@Crystal8Witch: during a turn you should be able to use the regular undo button to work back through everything you did in that turn.

There is a bug where I can rewind to the end of a turn. It won't let me undo moves or make any additional moves in that turn. The only option is to end the turn and get right back to the position I rewound from in the first place. So, the bug makes me waste 1 of my three rewind chances when I go to use a rewind.

@marsrover2: The zombify option for conquest levels is new, in addition to what they said in their last blog post (as linked in the game).

The original maps are real cool, but the fanmades, a lot of them are bugged, or have only one path (move by move) to win, killing all the fun and creativity. Stick to the original maps, if you want to enjoy a game, not lose just lose time and patience.

Finally the option to zombify any Conquest mode, even mode: Zombies. Next would like to try all Expeditions with zombies on. Maybe unlock zombify expedition only after winning it first.

@Candraedra: I'd add there that while conquest maps aren't designed with a specific solution, it's also rare that you'll have no chance to win one. You're placed by the same algorithm as everyone else and get your choice of nine variations on it to avoid starting in an unwinnable spot.

@somelame conquest is maps randomly generated based on your inputs and some have no solution. expedition is maps generated by the creator or the player base, and each one has a solution.

I've found a general strategy that works on most maps in old world. Expand, backstab closest, block defend amass gold, then finish the game. I've found that if I wait too long and keep expanding the rival closest will predictably backstab me. Being so close there's nothing to do expect to backstab them first.
Yes, you can build a lot of castles, but its easy to miss a move or two and then suddenly all your units can't get paid. You would think the rival might not backstab if they are friendly and there is a more powerful nation, but as the tutorials says the rivals are snakes.
The A.I. would rather go for a cheap razing of a town then ally against the strongest opponent. Therefore, you gotta be aggressive even if hiring 2-3 pikemen or an early knight harms your economy. Try to relocate on some maps so your back is to the water so they can't flank you.

This game needs an impossible badge that requires to complete every island.
The true greatness badge can be completed without ever touching Islands of Pain or Mapmaker's Archipelago which I heard are the most challenging islands to complete.
I just finished the Old World, Dead Islands and Unstable Vortex but I want to clear every island, it's a shame I won't get any additional badges out it.

WebGL is suddenly crashing for me on firefox with this game. I can get into the game for like 60 seconds before it crashes. I played for an hour or so yesterday without issue.

It took me a while to complete all the maps, I couldn't stop after I completed all the badges. Mapmaker Archipelago was really challenging. Especially the Antarctica map. Now I'm even sad because there's no more challenge in this little game.

I was granted all the badges and all the maps have opened, just because I refused to reset the account from different device? What is that?

This game is sooooo addictive, and I don't know how better to illustrate that than with the fact that I just finished True Greatness, almost a month since getting the rest of the achievements. Part of me wants to be done with it now, but... there are still plenty of levels I haven't beaten...

I think peace should be a a way to win. Say, you have 50~60%+ of land, and all surviving enemies are max relation with you, you should be able to make peace.

@jaxrim4 For the last level of dead islands you have to remember several core mechanics of undead: 1. They only make you undead when you are adjacent to them or their city and unprotected by your own city or castle. 2. Zombie knights spawn when all the torches are lit on their own castles (killing one zombie adds 1 torch to the castle it belongs to). 3. Your knight can block the Zombie knights, but most of the time it is not worth it. 4. Your city/castle walls protect you from zombies for 3 turns (adjacent, adjacent with ladder, inside)
Then the strategy that I used was to get rid of 3 zombie castles around you (1 by 1, calmly) and expand to the bottom in order to get the stable income. Then protect your city only when zombies are within walls and avoid turning on the zombie knights by killing too many zombies at once. Use the 1 hex spots as the best defense places for castles or your holy knight.

Maekke97: capture the mine on the top left of you making sure you do NOT cut of any of the enemy troops, that way when yellow captures his territory the big scary player can pay his troops, after that keep blocking while expanding

very understandable that you want to take it slower, a bit ironic that below that post there is a link to "but can you do it faster" as if people read it and then ask you to do taking it slow faster ;-)

I have definitely seen enemies on hard ignore easy tagets among themselves, just to focus entirely on the current biggest party (sometimes me, sometimes anothe AI enemy).
