it quickly became bullshit with the enemy having too many ranged units with too long range. also decision makes no different.

Almost have tried every possible combination of actions. How Can You Let The Witch Live In The Town? There has to be 1 way!

I give this game 4 stars, +5 stars for the "Telltale Games"-like narrative choices and -1 star for the disinclusive "Riot Games" ethnic makeup of your fantasy world.

While the facade of a story might have been nice, conversation choices really have no effect. Mission speed varies, and often luck more than actual bad planning forces a mission restart. I'm not sure which is worse, unlimited enemy range from the beginning of the game or the boss which is insultingly tedious.

@that guy Suljin mentioned: screw you, you narrow minded idiot. i'm the mayor, now shut the heck up and sit down till your needed. the nerve of some people, am i right? >.> always trying to ruin things just because they disagree.

Erm, so I vouch for the witch's life and no-one listens, but then when I go tell all of them to go die a horrible death at the hands of the undead to defend my safety, they all jump ready in a heartbeat; is there some fine print to being the Mayor that I missed?

One thing I found annoying... unlimited range of enemy units before you get to upgrade range < .<
Also... farmer spam for apple trees = win.

It is disappointing that the plot is completely linear other than not getting to see the merchant a few times. I beat the game with really nice decisions and once with all stupid decisions and its 99% the same. The story was extremely good for how little screen time the characters received it would have been very nice to see what the witches characters could have developed into.

A really great game. Great unit composition and functions........One way it could be improved would be by letting us slow down gameplay when needed or let us see out units better. Because of the isometric perspective I had a hard time seeing where I had open slots or if a lane was blocked. And since everything is so fast I often times had to just haphazardly throw units around.........I am completely mystified by the fact that your units are removed at random. It sucks when I put all my gold into one class and BAM, its gone.

so in the end farmers are all you need because they are cheeper and increase food. all you need to do is level up range all the way and they are deadly as hell. also their trees make for weak walls if shit hits the fan. screw everything else in the last levels of the game! farmer army UNITE!

It's a fun game at times, but I would rather have a horizontal layout than this 3/4 perspective since it was hard to see how everything lined up. I also HATED that you just lose a group of your characters for the end game, and that's just part of the problems. It's almost like the devs went out of their way to irritate the players.

por que? no me deja hacerme amigo de la bruja... es muy facil decir que no a las ideas de los demas, que de el tambien

This is a good game and all, but the most infuriating part about this game is the skills of engineers, clerics etc. are DROPS ON A PERCENTAGE, which makes some levels just depend on pure DUMB luck of whether a wall skill is gonna drop or not, and the plazing of units, do not matter at all, please tweak this, but for now, 3/5

is there last town 2 coming out where you remake all actions and hey what happens to witch? I got bored just playing parts where your clueless hero?

Tips: Town Perks list, in order of most important to least important: Endurance (Tier 4/T4 Perk), Leadership (T2 Perk), Adrenalin (T3 Perk), Bravery (T4 Perk), Stockpile (T2 Perk), Courage (T1 Perk), Intimidation (T4 Perk), then all other perks, with the following exceptions; Fortune (T1 Perk) and Scavenge (T2 Perk) should be acquired early on to help buy other perks and training.
Regarding town members, it's best to get Archers and Clerics as soon as you can. For training, get all five upgrades for Farmers, and at *least* the first two upgrades for Clerics.
With Stockpile, Leadership, and Musket maxed, and 2 +50 food/day bonuses from the merchant, surviving the days you don't have farmers for is easy.
If you don't like your digging income on any given day, or don't like your choices when the game makes you choose which group of units to keep, exit to menu and load save, digging rewards and group choices are randomized every time.

Suggestion for improved gameplay; connect the skills and units to hotkeys. (example: apple trees=1, shadow assassinate=2, etc. etc., farmers=Q, assassins=W, etc. etc.) Starting around day 15, it started to become really important to be able to use a skill or place a unit repeatedly and in a short time frame, and there are no shortcuts that make doing so possible. Another possible solution would be to hold shift for multiple uses at once, but that would be somewhat less helpful than just having hotkeys.

Damn, I beat the game, got memorialized...come back late to check and it had switched all my memorial titles to different ones.

"4) If you can't beat a level, try building only (maxed) farmers."
The first really hard levels are the ones where you can't use farmers. In one of those levels, the brute zombies obliterate my javelineers while the magic zombies slip past and invade my town despite 4 points in Musket.

Decent game, but the playing grid could use some tweaks. It sometimes get frustrating whenever I misplace a unit just because I can't see where I'm placing it on. Oh, and, Farmers are pretty op atm.

Certainly better than the 3.65 it currently has, but providing some more insight about some of the utility characters would've been helpful. For instance, the engineer, largely worthless. He won't be able to build a wall until halfway through the level when he finally gets his perk point.

level 11 is possible without musquets: place 2 healers in the centre with passive and javelin/engineer with 3 upgrades on the side of these than 2 more javelins on the outlanes(in the back). Its a great game and should have a much hihger rating, its fun and the upgrades are really cool. great job

Ffs, create a defense game with slow moving enemies, and don't add a fast forward button? The first wave has what, five enemies and I took more than a minute to kill them all. I can only imagine how long it takes to finish a wave higher up in the game. 1/5
