Nothing short of excellent, If i were to nitpick i would agree with other commenters that there is a lack of instruction--but i honestly did not have any problems picking it up immediately, some things were less obvious but it was overall a great short adventure as a orc who is saving dwarves who got trapped in chests for some reason

I clicked to chop things with my axe as an orc... I never thought I'd be trying to time my axe shots to jump over the fire and hitting a skull on a pole which deactivates a ghost, allowing me to free someone inside a chest, who jumps out of the screen, followed by me jumping off the screen too...

I really enjoyed this game! Good job on challenging the player to think out of the box. Mabye there could have been a few hints, like in "Sleepy Knight". Love your games, keep up the good work!

Your games always have such interesting mechanics. I like it a lot. Good little puzzles focusing more on being clever with the mechanism then necessarily the player's reflexes.

Amazing game!!! Way to take a simple concept and take it all the way to a game. Wonderful tutorial-less challenge. Thank you.

love it, have a some work through for button in the game is better than just some text. But all the level and learnning curve is good :D

Yet another great example of yet another simple mechanic taken to surprising depth. You continue to amaze me, eddynardo! A bit too jumpy-and-runny for my personal taste (esp. levels 11 and 14), but that still makes for a solid 4.5 out of 5 (rounded up).

A pretty solid game, but Choppy Orc has such a different feel and execution compared to Sleepy Knight and One Trick Mage. Both other games featured a gradual build-up of challenge, introducing new mechanics and obstacles over time, whereas Choppy Orc starts out with everything he'll need by the end and the only addition to mechanics comes in the form of chopping ghost posts and utilizing the boomerang function to hit bats one couldn't normally reach. The lack of tutorial or knowledge gating is palpable; this feels like a challenge level pack for an otherwise nonexistent game. I liked it overall, but I feel this could have been so much better fleshed out.

For everyone confused about level 13 - throw axe at stick to stop the ghosts. Go back to the starting area, and return your axe - it should kill the top bat on the way back. If not, repeat with a better angle. Once the bat is dead, the level is straightforward (ghosts then remaining bat).

I'm getting Sleepy Knight vibes. As if the main character was replaced and the rest of the games are almost identical. Hmm...

Brilliant. The way you introduced the ability of the ax to kill on its way back in an easier puzzle then expanded on that core concept was amazing. Well thought out levels. I'm getting Nintendo vibes.

Barrieboo I threw the axe at the bouncy wall dropped down and let it kill the bat and bounced up to drop back in. what is the other way?

Been a while since I wandered in Kongregate, it's so good to find a game of this quality after so many disappointing re-visits, I'm still moving my head to the music <3

at level 15 i was like: Oh, so this is how it's going to be from now on. I like where this is going. Then the game was over :(. I feel like you could expand a bit on the mechanic provided at level 15. It's a great game as it is now, but it makes me want more (complex) levels.

That feeling when you have an idea for a really cool unintended level skip, but you have to go through the entire game just to practice it because it's on Level 14 (out of 15). Ugh.

5/5 fun game with some really interesting mechanics. I got stumped twice (had to look up video tutorials). Really liked the game and if there was a 2 I assume I would like it too

Game is great, but I think you should change axe control button to something else then "SPACE", I always mistake it for jump.

Kind of like Portal, in that all the puzzles are self-contained, simple yet making you use your brain, failure sets you back less than a minute, and you get a single tool with intuitive functions that you have to use in creative ways. Good stuff, just wish it was longer.

Ahh my reflex are too bad for all of your games, the puzzle dificulty curve is also rather slow, for me that is. Anyways, actually i LOVE your games, but personally they frustrate me in the wrong way

A great game as always. The way you find a simple mechanic and build upon it is an amazing thing to watch. Seriously great to play.
