You know, can you even call this a rogue like game? I kill everything I come across until i can't kill anymore, leave, and restart that.

Dialogs definitely needs to be clicked out before character moves, I am just running around because I do not know if conversation is finished or continues.

Oh no someone more than likely cheating already hit floor 1 billion and twenty-eight within the like maybe 5 hours of the game being out. :c would be neat if cheats were kept out of the high scores ;~; . Thats if they cheated though, they more than likely did but if they didnt cheat - I apologize.

raising hp is pointless... 1 def >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> then 10 hp ever could be...unless for some reason you plan to get hit less then 10 times by physical attacks your entire dungeon trip....doubt thats gonna happen

Man had conquered almost everything, from countless hordes of mythical creatures, to the first of these caves, to even defeating itself with its own greed. And now...it has finally conquered the final obstacle to exert its dominance over other species. Man has overcome, with a single step, ...floor sacks.

I'm so happy to finally see the sequel! On another note, I'm glad to know that I misread "Possessed" Knight as "Depressed."

USE FLEE WITH SLOW COMBAT TURNED ON. So far, first attempt at the dungeon with no resets and I'm on floor 60 and about to go to bed for the night. Some mobs (blue fire things, wolves, etc.) you can click away just before attacking them to begin fleeing before combat starts and avoid their quicker attacks and just keep reinitiating combat. Most slow mobs you can be slower on the draw and avoid damage all together. Add hp regen + mp regen, grab the heal spell and max your attack. BAM /win. You're welcome! :) Up vote so people know!

Not only did this game keep everything about the first that I loved, it added to it! Actual character levels, yes please. Ability to walk over empty bags, oh yea! Skill tree that actually gives really useful stuff, absolutely!

Could we retain skills on the hotbar after leaving the dungeon? I shouldn't need to replace them every time. Also, could we add sklil bonuses to the character sheet stats? I have crit chance and xp bonues, etc. but they're not listed anywhere.

Fantastic game, 5/5 and favorited - just like the first one. Though I think it would be neat if we could see what we get from the skill tree somewhere. For example I got some critical chance but I wont know the % of it unless i look through the skill tree and count it all - it would be more convenient if it was listed somewhere on the items page perhaps.

How about an in-shop comparison of how a purchasable item compares to what you're currently wearing? Much the same as when you're in the inventory screen.

I think the Transmute spell should be removed from the game, because it reduces that awesome feeling you get when you find artifacts. Why bother getting excited when everything can be an artifact?

I dunno, I was done by my 3rd or 4th run. As soon as I started just putting MP regen (or hp if not available) I breezed through a good 3/4 of the dungeon until the very last area. Then it got a fair bit tougher again, but the fact still remains that it took me far less time than I would've hoped. Then again that's kinda how I felt about the last one too. I guess that's a sign I enjoyed them at least. My only other issue would be with magic; idk, from a logical perspective there's really no reason at all to use anything but heal. Sure, you could use MP to cast some other spell and maybe kill something quicker...but you could also just focus on hammering them with physical damage, not waste the skill points to get a bunch of different spells, and just using that MP to heal. I think that would always be a problem unless offensive and defensive spells used different resource pools.

Impressive refinement from the first one. Feature request: keyboard shortcuts for things. For example y/n for the stair prompt. Also, the "be careful, you're about to die" prompt appears to stop you from doing anything, which is inconvenient when you're planning to heal yourself, but can't because the prompt warning you about impending death gets in the way of not dying.

agreed 5/5 without even needing to hit new game. Thanks ahead of time Dustin for the new game. The first one was one of the best flash games I've played and still is. Heard this was releasing on Steam though, is that still in the works or only a flash game?

Fun, though a little too easy and pretty short - think it only took about 4 hours to beat. 5 stars; still one of the best, even with the little bugs. Looking forward to the Steam release.

Tips for new players. Walk to monsters to instant fight, but you dont need to fight them all. Once you level, set your skill points in the items menu. Look for shiny walls, the indicate secret rooms. You can craft healing potions using drops, just check the items properties, you can also improve your items if you find a forge. Use the museum to storage artifacts. Enjoy!

I love the idea of a crafting system, but the hp/mp regen abilities are so powerful that they are game breaking. With over 20 MP regen, I commonly wipe out entire floors without losing any net health. This needs to be rebalanced.

You don't even have to know that a piece of music is by Grant Kirkhope to "know" that it's by Grant Kirkhope. Wonderful soundtrack, the entrance room of the caves immediately reminded me of Banjo Kazooie.
The graphics are looking amazing, and so far, the gameplay is smooth and engaging. Well done! :)

Also, if the point of boss floors is to fight the boss, I recommend making the walls unpickable. Just hit floor 25, and was like, NOPE. NOPE. NOPE. NOPE. Success!

So.... many different people leaving journals behind in the dungeon or...?

Great work DustinAux! It is everything I imagined and more.
But will you please, please explain somewhere how does transmutation work... I just lose my items and can't see any gain out of it :(
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
You might want to put a description of the spells into the skill tree screen. Some are self-explanatory, but how many people will know that Transmute turns items into artifacts until they get there?

You can totally abuse the flee command if you turn combat to slow and then click away from the enemy right as you press the direction to attack them. You flee just before their first attack and can continue to do that over and over until they die. Aside from that bug, freakin' awesome game!!

While running away, there's a glitch that sometimes makes you get stuck on top of an enemy and you can't move. The only thing you can do is use escape wings.

I left the games running for a minute, and when I came back the sound did not work anymore. I have muted and unmuted, lowered and raised the sound bars. All to no avail. had to refresh to get the sound back

Hah, discovered the secret room on the first floor on my first ever delve in! Found another on 15. I'm being vigilante in finding more. if you see a piece of wall sparkle, walk up against it and it disappears.

Some tips for you all:
Always buy from the shady merchant hiding next to the inn. Even if you don't like it, the items resell for a tiny bit more than you paid.
Shiny spots on walls are entrances to a room with an artifact chest and a journal entry that provides some story to the cave.
CTRL key saves the game so you can continue from the same spot where you saved in the cave. This come in handy if you need a break but don't want to use the wings yet.
M and 0 keys mute and unmute the sound.
The transmute spell is your friend. It allows you to keep any item as if it were an artifact. You need to unequip an item first to use the spell on it.
Potions can be crafted anywhere and cost no mp. The forge is only needed for equipment.
Telekinesis is handy to grab any last minute chests before you return to town.
You can see a monsters stats without attacking by holding the left mouse button down.

There is a suspicious person in town, leaning against the outside of the inn, who offers to sell you only one strange item at a time... BUY FROM HIM!
