i agree pre 1/20/20 update, deflectors were op back then. (pretty sure they blocked 80% of damage when triggered back then without formation bonus)
but now it's definitely that +75 thorn with 1 or 2 shield mods that're broken.

hmm, with the 1/20/20 update I'm under the impression that thorns are over powered now... i think defensive stats need to counteract thorns a bit and some of the ship mods need tweaking.

The game seems to be poorly optimized with constant 100% cpu usage in, and around 80% outside battles, and you can't turn off bloom since it turns back on automatically upon pressing confirm. Game mechanics wise I like it, keep up the updates

Seems my fleets are no longer able to win against anyone or the AI. Sadly, I can't play like that. Good game, just can't play with a near 100% loss rate. :(
The PVE and PVP leaderboards are reset each week. The top players are awarded with prizes and the whole AI are rebalanced. The next week a huge update will add AI bosses. Hope you will still enjoy the game :D
I'm sorry but with a small player base <30k players it's really not possible to balance a game. At the moment the PVP it's balanced at lower levels but when you reach the high spectrum of the leaderboard it's pretty normal to find strong people.
I find quite hard to believe this since the server correctly increased your money.
But whatever, if it could be possible I will also give you 1 star as a user. ;D
Other players can also fight and defeat you causing your scores to go down. Bus as I can see you did lose a PVP math a while ago and went down from 322 to 305 PVP points. So works as intended. Thanks for the rating!

Also why do the squadrons change color when I move them as a group? THey are red, then green then white . . . no explanation whatsoever.

I don't understand squadrons at all. I draw a square around a vertical line of 5 fighters, they turn blue, and I place them on the board . I go back to add more ships and return to the squadron screen and they aren't in a line but in a V-shape. I do the same thing with 5 frigates: except its a different squadron, I go back and return to the screen and they aren't where I left them, they are in some weird formation overlapping other ships and I can't move them

There's just so many small QOL improvements that are barely noticable, not deselecting ship placement when moved outside fleet boundary, shorter autofight timer vs AI, nicer leaderboards, the new equipment menu (which is amazing btw), the tips are awesome (but they scroll by too fast in the pvp load screen), the way frigates fire changed, but things seem to have a lot less lag now and it makes more sense honestly as it is now, Just so many small changes but the game already is starting to feel a lot more polished!

I love how this game is shaping up, the new offensive and defensive upgrades and adjustments to the existing ones really are helping to balance the game out! I also greatly appreciate the extra fleet slot! The dev is doing an amazing job keeping current with the community and the speed with which the suggestions become reality is honestly really amazing! Keep it up :3

So I left the game on over the weekend and got a lot of money, but the game is running slow. I opened it up in a new tab to make sure it saved and all my money is gone. How do I get the game to save in the first tab to make sure I get all the money I earned?
Spent them and play a little. Unfortunately, when opening the game on another tab the first one usually got disconnected. Exactly like the Kongregate chat.

instead of a "new indicator" i would prefer tabs for "offensive" , "defensive" and "special" equipment , the bug with the rank 99999 seems to appear when you click pvp "fight" back out and click "fight" again a couple of times , only fix i know is reloading the page

I don't know what you changed, but offline gains have decreased significantly. I sleep for the night, and come back to the game only able to buy 1-3 upgrades. Before I was able to buy a bunch more.

From the 5 minutes I've spent fiddling with the hanger - it seems as if the squadron is controlled via the squadron tab and the single ship is controlled via the fleet tab. it works very well to keep the two separated. excellent work. also love the auto battle option for pve.

Closed the window for a day, with 5k or so income per minute. Booted up the game a day later, offline earnigs: 6k.

I suspect the developers are plugging some bitcoin-mining programs into this game, due to the unusually high CPU/energy consumption for a unity-supported game. This is only suspicion but could explain why they want players to actively stay in game.
This can be expected to be another dead pay-to-play game on Kongragate-if they don't fix this soon. Please vote this up if you don't want to see so.
Damn, that's some serious conspiracy theory there. But I can assure you that this isn't the case and you can also send an mail to Kong for further questions before a game can be published they check it.
The high consumption it's because you have hundreds of units active on the screen in a tiny browser that considers a game something with "high" consume. You can check others unity game and you can see that this happen every time.
Please, next time doesn't be so harsh on trowing out judgments like this. I'm an indie developer, not a big AAA studio who just made another COD. Every game I made it's done after work with my free-time that I decided to spend this way. The money that I earn back it's something ridiculously low. Write to me in PM if u want to check it out.

Very misleading description. Negative to game's future.
It says you get xxx coins per minute when "out of battle", but that require you to constantly stay in game window and check it. If you don't play it actively in battle (alter to other window, while still staying in game menu), then coin generating greatly reduces.
In my occasion I should be generating 4500 coins per MINUTE, but after 2 independent experiment I found out I only get 8000-1000 coins per HOUR. That means you only get about 0.025*coins as described in game, if you alter to other window run this game in background.
Since coins generated by fights can never cover the upgrading cost after lv20, auto generation is almost the only way to get coins. Winning a battle gives 3-4k coins, while upgrade require 200-500k coins. you have to WIN hundreds of battle to get 1 upgrade, plus you can't beat early players, reducing the win rate to no more than 20%.
Most browsers limit the framerate of inactive tabs. You can avoid this by letting the game stay on his own browser instance where is the only tab. I'll update the description, thanks for the feedback.

Impossible for new players to get to top 10 and catch up to players who took advantage of weaker levels +450 before an update. Top player is currently 1000+ with millions more invested in upgrades.
Very difficult to beat other fleets without someway of knowing what they done. You can turn to chat, but then it just creates the same type of fleets in top ranks, so everyone is just doing the same thing with same upgrades.
Gets boring fast.
There will be a weekly reset of the leaderboards! The game is balanced to hit a plateau after some time. So people who get here first will have only a little advantage that can be nullified by some efforts.

In the PVP, when I lose, it would be great to be able to see the stats on the fleet that beat me -- what upgrade level his ships were, which equipment they were using, and so on. There's no real way to "learn from our defeats" in this game, the way there usually is in an asynchronous PVP game.
Hi. Thanks for this feedback, unfortunately, I won't expose this information. I know this something can be frustrating, but I think that players can deduce e improve via trial and error, the "friend battle" is there also for this reason. Try looking at the chat, a lot of people are actively exchanging information and tips. Maybe in the future when there will be more upgrades and units equipment i'll also add this informations.
