"Multiplayer Version" button should warn you than it's a direct download to a .exe file... or take you to a web page that explain the situation. Not everyboy use windows anyway :-p

Thanks for fixing the adverts fix. The flickering 'custom pointer' issues is still there though with flash 53 onwards.

Almost the same game (from the same dev) without ads : http://www.kongregate.com/games/fighter106/spectromancer-gamers-pack

To get rid of the ads, the following works for me (on Chrome browser on Linux): Just right click and say Forward. Plus if you find this useful.

This was a great game, but these new ads you force people to click go to sketchy sites. Stick with the legit Kong ads otherwise I won't play this game any more.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
The recently-added ads are annoying, intrusive, and pretty much enough to make me stop playing this game. Are Kongregate's normal ads not enough?

When I played the first version of this game, I thought it was wonderful, but I was really confused by the story. Both of those things are more so with this one. I don't know whether I'm happy or sad about that.

Clicking on the opponent's rage of souls card in campaign battle 24 causes it to be cast immediately, then the opponents creatures attack. Exploit: I had 2 phoenix on the board, so clicking it repeatedly caused them to die and rebirth, costing the enemy 3 hp each time, causing me to win.

there are quite a lot of small problems with the game, in the tournaments when both player start with a special card your's doesn't attack but theirs does first turn kinda unfair, and with the vampire's justicar if you destroy the blocking creature with a spell his power doesn't activates and I don't really understand...there are other small things like that that just makes some moves unfair but otherwise great game thanks a lot

Keep coming back, continue to lose to Lord of Air because two Air Spirits either buy her enough time while I kill them with spells for her to build up her field, or I try burning them down with monsters only for their attacks to kill me.

Just beat Arena as Goblin Chief. Saboteurs are fantastic vs. AI because the AI really really hates them, so they tend to make blocking them 1st priority, and you can just Rescue Operation them away when you need. Goblin Champions (warriors?) are also great because they're practically impossible to block intentionally, AND can get fantastic attack late in the game- especially with orc leadership. Master Healer gives you the time you need to stall, and has a game-winning combo with Illusionist's Phantom Warriors if you can set it up- they're functionally invincible as long as he's up.

Bug: When using Hasten against a Steel Golem, it takes no damage. But Hasten causes an attack, it doesn't do the damage directly.

Man i came back to this game after 4 years , only to re-confirm that it's the best CCG game i've played. They should really open up the multiplayer for all users and update with new things. It really is a worthwhile game

@Alagamer: A few cards like Merfolk Overlord and Priestess of Moments (Chronomancer exclusive) allow cards to attack the turn they hit play. Merfolk is at least nice enough to only grant cards played next to him that bonus. :P

Wow, this is a really terrific game. Incredibly deep. There is so much strategy in so few cards, and SO MANY game modes!
Let's all post some of our favorite combos.
- Using Moonflux Arena mode to rush to Astral Guard is working for me right now.
- Titans Arena is fun (although it eventually gets pretty slow) and I liked using Spectral Elemental (I think that's what it's called) with Phoenix, lots of Meditation to build up Fire and Earth.
- Warrior Priest is fun with Vanguard mode.
- I started my campaign with Illusionist after I had Illusion Wall played against me in a duel and thought it was OP, but I hit a wall at the Vampire Lord. Anybody have any suggestions?

if u somehow manage to get two chrono engines out with the chronomancer class, u have pretty much won o.o
just skip two of your then three turns and then cast time stop. rinse and repeat.

Many times I have seen creatures summoned and they get to attack the turn they were summoned, but that isn't stated on the card. I think this is a bug as it has happened with several creatures. Titan and Forest Sprite are two I have seen do this. Others do it as well, though. Very frustrating.

It would be great if, once a card is unlocked and a custom deck was built, it could be used in all aspects of the game. Currently I need separate decks for each of the separate game functions. That's really tedious.

To show opponent's cards click on the circle between the two players. It basically flips the board: you see any cards they have played (as well as any revealed by abilities) and their cards are shown in the front row.

cheap tactic example: goblin berserker plus wall of reflection. pretty much wall of reflection plus anything that can deal your own side including aoe spells :P

Lame predictable A.I. scripting. It's like an 8th graders Pre-Algebra homework. Only some many outcomes. Easily defeated with a bit of math and luck that you get the right cards for specific campaign fights. Yawn. ZzZzZzZzZzZzZzZzZzZzZzZzZzZzZzZz

Quite a nice game. It's almost identical to Astral Tournament and Astral Masters, but I've been looking for a replacement for AT since it stopped working on my computer. I expect this game must have been made by the developer of AT or something.

'how to win everything' step 1) phoenix
step 2) mass fire
...literally that is all (all you want is to boost air and fire, maybe some healing incase you are losing)
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
It's clearly based on Astral Tournament/Astral Masters. Even the sound effect when summoning is the same--possibly more, since I've only just begun.
