its easy to beat the russian campaign amass an army defend your borders let them attack you for awhile then capture there territories 2 by 2.I ammased an army of 15 soldiers 20 tanks and 30 altillery and the othewr one is 23 tanks 10 soldiers and 25 altillery then i made 15 tanks and 20 altillery to defend berlin then i captued there productions centers SO EASY! but i wish they would add a D-DAY campaign where the US forces landed in normandy,france and pushed to berlin,if they add that it would be a solid 5/5 but anyway great game!

so in the russian campain. igot ready, kicked there ass. owned half there country, then out of no where they were driving me out and i lost.

poland did not fight back. thats not racist its the truth. britan told them not to fight. and poland was not as advanced at all. the invasion was took a day. and poland still were using cavlry. and by far no match for germany and russia. yes under the secert soviet-germany non aggression they both attacked poland at same time.

great game like the design a bit unbalanced but still 5/5 needs more boards and some balancing but then u got a real hit here i think.

Use Panzers to invade the Soviets. Let's see, in the first 6 months on the Eastern Front there were abot 750,000 German casualties and about 7.5 million Soviet (civilian and soldier) casualties. WHY CAN"T I DO THAT!!! In WWII the Germans had superior everything to the USSR.. except numbers...

Guys, i just defeated Russians!!! The secret is to spend at first all of your money on tanks and after occupy all of the territories which are neutral (yellow), after make sure that your troops are match to the ones on the border. After, attack russins in few directions, but whatever you do, make sure you eliminate the navy. Russians will create a new army, and follow yours, make sure you keep a large russian army to chase you, and constantly try to bomb them, they would eventually lose some of it's tanks and became more vulnerable. You have to HAVE TO to capture at least 1 of their production centre, better two, keep making tanks from those two centres, attack the huge russian army, after take Chechnya, Rostov and other areas which gives you money. Try to distract them and take over their production centres, and slowly take lands which you missed out. That will suffer russian and they would be losing money, time, and more importantly tanks and armies.

Like almost everyone else, maybe nerfing the Russians a bit (some areas has lesser worth maybe, fewer starting armies?).

for every Soviet Tank, send one Artillery. For every Artillery, send one Infantry. for every Infantry, send a Tank. This game is nothing but Rock-Paper-Scissors.

I would suggest that you allow Germany to begin with either random or a set of strategies. As it is, they seem unprepared to commence the invasion of either Poland or the Soviet Union. Also, a strategy that allows the German player to select a neutral territory and activate it as one of his own (Converting the units to his in the process) would help make up for a lack of historical politics. Lastly, both Warsaw and Krakow were in German possession prior to the launching of Barbarossa.
Now, if you want to make it so that Axis performance during the invasion of Poland scenario directly impacts the starting positions for Barbarossa, well, that's an entirely different kettle of tasty fish.

@barca09 Russia did have alot more tanks than infantry in comparison to any other country in the world Russia were very much a tank army.

This game has a potential, however it lacks some logic and historical facts.
1. Germany controlled most of the Europe by the time they attacked Russia.
2. Finland and Romania (transylvaniya and bucharest) were allies of Germany, so therefore the armies in those areas should be under German control
3. In this game Russia from the begginning has a larger army than Germans, which incorrect, Germans at the begginning had a larger army than Russia. Also, Russia had very few tanks and a lot of infantry. In this game, it's the opposite.
4. Germans also had a slight advantage in air support in the first days of war
5 Baltic Sea was not under Russian control. It was neutral between Germany, Sweden and Russia.
But, overall, i am pleased with this game. I wish there would be more such games on kongregate
