tip:if you cant win at regular 50 years. do this: special games->25 years-> easy -> i won with greeks and getting 2 mazes 4-5 swordsmens 1 knight and 20 militiamens. won those 4 minotaurs easily.

Ok, I can say now that Spanish can be REALLY good. Thanks to the dens I got 2 hydras that multiplied themselves a few times, 200 wood that allowed me to replace my dead archers, and the best: 2 shrinking spells, for years 49 and 50. Always in the edge of the blade, just like a real Spanish general xD

really awesome, for as simple as the mechanics are the game is difficult and addicting. it always feels like I *almost* make it the 50 years, haha. great game design!

This is a nice game! Reminds me of Centurion and Civilisation. Too bad that everything is stacked against you and there is so much focus on battles. At least let me attack the other guy. I expected to scout and find the opponent, instead I find an angel.

As soon as you scout everything the scouting always shows the dot, i think removing the option instead would make more sense.

When my game was over, it said I survived 51 years, but I didn't get the game completed badge... because I didn't survive the final battle in year 51? That's not what the badge said... just sayin'

Neat game. Didn't have a lot of issues as Greeks though. Tried to max economy and get minotaurs then hydra asap. Had to use a few militia at the beginning and a small handful of swordman/knights to keep pace with enemy army increase.

the more this game gets updated the harder it is to win even on EASY difficulty sometimes. I won ONCE as the Americans and that was back before 7.2

It seems like a key part of winning is early economy. So it might be optimal to simply restart if attacked on the first turn (there is no penalty for this). Even if you don't restart you won't want to put 2 militiamen on defense, and the 1 v 1 militia fight is a 50% chance of game over. So it might be worth considering whether the AI need be so aggressive on turn 1.
Also, I feel like the Greeks are really powerful since you get a ~2k and ~4k unit for free once you construct the buildings, and a defense made up primarily of hydras and minotaurs is quite powerful (and is less dependent on spacing than massed units.)

Since all units get fully healed after a battle you should obviously buy a few high health units rather than several low health units. You could have it where units heal between battles and you choose which units to deploy in a fight............... My scouting info should give me SOME info on approaching enemies because I keep getting completely blindsided.

Awesome game. Cool tech tree, nice units design and formation, and cool countries........ Sadly the inability to choose your unit formation basically makes the game impossible to beat. No forces protect my archers, my hydras stray from my paladins, the paladins go in front of my minotours instead of behind them, units prefer to run around in circles instead of flanking, and militiamen are on the front rather than hanging in the back for IF they are needed........I could really use an encyclopedia where I can see what each unit's stats. I guess Hydras are better than Minotours but by how much?....... There should be a country that gets a bonus to angels because they are cool........ We see a supply limit for food, but why not for each unit. How many more paladins can I buy?....... The tech tree is really good but its presentation should be better so I can see what I need to get what.

Very neat! I like the system of spending faith points on "belief" updates; nice touch. The simple retro graphics remind me of old MUDs

How is a game this bare-bones so laggy? I have to hold the mouse button for a good second or so just to navigate menus.

The game isn't bad, though when I saw the name "50 years (>>>>GRAPHICAL<<< I was expecting a game whose graphical style changed, starting with something that looks like a child scribbling on paper, all the way up to hd graphics.

I have no problem with basic graphics, but this badly needs formatting. The buttons just sort of smoosh together; it's clumsy looking and feeling.

I think Russians are a bit over powered. Sure you lose the ability to get archers, but with a reasonable build, you can have over 60 knights running around.

Lovely game!
Both the scrolls seem to be 'auto win battle', I think they would be more fun with a more subtle effect, perhaps stats bonuses.
