its fun enough, but there is no intuition over how the block moves in the main puzzle. On it's own that's fine, but coupled with every move taking a whole walk to and from the various tablets really put a damper on the exp as a whole. I felt roadblocked every time, it just took so long to figure it out that i trial & error'd it, simply because i didn't have enough freedom to figure out the rules of the block.

Took me about hour+ to beat the game but it's worth it. When I finished the maze I thought it's all over but damn I was wrong :)
The final stage itsn't that hard when you get the paterns and I even thought maybe it isn't the end like happend in the maze :D

I am following a walkthrough, no way I could figure out this maze alone, and it's still really hard. I am almost 4 minutes through a 20-minute speed run since starting yesterday.
Whatever puzzle to complete this game must be really fun, but aside from it is the dying over and over and over again before you can make it to another checkpoint. How did anyone have the time to do both?

This might not be an issue for veterans, but you can't hold Jump to jump right at landing - you have to wait to land and then press the key. (Apparently this is called "jump buffering" in Celeste and isn't universal.)

I'm all for hard games, but I feel like this one is can be a bit unreasonable. I've given this game quite a bit of attention for the past several weeks and am still stuck at the stair case that shoots daggers. Having to make it up the wall jump that shoots at you followed by the that long stairwell all with only being hit twice is a bit excessive.

Just pure horrible. Controls are unresponsive, obstacles are not a test of puzzle solving but split-second reflex and route memory of the traps and platforms. Frustration compounded by poor placement of save points, unnecessarily lengthy runs between them, and bad controls leading to missteps, deaths and restarting.

I wonder how many of the idiots who made this a Best of 2019 game also think Dark Souls and Super Meat Boy are not total crap. . .

Really well done game. I love the puzzles and the challenge was at the perfect difficulty. Hard enough to make you stop and think, get stuck a couple times, but not for too long. I really appreciate the dev going to extra mile with the aesthetics. 5/5 stars.

...Is there a map of objectives or anything anywhere? I started this game a while back, I'm, I'd guess, halfway through, but now trying to restart... I have no idea if I need to go up or down or what I'm even trying to do at all.

Why is this game a part of best game of 2019? Im not talking about gameplay, art or music yet. The game it self is very laggy. Andnothing special gameplay as well :)

Game is irritating - laggy, unprecise in movements. The jump'n'duck sequences, kill all the pleasure of solving puzzles, because you've to spend hours, repeating the same few jumps and ducks, to pass another few blocks of map.

One of that annoying games that you have to finish even if you don't want, because it's a part of the quest :/ There should be option to skip at least one game to finish the quest and it would be definitely this game.

I really don't get all the positive comments on this. This game relies on precise movement but is really laggy: jumps take an extra fraction of a second, you have to sink into the floor spikes a couple pixels before you can jump. The puzzles are great (and new mechanics are introduced perfectly), but the inconsistent lag combined with requirements for precise movement kills this for me. I want to love this game, but I quickly remember why I abandoned it every time I try to earn the badge. Sadly, this doesn't belong on the best-of list.

While there are some fun aspects to this game, it is also incredibly difficult and relies more on luck than any actual skill. I find the controls won't work when I need them to and i have to restart something all over again. Honestly, this is incredibly frustrating and I'm not a big fan, but it's probably just not my style of game.

Collision detection on the first falling arrows section is killing me in the same spot every time. I should be shielding by the moving block, but there is one arrow getting through that hits the player.

The game was long, but the end hit me hard, dude.
SPOILERS!
You kill a statue, and after that you jump on a smiling, big chin stone man who rises to the surface. Fells good man.

Don't you just hate it when it took you hours finish such a brain twister game and see someone in the comment section saying how easy it is.

i have 3 rooms completed.working after 8 hours on the disapearing steps routine. i KNOW what i want to do, but the keyboard is not precice enough to get the command across in time adn reliably. so extremely frustrating, not enough safe points. pro-tip you should regain life with time so that if you lose 2 lifes and are patient you can continue instead of doing it over and over and over again and still failing

Hands down one of the best browser games I've ever played. Comfortable, challenging, perfect game design, your work deserves lots of awards.

Started out annoyed at a Hard badge platformer being required for 2019 Quest, finished understanding why it was there. Terrific game. Good puzzles, hard but not frustratingly so.

This could really be a game for player who enjoy challenging platformers, and I know there is such people, but it is not for me.

I have played a lot of games here (too many, probably). This is the only one I have rated, and it was worth every star. Great puzzles, challenging, elegantly simplistic game play, so much fun.

Great game! Challenging without requiring pixel-perfection, checkpoints reasonably close after the toughest parts, and each type of platformer skill introduced, then levelled up, then given a suitable challenge. Very well crafted, thank you!
