The controls do not work in chrome, however they do work in firefox for me. I'd suggest switching your browser of you are experiencing this problem.

this game is broken. he won't move i tried on other games that require the arrow keys and it worked. so it isn't my keyboard. it is really pissing me off. i need the achievement of the day

I'm sorry but I had previously given a great rating to this, and since I also seem to be unable to do anything, no keys seem to make him move, so I constantly just die...I dropped my rating down to 2 stars. Please fix this.

Also another problem is that when you post a serious concern in comments for developer to work on, people rate it down because you dare have an opinion on this game. Seriously instead of voting down a post just listen to the valid points. Hit zone is too large. You should not have to be two blocks away from something to not get killed by it, especially when the controls are set up poorly and your character moves with little control. The controls are very imprecise, your aim is incredibly off on anything, paired with being slippery and fast you're pretty much bent over. The speed of the scrolling levels leaves no room for error. You'll be dead if you stop moving. There's a difference between making a challenging and fun game and making a stressful and OK game.

This game is pretty bad, the controls are shaky, and the aiming is off, if you stop for a second or two you die. If you're adjacent to a saw, you die. Other then it being bad to play it's different so that's not bad.

Hard to control for me.Som reason my char either keeps running to the side without me having to hit an arrow key or he just doesnt jump when i command him to.

I FINALLY got the badge of the day as I acquired the fourth band-aid. Now I can never ever EVER have to play this game again. It's one hour of my life I'll never get back.

....Meatboy's girlfriend is really lazy. While I have to risk my life trying to reach her, jumping through obstacles, she just stands there and waits for me.

The most over-responsive, twitchiest controls I have ever come across. Drags the game down from "yet another platformer" to "yet another terrible platfomer".

Having purchased Super Meat Boy, it's nice to look back and see the humble beginnings of the IWBTG-tough game. It's very pleasant... This game gives hope for the smaller game development teams for their games! Wonderful. Keep succeeding, Team Meat!

I have discovered that by holding an arrow key towards a wall and continually jump off of it, you can jump up a single wall.

@Loupy Games like these resemble the older games,Castlevania,Ninja gaiden(I've played them on emulators,and they are still hard.Even with cheats).Don't expect each and every game to portray you as a human who can withstand over 9000 bullets,but kills everyone quicker than they can even fart.It's popular because the difficulty makes it fun.However the map pack makes the difficulty extremly frustrating.

And the physics is terrible

How come there are badges for a game that does not work at all in one of the most popular browsers. :?
