I like that it is challenging. It isn't overwhelmingly difficult or tedious to the point of being boring. I find the difficulty a nice breath of fresh air amongst quality flash games. Challenging games are a bit of a retro thing, so it's nice to have that go hand in hand with the retro feel.
I'd love to see one of the kids that grew up on casual games play an old arcade cabinet game, like Moon Patrol. "lol, died in 2 seconds, controls are crap, failgame"

Finally beat this game but the jumps are ridiculous. You have to time it perfectly and when you miss 1 little orb you have to go all the way back up and get it -_-. But anyway it was a good game 4/5.

this game is by far, not a walk in the park and requires patience, but is by no means impossible. i dont think id want this to be any other way.

Good, but I agree with some others that a few of the jumps in the "human" evolution require a bit too much precision. I spent a lot of time second guessing if some of those pixels were actually supposed to be for after the next evolution. 4/5

This game actually genuinely made me feel proud and happy to give up my pixelated body to the fountain. A simple yet great storyline and i love retro games and this is no exception. graphics are obviously nothing special; its a retro game. but its the simple movement and gameplay that makes all games like this special. I also liked the fact that the difficulty threshold of lining up jumps was challenging but not impossible. look forward to similar work by EvilDog. I would suggest a second game with the same thing but lots of levels, but if the storyline wasn't all there it would become a let down to the original pixevo game. your call. 5/5 repetitive, simple and catchy music topped it off for me too! :P loved it, a great play

sad ending :( even though it was frustrating it's what kept me playing :P 4/5 for now seems like it's lacking something i don't know but i'll fav it just because the fountain needs constant saving :D

4.9/5 (rounding up) but as the final form, the switch you are supposed to press wont activate for me, it says use at the top, but pressing shift and CTRL do nothing

This game would be good if I didn't have to find tiny pixels that are randomly scattered all over the place while making irritating precision jumps.

Evilddog, I will kill you... like a dog! (j/k, naturally, but damn was that a frustrating experience)

very nice game. Enough "hard" moments, a bit of frustration, and a very nice atmosphere. The "retro" style is a nice design element of this game, because it does not distract from the core gameplay. The story is a nice addition to the game, and takes it just that bit further then a regular platformer. Made me think of "robot want's kitty", "vvvvvv" and "star guard", keep up the good work, can't wait to see what you come up with next.

good game over all, so annoying trying to find the last few... whatevers... for new evolution. the music was killing me until i realized you could mute it with M lol i give it a 4/5 you definitely have to be patient and precise to get threw this entire game.

Really nice concept and great implementaion. Simple yet challenging. The little figure controlls like a brick, but I guess this is the whole point of the game. I like how with each stage one can literaly feel the newfound freedom. Also, great level desing.
You rock! :)

I would 5/5 this game but it just gets annoying when you have to climb all the way back up to a place just to miss the pixel again because you were one pixel to far from it. 3/5.

It's a cool game. I like pixel based platformers. I like the evolving better than upgradable games, this is more story like, in stead of just playing a game. It can be quite hard to find the last pixel before your next evolvement though. 4 / 5

The idea of a new "evolutionary platform game" is nice and I also appreciated the 4bit graphic style. The problem is that at its core it is a very mediocre platform game with frustrating passages and pixel-perfect jumps. Simply, it is not fun to play.
