This was really run at first, but by the time I hit room 5,5 it was only stressful and boring even with a Walkthrough to try and help solve the puzzle.

Some of the mechanics in this game need a tutorial so people don't have to look at the walk-through in order to figure out what to do... the means by which you multiply your character had me stumped for quite some time.

there are some rock pushing mechanics that are so arcane to me I have stumbled upon solutions to levels just by knowing what the solution MUST be without understanding how it happened

my biggest issue with this game is that I'll have two new ideas introduced to me on a single screen (you can step on red tiles and stay alive if a boulder hits you and boulders can push you into flags even if they can't interact with flags were both introd on the same screen to me) and then I forget it and have to relearn for later puzzles. maybe the game is too dense. maybe I am

There is something wrong with the tutorial. There's a level which is impossible to finish. There's a rock in the way of the only path through, and if you push it toward the next flag, it becomes impossible to move further, and if you try to go around it to push it out of the way, you run out of moves. This seems like a big bug/glitch to me!

This is one of those games I keep coming back to; inventive mechanics, challenging puzzles...and kittens! Can't ask for more than that...

The game seems to have bugs that prevent me from getting the stars, I followed a walk-through video on YouTube to confirm it's definitely bugged ergo the hard badge is in fact an impossible badge

One of the best puzzle games in this site. When you realize how respawning actually works (it took a while for me), it feels like starting a whole new game. Well done.

Six step Steven is the name I wish the sequel should be named. Reasons: One extra letter, one extra step. Even adding one can make a big difference.

I've played this game before, but didn't really pay attention to how well you handled the "tutorial". I wasn't forced to do anything, i wasn't stopped from doing anything. 5/5 tutorial

Nope. It's not a progress indicator. That's like saying the number of times you have ridden in a bus is a progress indicator of how old you are. No matter what that number is, you have no idea how far you've come, nor how far you have to go. I am prepared to argue this for all eternity, just FYI.

Amazing game! The puzzles were hard, but never seemed impossible. You almost always know the solution, but positioning the setup is the fun part.

Yes I realise there are 21 cats and 6 stars. It says it right there in the badge description. That is not a progress indicator. If there was a cat on every level, THEN you'd know how far you are into the game. But we don't know which levels will have a cat or a star. Therefore, no progress indicator.
Most "levels" have exactly 1 kitten at the end of them. While it isn't a perfect measure of progress by any means, progress indicators typically "estimate of how far through a task the system has progressed" (Wikipedia). 5 Step Steve might not have the best/most precise progress indicator, but it has a progress indicator.
