1/5, horrible game, even worse controls. I understand how to follow directions, and how to play games. When I hold down to slide down a hill, the character just awkwardly slams into the ground, tumbling and losing speed...very annoying.

Please tell me that Chris Hurn will compose for Dillo Hills 2. His music is breathtaking - and I'm not just saying this because of the flawless transitions of the music based on the situation (for example, menu to actual game). It's truly amazing, in every way possible. Helps to perfect the amazing mood that the game itself sets up quite nicely.
I'm super, super happy with Chris' work on this game, and I'd love to work with him again on DH2. The transitions/loops were a ton of fun to program, and he made it very easy. We haven't made any official plans yet, but he's definitely the first person I'll be checking with.

ok guys nevermind to stomp the birds u have to do it, then you have to refresh and play again and then when you check u will have the 5 birds stomp badge for the apocalypse pack but you have to hurry because its over in 3 days from now (its new years in 4 hours from now) ok cya

i think somebody might have ripped off your game and made Race Penguin on apple. Maybe it's the other way around. Just saying.
I've never heard of Race Penguin, but there are lots of hill-sliding / surfing games. Wavespark, Tiny Wings, Dillo Hills, Dragon Fly, Moon Chaser. Wavespark was first.
You get more points from perfect landings, bird and mushroom bounces, crystals collected, and bonus time at the end of each level. Also, every point you earn is multiplied based on your happiness. 400k isn't easy, though!

Completely epic game, I just felt that there should've been some gems in the sky; also it would've been a nice touch if after purchasing all upgrades, your armadillo turned golden!
Yep! Some of the levels in the sequel have floating crystal asteroids that you can smash for bonus crystals. I don't have a good GIF/video handy, but I snagged a screenshot! http://i.imgur.com/NAfbn.jpg I love the golden armadillo idea. I'll have to see what I can do. ;D

I think the game needs an option to turn off background elements, like the clouds, for people with slower computers. ><
Absolutely. The sequel uses a much better engine, so it should perform better for everyone. Additionally, I've added a lot more graphics options so you can turn things down to just the barebones essentials if you're on a slow machine.

@tmdude9586 I hate it when people say these games are "ripoffs". If that's the case, then isn't Battlefield a ripoff of CoD? Isn't Tekken a ripoff of Street Fighter? No, they're just from the same genre.
Minecraft : Infiniminer, Diddy Kong Racing : Mario Kart, Angry Birds : Crush the Castle, Tiny Wings : Wavespark.
I know Dillo Hills is very similar to Tiny Wings and Wavespark, but I like to think we add our own flavor to it. ESPECIALLY with the sequel.
I've had a couple people report that problem, but I have been completely unable to reproduce it. I've tried on several different accounts with several different browsers, and it works every time for me (http://i.imgur.com/jILdN.jpg). Are you stomping all 5 birds in one playthrough, or over multiple games?

A refreshing momentum game, reminiscent of Yoshi's Island skiing levels. The hat challenges are ridiculously hard and specific, which dampens the incentive to replay, but it was a fun way to waste a couple hours.

Would be nice if this game actually saved your progress in between plays. Games like these were not meant to be played by sane people in one sitting. That is a serious liability for what would otherwise have been a cute way to kill time.

Is there some specific way you have to land? Seems to me like the only thing that DOESN'T make him go OUCH is when he lands on the left side of a slope, which is irritating as all hell when you're not maxed out on the various speed things, and kills the game extra fast. Also, there's a bug which crashes the next round if you're holding the right arrow key while clicking "Next Round". Have to restart via the pause button on the right to fix it. :(

Why is this website better than any other?.....Well no one really knows for sure.....But what i know is that it has the best games.....like this one with turtles,penguins,than and armadillo?

My only problem with this so far is that the tutorial menus that pop up mid flight, while I'm trying to get used to the controls, stopping the action, is very, very, annoying. Great game though.
