Am I the only person who loves spamming level 4-12 with rhinos and dragons to do some super level grinding? (Level 181...almost there!)

Game starts out interesting, but then gets boring and repetitive, then it gets worse once you realize how many levels there are.
the Non-standard levels are interesting, protect the caravan, battle on the walls, but the defend one is just pointlessly hard. you can't move, so most of the battle is outside of your aura, half of the spells don't work corectly, the for some reason always target the middle of the map, so my animals walk all the way forward, outside of where most of my spells can help them, and outside of my aura range, then they all die, and then i am stuck frantically trying to hold them of with a useless random selection of spells.
Also, the ghosts are just stupidly hard, especially in these random battle courses

Thought the Turtle's did not get pushedback by attacks? Mine is frequently on his back with stars above his head...assume he is dead but he pop's back up and walks ahead to only be knocked back again (by witches non the less) Or is being knocked over a separate issue.

Tips: 1. Always have one of each mace and two of each ring, keep highest level and sell the rest. 2. Rings effects stack. 3. Once you acquire a certain level you can win about any fight with just archers, keep spamming them, their focus attack can drop targets several feets away and since they have a great range most enemies can't fight back. 4. Aura bonuses works best mid-late game, exp and gold bonuses work best earlier, food and magic bonuses works best early-mid game, later magic becomes very weak even at the highest levels, health bonuses are plain useless, leave them for last.

This sucks. Up till level 4.3 this game was ok. But now I'm stuck because I can only hope to get enough turtle defenders in this shitty random level. Meh.

A statistic at the end of the battle would be kind of need, where you can see, what creatures you build und what you have lost.

So a few tips: Rhinos/Dragons are NOT better tanks then the turtle. Maybe they have more life, but the turtle has SOO much defense, that the dragon/Rhino does much faster.
Don't use rhinos unless you really need to push. The rhinos pushes so fast, that you might end up losing, because you didn't have enough critters when the enemy den, turned less then 50% health.
It is ALWAYS a good idea to mix up with every kind of critter (except for the rhino). If you have a combination of all, then you will stand stronger. These Tactics are guiding lines, to which units you should focus/spam. But that doesn't mean that you can't mix it up with other critters.
+1 if you like, so future players can get a little piece of advice :)

Here is some different tactics which I found very useful throughout the game +1 if you agree! I haven't tried these on hell, but they work fine on hard.
1. If combo between Ice penguins and dragons, will destroy almost any kind of enemy. If you keep 2 dragon with each penguin, you should be fine, until the football skeleton begins to join the fight. If you don't have enough food to summon both at the same time, which the monsters get to you; Then start off with a turtle, maybe heal it a few times, and spawn the dragon + penguin at the same time.
2. If you wait as long as you can, then spawn 1 turtle, and spam rabbits (if you have upgraded monkeys instead, then just use those, you will be fine either way) The point is, that you keep a couple of turtles in the front, and then the rabbits can own everything with their special attack.

How to beat 3 and 15s
1. ) Never cast any summon unless you have a turtle, and never cast a summon before a turtle.
2. ) do not cast ANY summon (including a turtle) unless you have 2 or more available summons. Sending a turtle out alone will only get him wiped, he isn't a pawn, he's a very crucial force wall for your summons. Alternatively you could hold the turtle in your aura range by allowing the monsters to get near paladog, this creates a damn near permanent tank while you spam casts and summons
3. Hold onto all aoe spells. If your summons have reasonable control of the center, don't waste meteors or bolts, i generally hold onto about 6 of them. So i have room to control summon queues.
Treat Rhinos the same way.
Without a turtle or rhino for the first 20 seconds is an almost a guaranteed lose.

nasty bug: if I move the dog, his speed increases constantly until he makes the whole map in one step. at this point mana behaves strange - isn't spent on lightning. also, boss doesn't appear after dungeon is destroyed - game freezes. last flash/opera

The whole game with Fist of Fury, Turn Undead and Poison maces, and 2 Rings of XP, upgraded when found. What's the point of a variety of rings and maces? There is unfortunately almost no strategic dimension to the game... Entertaining for the first ten levels, tedious thereafter...

Anyone have issues with getting anymore gold/exp after a certain point? Every so often I'll play the first boss for gold and after a couple hundred thousand gold i just don't get anymore. not a big issue but its a bit annoying
