I played once identical game on android, but it was made much better. I'll give this... "game" one star only because negative stars are not possible. I think it's the worst crap I ever played on kongregate.

Anyone know the key to getting a high score? I can't tell if you get more points for a few big jumps and good time or more short jumps.
Points are awarded based on the number of perfect jumps and high jumps (but not for how long you stay up there), distance traveled, birds/mushrooms bounced on, and any bonus time remaining at the end of each zone. And each time you earn points, it's multiplied by your happiness ranking (1x to 5x). I've had the most luck by doing a sharp up-and-down zig zag, bouncing between a perfect landing and a "high jump" bonus as fast as I can without letting my happiness drop below 5x and without sacrificing too much bonus time.
Woops! This was patched recently, it only requires 10 jumps now. The store text hasn't been updated yet, but I'm holding off on any new updates until I figure out why people are losing their upgrades. EDIT: Fixed the upgrade loss bug. The store is now updated to reflect that only 10 jumps are required.

Are you supposed to lose all your upgrades when you get past level 10? It makes getting the hard badge difficult if you don't get it on your first try.
Nope, your upgrades should be permanent. I'll look into it.
Out of curiosity, did you change computers/browsers, or did this all happen during a single playthrough? Your upgrades are saved as SharedObjects (which is essentially a cookie for Flash), so they should be saved any time you come back to the same computer/browser. One of the things we've done for the sequel is make it so you can save your upgrades to an account that way they're always safe.
Either way, I'll look into this bug. EDIT: Thanks for the bug report, we found it and squashed it!
Yeah, one of the things I don't like about this game is the happiness system, especially the way it's affected by the "wind" on levels 9 and 10. Even with perfect gameplay, it's hard to outrun the wind without upgrades.
It also sucks that the "wind" isn't really visible or noticeable except for the fact that it slows you down a bunch.
We've removed the happiness system for the sequel, and there's no more stupid invisible wind. :D

Huh...you'd think that carrying all those diamonds would make him heavier, therefore making him slower. Then again, when it comes to making a game, who needs logic? :P

Constant zooming and unzooming is annoyng as hell. I's rather see small animal and a lot of landscape then details, which I can't pay attention to anyway. Also it makes timing of drops much harder than i has to be.
Completely agree. This is one of the things we've fixed for the sequel: the camera is a lot less nauseous / zoomy, the characters are a bit smaller in comparison to the terrain, and you have more time/vision to plan out your dives.

This is fan.freakin.tastic. It's like a launch game...but fresh. It does take a lot of time to....well time, the landings though. Besides that I love it. The artwork, the gameplay, the fact that it's not time dependent, if you land poorly you lose happiness, but it can be built back up. It also reminds me of Sonic. The other huge thing to me is all the control options. Mouse, arrows, WASD..that's very rare. Since my arrow keys are broken, just having WS is great, but all 3? Overall, an incredibly fun, unique game that deserves more than a 3.78. ..And yes, I also thought it was called dildo hills at first..got kinda excited.
So very glad you like it!
I'm always super frustrated when a game only has support for arrows, since I'm used to WASD and mouse controls. The sequel will actually allow you to bind any three keys you want (one for glide/jump, one for dive/run/swim, and one for your special item) on top of mouse controls. Flexibility is king!
Huge props to the guys I worked with for the art (changko), music (Chris Hurn) and voice work (Jason Koohi). The atmosphere of the game really does make it special. :D

It would be nice if hats had some upgrades in them. For example the speedy helmet for penguin would give a boost to damage reduction. Completing challenges would be more rewarding this way.

is anyone else getting a glitch in zone four that causes the animal to fly uncontrollably at max speed above the screen for half of the zone?
Very strange, I'll look into it. The sequel is using a much, much better engine that's a lot faster, smoother, prettier, and less buggy all around. I'll do my best to smash all the bugs. :D

Initially I was skeptical of yet another toss game involving helpless little animals, but after playing for a short time I was pleased with this game. While it is very similar to a few other popular toss games out there, it was nice to finally see one that relied more on skill than it did upgrades and luck. 4/5 for that feature alone. Not the most creative, but nonetheless it was cute and enjoyable.

If you look closely enough you can see that it is indeed a blatant rip off of tiny wings.
Fun, though. Just not very original

Good Sir, you just beat Tiny Wings at their own game. I take my hat off to you! Now pleaseohplease get this on Android!
Yup, I would love to get badges for this game. I've already done the footwork on my end, it's up to Kongregate at this point.
EDIT: Hey look, badges! :D

Aside from the "upgrades", it is Tiny Wings. Not a bad game overall, but not executed as well as what it attempts to copy.

This seems more or less a carbon copy of "Tiny wings" the popular Iphone game. But as far as i am aware this is the 1st flash game attempt at it. I like it
