While bomb brings up some valid points, his draft strategy is one of two that are considered optimal. While he advocates H-4-5-6, others (myself included) prefer 4-H-5-6. The decision which one you prefer boils down to whether you feel the need to build your core cards around the hero or select the hero based on the core cards. Both seem equally valid.

@Teslas A thinking strategy: think of pairs of cards that work well together as you open packs. Usury and Arson, Golem and Tavern Wench. Basically, just get whatever cards/combinations you think are fun to play with.

@TeslasMonster Also, the reason you get the same people is because both of you ended the match at the same time. If you both requeue at the same time, you're probably the only ones doing so. The winner WANTS to face the same person again, so you should leave/wait for a while and play a non-tourney game.

@TeslasMonster Always pick packs from left to right (starting with Hero). Make sure you think about how to afford to buy any cards you pick. It's important to have a form of income. Think about cards or heroes your deck might be weak against. If you have lots of allies, maybe Seduce or Tavern Wench would mess you up. And if you pick allies, make sure you can keep them alive.

I just fought the exact same person 3 times in a row in tournament. They destroyed me every time. there should be a way to avoid matching with the same people.

anybody have any tips for tournament? I've finally found my way in, and am having trouble figuring out which cards are worth a spot in my deck.

Vexilius III is so overpowered that it's not even funny. Seems like your brilliant design skills got kinda rusty after your long hiatus. I would suggest that you tone down his passive, cause he's ruining draft atm (which is the only interesting part of the game - at least for me).

Pay once and you can get the rarer packs; if you can buy the rarer packs you get epic cards more often and upgrade cards faster. Repeated purchases are unnecessary.

@DeS_tructive but i've pretty much got everything, besides since the r@pe i don't have access to my own money. Besdies if i haven't bought anything for this long i doubt i'd do it later, why not unloick it for people who got their combined level above 200 as a thanks for playing and keeping to play our game, if ppl haven't bought stuff now they aren't going to just cuz there's a paywall, that'll only annoy people

Aglondier I would not mind either to pay for the game, but I do mind to have to pay repeatedly for the game. That is the problem. This is where the game is now. Pay to play. Could I play a one time amount and then I would not have to pay again, then I wouldn not mind paying. But have to keep paying, week after week, month after month after years. That I do mind.

Krille, it's only 8$ for a full unlock + gems. With all the time you've spent playing their game, you could show a bit of gratefulness.

Really awesome game, (It is my favorite CCG game since a while now) but is it possible to make more levels for the campaign? I would really appreciate that. but although thanks for such an awesome game ;)

Can you open up all packs, for at least veteran players, i'm sitting on 314k and don't wanna buy 3140 oak packs, it takes forever, even if i log in and open 100 packs a day that's a full month of work.

Did you lower the level IV cards with the gold packs? I've opened 20 packs recently, and gotten literally zero level IV cards. It can't just be bad luck...

Venom: No one has ever been able to prove any ai cheats in WoO. I dare you to gather game logs (by typing LOG during the game) to prove it.

Game seems to fall prey to the terrible AI logic:
Cheat the RNG.
AI plays and draws the same card the same turn
AI decides to grab all non-coins from draw pile - 9 coins/9 allies, yet all 9 ally card gets slapped on table the same turn.

card_collector, there is a fullscreen button. its on the left side of the main screen between the leaderboard and the news

@PeterWR No, it'd be pay to play if you couldn't play as many games as you wanted without paying. There are a finite number of cards/upgrades to get, and it only takes about a year to get everything you would ever use. And it's not pay to win.

Mert5 No the point is to make the players use money to buy the higher packets than Oak packs, if they want to get other cards than commen/uncommen. So it is more or less official now, War of omens have become a "Pay to Play" game.

One hidden part of the 'new economy' is that they heavily changed the odds of getting higher rarities (at least in the oak pack). Now, you get an uncommon roughly 10% of the time, and a scarce less than 1%. I still couldn't get a rare yet. Maybe it's time to update the tables.

@yogomove, I'm not sure what you mean, but I'm guessing that you're saying new players may not like having higher leveled heroes because the amount would be daunting. They unlock heroes at the same rate, and leveling to 4 in order to get the first card unlock was very fast regardless, which is the only influence leveling has on the gameplay. It's true though, that leveling up early on may now not be as rewarding due to most of the levels being gained through things other than playing

@Lencrennis Miracle is honestly the most fun card in the entire game. If you prefer play to win instead of playing to have fun, take your negative attitude to some other game. You're probably one of those people who hates having items turned on in Super Smash Bros.

Peter, the game lowered the chances for higher rarity cards, but you'll still max those cards faster than before, even if you don't pay. The general speed of maxing commons, uncommons and probably scarces has been lowered, but you'll max rares pretty much twice as fast as before even if you buy oak packs. The fact that you only get commons doesn't really matter since you only need to get a card the first time and can then afterwards max it without even buying a pack.
