Wariat117: "i no have boat , have 62 silver coins , 1333 opium hests , 3010 tea hests and "final tea order awaiting order (due in 1 weeks) and no lose game..." I'm also stuck like this. Guess I just have to refresh and try getting the badges again. :(

win is easy - just buy from start opium when price is lower than 50 and sell always if price is higher than 50. Often there is plenty amount of contracts for opium with 55-65 price and opium for almost all long game is sold for 45-50 (something for a little while is 80 so dont buy then ofcz).
And very quickly u will get another ships then game is funny - just try dont stop clicking and u will have 80 milion points almost always (I get my hard badge on second try)

By 1835 every single port was on the alert and they stayed on the alert all the way to 1839. I must have been the most wanted smuggler in the region.

@JoelCooke The first time I played the requirement was 720 then subsequently it remained at 660. Not sure why though.

Some people are suggesting that the last shipment of tea to England is 720 crates. Even when I "beat" the game my highest is only ever 520. This is the case in both firefox and IE. Is anyone else having this problem, or do I just have the wrong end of the stick?

While india could supply britain with tea,It couldnt do it on its own. china is a much larger and therefore produces MUCH more tea.

I couldn't buy enough tea for Britain... why? I could only buy 30 crates at a time, which wasn't enough to keep up with making a profit, waiting for the prices to fluctuate in my favor, buying opium, etc. 5 and 15 seem useless, I'd rather have 25, 50, and 100 crate options.

company doesnt gave its profit for free. uk gave license to trade at east asia with the name of county and demand some needs. those times world was not global and safe. you need really good *ss to trade that far so uk is partner with its navy which guarantees clear trade routes.

it's not that the badge is hard, but more of you need to prepare for the later levels, I got stuck with tea and opium in the 50s and 60s, and I didn't have nearly enough stock to satisfy the brits

this game is hard? badge is hard? first try and 102 mil pts. Clue is buying for low price, waiting till dock is free, and sell only if is high price. But you also have to watch quantity of shipment. When selling 3 bags of opium it is crap business. You will not have ships available when will be needed. (sry for grammar)

A crate has 200 million cups of tea. If google's right and tea costs 1-3 dollars per cup, then that's 200-600 million dollars for one crate. Crates normally cost 10-30 silver (for simplicity), so 1 silver represents 20 million dollars of our current money. If you retire on 10000 silver, you're richer than Bill Gates (much richer). Unless tea has become much more expensive compared to the cost of living, you'll have 200,000,000 dollars. If you think 30-90 silver is a more accurate value for tea, then you'll still be rich enough to live in a house made of solid gold.

Woot, finally got 101,992,011 after several tries. Key is to stock up ALOT of opium at the start, then sell it off later at a higher price, preferably above 55. At the start of the game, after you get your bribe card, trade everywhere that has a good price because you have nothing to lose (if you don't use your bribe card you will lose it later). The score depends on how much opium and tea you sell and not how much you sell it for. So try to sell more, don't worry about taking risks late game.

A bit too easy game. I played it first and beat the game on first try, got 60M second try I knew how to play, but didn't manage to beat it (needed 30 more on final shipment and a just when buying that 30 reached max, it was game over) and managed to pass 80.

yes MORE buy amounts (100, 500, 1000) unless thats whats you meant to do to just make the game harde (not having more buy amounts) :P maybe if you had to pay a little extra to get over 30 chests? just tossin that out there

With a final shipment of 720 crates, you can barely buy it fast enough to keep up, even if the market is obliging (and it is not.)

Too much hasty clicking here and clicking there for me here. A turn-based version with more depth would have probably made it a classic. 2/5

Hmm i think this game isn´t that good, because there are dangerous places too often and if there are cheap prices and you buy some it´s over too fast ... Have some trouble doing the 80kk

Good ole Britain... Just feel like throwing this out there. There is a reason Britain doesn't pay for the tea, they still hold one of the worlds largest navies, and had done so since before the opium wars. Your in a British ship, probably under watch of British guards, you want paid for the tea? How about a keelhauling and we find a new captain.

The game is way too random. I've beaten in with a score of 30k and failed with a score of 78k. This is one of those badges that just shouldn't exist.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
got all the badges, but never quite beat the game. 70 tea short on the very final tea order. =/ Very well balanced game, possible, but requires a lot of finesse and planning ahead.
