Dont bother upgrading the magic skill tree. Attack skill tree and potion efficiency/duration is godly overpowered. When you get a level up, always upgrade attack. Defense will become rather useless the farther you get, because on the late floors everything except for Trolls and Wyverns attacks with magic, so either get some equipment with magic defense or craft potions. Crafting is more viable because your equipment bonuses are limited to the 2 enchantment slots on every of your 10 equipments. Always start 10 floors earlier than you could, because certain monsters drop health/magic potions, which make this game a piece of cake if you have enough.

I found it best to put as much into defense as possible, got through most of the dungeon with almost no damage, used health regen stuff on my armor to patch me up along the way. Also, MP regen stuff will save your butt

So I managed to from level 20 all the way to 80 in one go. My strategy was putting every skill point into attack each time you level up. Max out the attack skill trees first, then go to magic. Enchant all of your gear with either Health Regen or Magic Regen. I was healing more life from levels 20-60 than the enemies could deal damage. Every time you hit a store buy all the ingredients to make health and magic potions along with all the ingredients for regen. Keep a lookout for the shiny walls that lead to secret chambers with high level items, those are the ones you really want to enchant. Keep up the cycle and it was the quickest way to rush through the game.

Its to bad there isn't any multiplayer to this game. Just imagining the added strategy that would make. Merchants selling transmuted items, brothers in arms or if you want you can pvp to steal an item from another player or loot your enemies gold.

Wow... Final boss battle... Has all of the best equipment and had the balls to go all the way to the final boss at level 25 yet was demolishing every monster up until the final boss... Attempts to back away from the fight to heal... Dies... Restarts at level 10 with shit equipment... Thank you game devs for not putting a PROPER SAVE SYSTEM IN THE GAME!!!! AAAARGH!!

Got to level 60 (of the dungeon) and had a bunch of really good equipment and the transmute spell. I was about to warp out of the dungeon and accidentally ran into a wisp. Fricking all the way back to level 20. Son of a bitchhhh

Great game, also don't know if this was meant to be done but by the time I got to floor 35 the spider, I knew I cant defeat it so I used my 6 spare pickaxes and just took the treasure then proceeded

Great rpg dungeon crawler. I would suggest more perks / skill trees and more ways to spend gold. I always have way more gold than I can spend.

If you start early I have something to say Go for Transmute as early as possible don't upgrade anything but magic Transmute is like God Tier If you find a item like a steel sword and its really good You can use Transmute to make it an artifact so you can leave with it.

Is the "It belongs in a museum" badge a reference to Indiana Jones? If so, cool. I just remember that was one thing Indy kept saying about this one artifact through the whole of one movie.
