60 chests of tea in 42 weeks? no problem?
570 chests before Britain stops liking me? i cant click fast enough :( i lose

The randomness needs to be scaled back. I just went from game start all the way to my first shipment being due without a *single* opium trade offer. The game before that, my ship kept getting seized because the only offers were from the same port over and over.

Hmm, i beat the game. Assuming I was Britain's entire source of tea, the average Brit drinks 5.1 cups of tea every day.

Spam clicking almost 50% of the time just to meet the tea needs, even though I could afford spamming at like ~90 per tea... I finished with 120 mil on my first try? Seemed too easy for a hard achievement, idk.

Fail mission also can get 80 million points score. I only remain 1 ship working in the last mission. If the game run slower better, can have some time to do planning and strategy. I saw once when opium sell 50 coins, but a country buy it 20 coins.

The game is designed to run you down to your last dollar and last ship. As you scramble to make enough money to compete with rising tea prices, the Brits freak, when you don't get the tea. If you take too many risks, you lose everything, but if you sit on your money waiting for good deals, you can't get the tea in time. Needs some balance issues worked out, was really great concept at first, then turned into mediocre gameplay. 5/5 down to 3.5/5

WHY AM I NOT CHARGING BRITAIN FOR THE TEA?
NO YOU CAN'T PAY FOR YOUR TEA WITH BOATS WHO THE HELL NEEDS MORE THAN THREE BOATS?

awesome game i really enjoyed it i like to see how it works actually works like in real life you buy lots the price just shoots thru the roof! so you gotta plan how much you buy so they stay dirt cheap would love to see the option although to buy more then just 30 takes to long to slowly buy the stuff although i also actually see why you shouldn't make us able to put in as much as we want cause when they hit 3 silver from not buying from being able to buy like 500+

In 1839 You can see both of my charts at the tippy top, then buying 660 chests of tea drove both my Lines down.
Anyway, first time through I got all 3 badges with a score of 84,792,568.
Rank:A wealthy retirement awaits you!
My thoughts:Ok concept, frontier and caravaneer being much better, with higher replay value and much more detail. (With fighting systems, more than 15 goods to trade, and realistic scenarios. Caravaneer being the better of the two.)

was the last level intended to be impossible. I couldnt even make enough money to keep buying opium much less the final tea shipment of 660. Was this bad randomization or trying to make a historical point?

Yeah, I understand that the limit on per-purchase quantity is there to simulate the fact that you can't move arbitrary quantities at the existing price, but come on. The final order is 720 crates, and it takes a week or more to make a deal, so if you don't have any stock you literally CANNOT fill the order before the "due date." At this point prices are typically so high that it's unrealistic to suggest that anybody but you and a few elites in Beijing are getting any tea, which means that you are saying that ALL OF CHINA cannot fill the demand of the upper crust of an island nation of 20 MILLION OR FEWER.
Everyone in the House of Lords must be doing tea bongs while hooked up to a tea IV and wearing a catheter. Seriously, the final screen says I shipped almost 700 billion cups of tea, over the course of 10 years, that is 35000 cups of tea for every British citizen!

Boats should be upgradable in stuff like speed,an eventually cost of traveling cheaper, more cargo for ship, things like that, but still a great game!

What a terrible game. You build up profits only to lose them as the British demand tea faster and faster. Yet they dont pay you for the tea, so eventually they demand so much, at a time when prices are bad, that you cant afford it and you lose.
If you keep a stockpile of money on hand for emergencies, the prices just skyrocket when you buy enough to fill the orders. How is this fun? I give it a 2/5.

played it , loved it , beat it like a wet rug .. dog some sort of euphemism for lots of kicking of the ass . just once the market bottoms out for either of them keep clicking thirty till the price gets bad again . the more opium you have the bigger shipments ppl will want on the other end the more cash you have the bigger bribes they'll want .

Britain, stop being such a glutton for tea... This game has a good art style, though it lacks something. I mean, I sell opium, but seem to keep lacking money even though I sell plenty high. The game goes at such a quick pace and the ships take their time... :/ I'm basically stuck trying to take every possible deal in hopes that I can catch up.

You forget Weed, Cocaine, LSD, and Ecstasy. Oh not to mention the suitcase upgrades etc. Decent clone, but if added the above and called it Dope Wars you'd get 5/5.

Everyone who says that you should be able to buy 3000000 opium at once don't realize that it's done intentionally to replicate the idea of fluctuating prices.

Good game, but really needs an option to buy 50/100/150/300/etc. opium/tea.....a lot of times being able to only buy 30 at a time just doesn't cut it, and more often than not can make a player lose the game.

so close to winning and i hve 20 thousand sivler and tea jumps to 90 silver a crate after only being 6.... cheap shot

buy low, sell high. it's honestly that easy. and always buy the 30 packs because it's faster.
early game = buy any below 30 and sell any above 80. buy all the tea that you can as long as it's below 40.
mid game = buy below 50, sell above 70.
late game = buy even if u break even. and just keep pumping the 30 crates of tea until u win.

Twice i lose because the stupid british cant see im buying the last damn 5 chests while on 1% of their "tolerance". Besides they are ripping me off,i dont want your ships, gimme your POUNDS STINGY BASTARDS <3

Don't know if it's current version or browser, but I seem to be permanently stuck on intro screen. Sigh. Sounds like it might have been a cool game.

Thought this would be fun but it really isn't. . .All of the crashes/spikes are are predefined times which makes it predictably boring and difficult for no reason. . .The fact that you can only buy small amounts at a time on such a huge purchase cooldown makes it very difficult to keep up with the rising demand from Britain with no increased buying capability [having bigger or MORE boats would in theory give you the ability to purchase higher quantities].
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Way too luck based. The price of tea always skyrockets at the worst possible minute, and all of the alternatives to selling at the risky ports aren't worth selling to. I got screwed out of a game because when I could finally afford to meet the deadline I couldn't buy the tea quickly enough. They should really start trying coffee.

4 weeks before the first tea shipment, my boat was taken. All because only one port wanted any opium. And it was very little opium. I ended up with ~120 opium chests and a score of 24...
