Real fun game...but its more of a strategy more than it is than a shooting game. you see, skill points become very rare after leveling 10-20 levels or so, and at the same time spawning more foes... i advise that at most skill points should be used on HP regeneration before getting the offense skills. in the next few versions that you will make, either place more power ups (shields, health packs, etc.) to make the game a bit less stressing. Rate this up if it helps.

figured it out i was doing it wrong gotta stay far enough away from them. also, with all trophies you have to be level 54 to upgrade everything all the way... CHALLENGE ACCEPTED

lari if there were checkpoints the game would become so easy we'd never play through the whole game. man up and learn to weave and circle D:<

Either I stink at dodging, my computer is too fast, or EpicShadow deliberately designed the "Platinum Chain" Achievement to be incredibly hard. As in "Meat Boy" hard. Every single other achievement that didn't have Platinum chain as a prerequisite was a walk in the park compared to this one.
Still, great game! Might recommend an auto fire for the sequel, though.

@Yoshidude That can happen in any (mouse controlled) flash based shooter if you click off the screen. It has to do with the cursor tracking subroutines.

Excellent game! I really appreciate that speed and handling are not artificially sluggish at the beginning. There are plenty of interesting things to upgrade; piercing was far more useful against the vessels than I expected.
Minor issues: The game uses exactly the same sound when your shield gets hit as when your ship gets hit, which is counterintuitive and makes it harder to figure out whether your chain has been broken. Deadly mine explosions look identical to enemy death explosions, which don't seem to harm the ship. And pleeeeeease add an autofire option for those of us with RSI. Any chance you can fix these for part 2? :)

Too much clutter on the screen. For a fast paced game, having something as useless as damage written without the option to remove it is very unnecessary and really detracts from the game.

I love this game, it has that nice retro feeling that makes me want to play it OVER AND OVER AND OVER again. 5 stars for you, buddy.

I love that this game isn't mind crushingly difficult. Nice music and I like the simple graphics. Is very fun and the trophies are reasonable but challenging. I don't see the point in having a story if you aren't going to do anything with it though. Then again, it is your typical "dark vs light" kind of thing, so maybe we are better off not knowing the tale :P Not trying to be rude. Just sick of that type of plot. Anyway, good game and would love a sequel perhaps with some background variety.

I FINALLY DID IT! My life is complete.....I 100%ed this game.....and made The ULTIMATE Gunship (I got that name from Joopie99) which is when you have EVERY upgrade at once.....maxed level

I was THIS close to getting the ultimate gunship (max rapid fire, max fire spread, max piercing, max critical, max regeneration): I upgraded all those skills to the max except for critical. I was at L5 for critical and had earned 4 of the 5 upgrade points for the final upgrade. Then I died...
Great game!

It's a fun game, but I wish you could choose from different maps. It gets a little boring just staying in that one small area. Anyways, 4/5

I like those little retro explosions and the music is like dubstep. I still think it needs auto fire because clicking on M1 for 30 minutes isn't comfortable. The pixels are well made though!
4/5 :)
