ppl stuck on lv 19: build north away from enemies, get to the top of screen and build land right towards goal. use land down to keep green from attacking up the top and join land finally from above the goal to win without fighting that much. ;) ....Ps, use the waypoint tool to draw troops north, then click 'make settlements' when they get there so you can keep building the land bridge round the enemies!

I would like a few things that would make this game so much better: Of course, there's sandbox mode. I'd also like teams, (2v2, 3v1, etc.) since I'd think it'd be pretty good. An option of diplomacy would also be wonderful. Sometimes, I just want to build troops up and, even though the enemy is unbelievably weaker, they still attack, so ceasefires and whatnot would be nice. That's all I can think of right now.

Zingledo, remember that you just want to get the totem. I went to the far right and headed up until I got there. But you must, YOU MUST, make small islands every once in a while to build shelters so your people don't die due to time. And remember, use waypoints.

stopped at lvl 19. once this happened to me on this map: vulcan + lightning storm on me in the first seconds... then i was finished :P

need option to kill music but leave the rest of the sounds. Annoying music forced me to mute all sounds. lose a point for that alone.

1. You are not a god in any way - you are a dump terraforming machine. 95% of things you should do is just to make all flat. This is more than enough for most missions. Another 5% - remove enemy swamps, drown their heroes. The sheer amount of micromanagement with this makes it is not so fun as it could be.
2. Mana issues. You don't have enough mana to feel yourself a GOD. Hurricanes, heroes, storms? Nope. More terramorfing. You have mana? Ah, the mission ends..
3. Troubles with lack of help. Water pool can suddenly disappear. In which aspects earth hero is better than storm one? What is the point of forests?
4. Useless spells. Say flame mountain. Why should I do it, if I need to make it flat again? Usually it is much better to storm the front. While your warriors do their job you terramorph as a damned slave.
5. Slow scroll, no fast forward button. It was mentioned before - they are vert worth adding.
3.5/5. 4/5 for the spirit of the very first Populous.

If you are having trouble with 19, there are two solutions. If you aren't the best at fighting the other clans and expanding quickly, then make a dash for the totem by building a land bridge of sorts around the other island, utilizing the waypoint magic. If you actually want to fight them, I suggest heading immediately down to the bottom right of the map and building there while they fight each other.

Jeez, why are your opponent's Heros so FRIGGING POWERFUL when yours are SO FRIGGING WEAK?! Seriously, it takes like 10 fights to kill one of the opposing tribe's heros, while it only takes 1 or 2 to kill one of yours!!!! TOTAL PROBLEM!! Also, they take up TOO MUCH MANA for their VERY WEAK powers. Yes, the Earth Hero (which costs 480 (!) MP gets killed almost INSTANTLY!!!

Now I'm stuck at Level 29.... the AI seems to prioritize on attacking me instead of another AI, causing total destruction before I have enough mana to create hero / reduce their growth. Any ideas?

Tip on how to terraform fast on water: on the same block click twice to terraform, then click once to remove.
PS: When using water storm form the first time you'll have a ”Oh shit!” moment.

The game is full of bugs: can't change the graphic level, option menu doesn't work, land 11 doesn't let you end the land when you beat it.

Can you also reprogram the villagers to attack the village that actually HAS a land bridge when set to "look for a fight" cause mission 19 becomes increasingly annoying when half your army sits at the edge of the your island instead of attacking the other tribe which you made a land bridge for.. But it is a a great game other wise

Great game! Only criticism is that even after I have defeated the enemy and place a way point on collecting a totem, it doesn't end... And it randomly ends... Any ideas why? Congrats on capturing the essence of Populus and making a unique game!

LOL, just saw all the comments on Level 19, i won that level the quick way, which i will explain to help you, it isnt too hard, this was the only level i did this on, the other levels looked like it wasnt worth it. Ok, Right at the start place a waypoint NE of your base just above the green players island, but not close enough that he will connect it, tell your units to go to waypoint, only 1-2 guys will come, but that will be enough. remember to keep at least 3 squares away from green. Once your at the waypoint tell your men to build settlement and provide room to do so (before they starve), expand the 1 building until it produces someone, then place a waypoint (or 2) to get to the finish and guide 1 man along it. This is the best way to win this level

after giving it a lot of thought, i know what i would want in this game now. - Terraforming should have a limit to 30 per minute, this amount continues to stockpile up -> This is because i want to watch what is happening and cast spells. I want to cast spells, i really do, but from experience i know that 'all "lightweight" spells are not worth the cast cost'. A limit i thought would be better because we want to build towns still, but i want to spend my time doing other things too. Other than that. -Lightweight spells cost too much -> all spells that cost between 100-299 are not worth the cost, even if u have tons of leftover mana, it isnt worth the time it is to terraform. Their only useful purpose seems to be to cause some harm to buildings just before you attack, even still 99% of the time it is worth suffering waiting on a volcano, because volcanos ARE AMAZING (DEFINATELY MY FAVORITE SPELL!!!!). So yea, that is my 2 points.
