Really think the quest system needs a major overhaul, I hated it in the past and I hate it now. Getting quests for streaks, or for factions that I don't have good cards for aren't fun, they are frustrating. If we could at least do lower difficulties, I could at least tackle the quests on easier enemies, but I get almost all quests that are either grandmaster difficulty or multiplayer only. Please give us either a way to get rid of quests we know we can't complete, or to designate that we don't want to receive quests of "x" type

Feels pretty much like you're forced to buy Kreds or open shitty packs for your entire life. Yes I know there's tournaments, but it really doesn't compare. Given up after 3 days playing as I don't think it's worth $10.

This game features layered RNG and layered pay-to-win. It was a dinosaur when first created, and is worse now in a relative sense. Just die already.

This game is too addictive. Ill play for what feels like 10-15 mins and an hour has passed. Please make the game worse so I can do productive stuff.

@UndeadSpider I was thinking the same thing, for anyone still building up thier decks, that AI is nigh on impossible to beat. Seems a bit much that early in the game, and highly unfair.

Isn't the AI that starts with two Courtesans a bit OP? Maybe before they made 2 skulls a turn, but now you gotta find an answer *quick* or you're done.
Unfortunately there's only the 10 chapters of the first campaign so far, but we actually have two other campaigns (for heroes other than Listrata) being worked on at the moment.
Sure does, and its actually pretty good (or at least we think so)! But please let us know if you're having a technical issue of any kind (support@warofomens.com)
FYI, the game actually speeds up significantly when you go even one difficulty level higher than Neophyte. And Grandmaster might even be a little too fast. But there's a hidden hack to change game speed ('[' and ']' buttons)

There is currently an official thread requesting input for the upcoming card rebalance, here: https://www.reddit.com/r/warofomens/comments/986qff/official_rebalance_megathread/

Endazu, on the other hand, is very satisfactory to play. Veil Warden, Underworld Barge and Engraved Urn have given me very good and consistent results in Grandmaster play... for some reason Zalasair feels to trigger the mob coins more often than any other character. When I put down a Veil Warden, those Argoreth Flowers just seem to pile up behind it. And Gilded Scribes are pure murder whenever they hang around for a round or two.

Metris is pure cancer. It's pretty fun to play a Birondelle deck; it feels kind of like judo. Gretta, Valdorian, Theodox and Loquori on the other hand just plain suck the fun out of the game. I tend to just quit in Grandmaster when Metris pops up, unless I'm shooting for a Trifecta...

@collegestuff05: The asset hasn't loaded yet, since you haven't needed that particular image during your play session. If you wait for a moment, the card graphic shows up.

When I use the Miracle card, about 70% of the time, I get a blank card that only says War of Omens on it; I don't find out what it is until I play it. Hopefully this is a bug and not by design?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
has anyone else noticed that using Metriz on higher difficulties (as in other than the easiest) nearly always sets you against a Metris that is designed for Metris battles such that a Metris deck designed for other (non-Metris) opponents will be practically useless?

@theawesome2123 Mbomb wasn't the one with bad math, I was. I see where my math went wrong, but it doesn't truly matter on this scale. ~1.8x10^-15 is still ridiculously unlikely. Thanks for reminding me about that caveat of probability though, I do often overlook it or question myself about it.
As to the accusation of whining, I don't really care. I just wanted to make sure people weren't attacking what looked like criticism when it might be a valid concern.

But what i most hope for any game is the ability to play it for free and enjoy it... whiteout having to spend Value on it.
Maybe one day our dreams can come true... :)

Of all card games i ever played... for some reason i can't understand why i loved War of Omens so much. Was it it campaign? Was it the free design in which i could compete whit many? Or was the fact that the battles indeed requeired alot of strategy and where seemingly very cool in essence? I can't say... There where many factors i used to like this game, but i hope that one day we can play it as if it was yesterday. :)

@mbomb it's something like 10^-15, not 10^-30 lol. check out binomial distribution on wikipedia. If you're going to whine, at least whine accurately

I played this game for a long time, on and off, but after this recent economic update, I don't feel like playing. I was not sure why, but then I realized maybe it is because filling bars give more of a sense of progression then increasing numbers. After removing them the game started to feel repetitive.

ooh wow I just realised darkhemming said they had 8 guthrak's midden. I didn't actually see that... yeah y'all are right that does seem incredibly unlucky
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I feel there is some confusion as to how probability works here. If there are 8 Guthrak's Middens and 86 magic are spent that is 688 chances for a Guthrak's Midden to activate. If each of these instances has a 10% chance to work, about 69 magic would be expected back on average. For Guthrak's Midden to activate 16 times out of 688 is really low. The chance of that happening is equivalent to the chance of 672 Guthrak's Middens not activating, which is equal to 90%^672 or 0.0000000000000000000000000000018%
Either @darkhemming got ***really*** unlucky, or he has a point.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
For 8 Guthrak's Middens, the probability for none of them triggering for one resource is 43%, unless they're handled in some non-intuitive, obscure manner. Thus, 8 Middens would have an average return of 48 units. 16 is a bit low compared to that. And why the downvotes for @darkhemming's original comment? It's a valid concern.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@darkhemming you do realise 10% of 86 is 8.6 right? You actually got quite lucky with the amount of resources you got :P
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Guthrak's Midden does not work as described, or it's heavily nerfed against the AI. I just had 8 out on the field while a grandmaster Ysadora emptied 86 magic into me and only got 16 back.

Well I will hold my opinion regardless of what others think. Currently the meta is metris>>>zam endazu>> corruption>herding stone mogesh/babarus>>>everything else, and 2/3 people in multiplayer use metris and it has already been like this since 2014 and you can find numerous thread in forum that repeat this same notion. This shows how bad the situation is. Feel free to say anything if you have a better understanding in the meta (both multiplayer or grand-master). But don't bother if you do not do mp at all.

I've been waiting for the coming soon tutorials for years (kinda), and they hadn't even added endazu to the list last I checked
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
just went through the new tutorial to see how it was different and it is so much better- i honestly thought the old tutorials were one of the worst parts of the game, i can't wait until you add the coming soon parts
