formation editor and speed up button during battles would greatly improve game pacing, otherwise it's really a net idea! looking forward for full version release :D

It is too clear that the enemy AI is not actually building up a village of some sort but just delivering canned responses to your imputs. Get early exorcist? on year 25 instead of 2 minotaurs you get 2 druids and 2 tigers. Survive a wave of 4 knights and 7 swordmen on year 30ish, get 7 knights 22 swordmen and 15 militias 3 years later because you upgraded your city hall.

Great, game. Here are some features I suggest to be added to maximize enjoyment.
- Allow manual unit arrangement (Choose where they are placed in army).
- Refunding units (Weak units get in the way).
Not sure if this is a bug or not, but it seems when units die, they are still recognized as existing. For example: You have a number of knights, but 2 die. For some reason, only 1 knight can be purchased, but you must buy another stable to re-obtain the other knight.

So apparently when you get attacked and don't get any units, and just click "fight", it just sits there......and does nothing.......refreshing page now

Americans, Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, and Romans all need buffs. On Easy/Normal, Greeks an easy time - with ore armor, a minotaur can beat 3-4 knights by itself, and over the course of 50 years Greeks can get 20K+ gold worth of units that practically never die for free.

Beat Hard with Russians (don't have to build farms) and with Mongols (don't have to build an early stables), and got close a few times with Greeks (if you can get to the first minotaur, you can cruise for awhile) but I can honestly say that currently it seems impossible to win without a little luck, particularly with what wave you draw on year 25.

Huge ass balance issues for each country, even in NORMAL mode. Only country that even allows you to mess around with how you build is Russia, aside from that, you can't make any mistakes, period. And it says that there are balance issues in special mode, well, fix the game first before you start on the special 'options'.

bug: if you are attacked and you dont have any army only peasants, click fight and an enemy unit will just stand there on the screen and nothing happens.

Think I'd like to see persistent achievement rewards added. Give unique bonuses for each nationality and difficulty you beat the game with.

How to hard Russians: Get 3 peasants. Send 2 against the 2 that come. Build hut. Early church, go crusade path. Don't buy farms. Get cowsheds. Get the defenders upgrade to solve your early defense issues. Take the first miner upgrade though, greatly helps economy.

Beat hard as Russians doing a crusade style. Had 4 angels at one point, 3 from my buildings and 1 from celestial arena. Scroll of reduction on the final wave helps.

Just wanted to say to the creator that this game is absolutely awesome. Byzintine Empire and a few others really need a little boost....other than that, it has a nice balance and endless replay opportunities. Great game!

Also, needs a Reset button for when you accidentally send too many militia. And needs a Menu button so you can restart the game without refreshing the page.

Somehow I got to level 51. I was playing on easy, Englishmen and solved all the scouting levels. Won with a "Confident Victory"

Its a nice game and instant favourite, but its way too hard, to win with a random civilization. Thats why easy should be called normal, normal called hard, hard very hard and very hard impossible.
Or playing as russian, celts, byzantines should be called hard.
Anyway, the game is rly appealing for me. No need to do any new graphics etc.

Definitely interesting! I voted you up on Steam Greenlight, but you'll need a lot more work to get the game going. Adding more randomness (Events, scouting missions, etc) would greatly lengthen the life of the game. All in all, a solid 4/5 from me; - Great!

Looking at my first battle. I see one unit on the screen, nothing's happening. I click it, I click the battlefield, I click randomly all over, I wait, I try keypresses...nothing's happening.

Great game, but balance seems off. If you pick a race that doesn't start with some sort of unit bonus (e.g. Byzantines) you must invest heavily in soldiers early on or get wiped.
Also, the starting position of units seems random, but makes a huge difference. In an early battle on normal, I sent 2 swordsmen and 3 militia against 2 swordsmen and 1 militia and lost.

Hard can be done. Very hard should be labeled impossible. First turn you get attacked by 3 militiamen about 9 out of ten times. Only way to reliable beat it is to play English or Jap or just plan on restarting a lot. Furthest I'v gotten is year 24.

Ran into a bug: I lost all of my units attacking a unicorn nest, but still won the battle thanks to the nine tigers that popped out. Had to end the year without hiring any more units and was attacked at the start of the next year. But with no units on my side nothing happened - the enemy units just stood there and the battle never resolved.

Ooo just beat hard with mongols - spamming knights with something like 5 or 6 archers in the back, a minotaur, 4 palladins and a few swordmans will do the trick.
gotta build church ASAP - the gold upgrade from the miner faith is of extreme importance for this build. Max until the ore armor, then put all your faith on the palladins - they make your knights stand for the next round.

AI is too random... there should be a way to control, at least, how the army will behave: full attack, balanced, full defense... otherwise, GREAT game, its been a long time since I dont spend that much time in a game that ain't idle =)
