a lot of depth and good potential, but campaign needs more settings to increase difficulty. Beat half the map, including many "hard" territories, playing MoW with only swordsmen and no real strategy.
