soviet russia now gains 0k money after each round >:D time to build 6 armies with ** and have a bunch of paratroopers ready so i can attack head on!

On the other hand, this game forces the Germans to grind it out instead of fight encirclement battles, so the whole thing is completely ahistorical. Call it Blind Risk. Blind because there's precious little explanation of the combat system (or even the game's control systems.) Call it a 2/5.

IRCrimson: You are correct that Russia didn't have so much production. But they brought the Siberian army back to defend against the Germans (once the Russian spy network informed them that the Japanese wouldn't open a second front.) That essentially gave the Russians a huge production boost.

Russia seems to be hard, but you can win quite easily. Block the baltic sea with infantry and send most of the troops directly to Rostov and Chechnya. now the enemy will start sending his costly tanks into the baltic sea, where the cheap infantry will destory them. you just have to make sure that there are enough ships on the sea. if you conquered Rostov/Chechnya the enemy will start to produce troops in stalingrad and you can take leningrad... -> win

looks to have a random combat mechanism... also I cant undo a movement, atack or strategy card... well pointed but seems to be unfinished. 3/5

I may be remembering an alternate reality here but I'm pretty sure Russia didn't have four times the Third Reichs' industrial power at the onset of the war on the Eastern front and yet... they're making 8 tanks to my 8 infantry. Numbers may help as well since I can see you're trying hard to be risk without being just another risk but it's not working. The fights are too random.

can't for the life of me get even a foot hold on Russia! haha great game! would love to see more levels though, possibly the Japanese front? or the defense of Normandy? great game so far

great game. I love the naval aspect. I have a few issues with it though, I wanna see subs and wolf-pack style naval blockades. Upgradable units and field commanders with bonus stats would be good. Not bad though.

FINALLY BEAT IT. ROUND 16. Destroy their ships with infantry when they get full up with tank and art. Use ship at bottom to reach Chechyna.

Great game, I was able to beat the entire game. A great update would be a skirmish or a sandbox so we don't have to play the same map with the same units at the same spot over and over to have fun.

Russia isn't unbeatable. They key is to take the baltic sea with all infantry in the 1st turn, and keep pouring infantry into it every turn. The computer will build tanks, which are no better than inf on the water, but 4x as expensive, which neutralizes his money advantage. On land, play defense, let him weaken his army taking the neutrals, then counterattack when he's only got a few tanks left on the front line. On land, the only unit worth a damn is the tank. Except you need infantry to garrison your backfield (1 each is plenty), or the paratroopers will ruin your economy.

Azihar was right, while it does seem like there might be some kind of army composition, the biggest factor seems to be how many tanks you have. That makes the strategy surprisingly shallow, and in the Russia map, where the enemy starts out with a lot more territories (thus more money) it's easier to get tanks faster-- thus the 'impossible' that you're seeing a lot here.

The game froze right as I was capturing the last Russian territory. I spent all that time and I'm presented with a frozen game.

Good game, put should have it so that when attacking from several countries, the forces combine. Great music and the commentary by the characters was good. 4/5

That ticks me off I finnaly make it to the second part of invading Russia and I look at a specific objective and it doesn't let me do anything then either make it easier or fix the bug :/

A really great game. Similar to risk but with more emphasis on skill than luck. 5/5 but this game really needs badges

Excellent game in a lot of ways, though I'd like to see some development of Air and/or Sea power, as they played a massive role in the War. Attrition would be nice to see as well, as Germany typically had much better soldiers/equipment/vehicles than the USSR, but couldn't deal with the climate as well.

I absolutely love it! Wished for more Inf types like Mechanised (Not the japanese "mechs" but ... Well ... You'll get it ... Motorised etc, but still, well done , and oh, add more campaigns =) ? Like the invasion of the Lowlands?

the options need to be better described, sometimes in the conversation the both persons switch the role and the commandant says commandant to the corporal, i saw that in the september campaign.
i found out how to produce troops after 5 rounds, maybe you should add a ingame tutorial. not only a text one.
overall good game, i would give it a 4/5.
