You could add arrow from keyboard to point the direction to go. If the path is going down the player should press the down arrow to continue his way.

needs an indication if you are pressing too early or too late. hard to tell on the high tempo parts especially as the calibration isn't quite perfect

What is the feeling of deja vu? Frustration and music. Reminds me of Streamline. I'll struggle for a few hours, then revisit it every couple of years.

It'd be great if you could do the synchronisation thing again.
If you can, I don't know how, so you should make it more obvious.

I feel like you need to double the "tutorial" levels. 1 at the slow speed and 1 at tempo. The jump feels super difficult when going from the slow practice rounds straight into the song. Other than that think it frustratingly fun even if I may never unlock the 3rd song.

For those struggling with the last level, go practice along with a YouTube version to actually get the play the whole level

I usually get really mad if I lose right before the end in a game, but in this case I didn't. This is probably because I just really appreciate what you've done here. (5/5)

The music is nice and all, but it's absolutely infuriating when the beat conflicts with what I'm trying to do. I couldn't beat 2-x until I MUTED the game and 3-x was just memorizing the pattern, didn't feel like the beat had any part in it... Really fun at first though

Got to 90% of 3.X(1.4x) by taking ma keybord in my arms and using two fingers on neighbouring letters.
Very good job of proving that unity can be very precise in time !
5/5 for that, despite the average music.

Hint: You can use any button, not just the mouse. This makes it easier for me at least. Good game, but damned frustrating.

I don't care if I get arthritis, I am a musician and this game will be beaten! Also I'm pretty sure this will be my actual first hard badge ever on this site, and it is only fitting that a music badge be it.
Oh my god! I love this game! the last song is fantastic (at least the first 3/4 of it is). I will hear the end of it if it kills me. Also: do you have any music I can check out somewhere?
Glad you are liking it and thanks for your comments! I have another game which is also a one-button rhythm game called Rhythm Doctor (http://rhythmdr.com) which you might like. And I'd be really happy for feedback from you on that, as a musician!
I've got a Soundcloud account linked on that page with my Rhythm Doctor music, though I haven't got round to uploading the ones from this game yet. Thanks for the kind comments. :)

If you find that the balls have to jump forward a little in order to stay with the beat, hit "[" once or twice. backward, "]". the easiest way to tell is to watch the black trail: if there's a bit of a straight path going to the ball sitting on the tile, turn the offset down. if it goes past the center of the ball, turn it up. I hope my explanation was clear. Rate up if it was so everyone can see

It keeps happening to me that if I seem to miss the beat for the slightest fraction of a second, I fail... I know it might sound like I'm really bad at this and I'm whining, but maybe it has to do with my calibration?

My tip to make this easier: Use 2 fingers on different keys and use them on alternate beats. This allows you to be quicker while halving the work that one finger would have to do. I am currently up to speed 1.3x on the last level using this method :D

Not sure if my mouse is trashed from overuse or frustration, but I finally beat it. While the music was mostly enjoyable, it was a bit frustrating that near the end of 2-X and 3-X, the music completely drowned out the baseline of the more difficult portions, and had to do it based on visuals rather than sound.

Oddly enough, the dealbreaker for me is the 5-second countdown. It completely breaks any sense of flow by stopping me cold every time I screw up. And a game like this is going to be full of such screwups.

I simply love how the songs still sound beautiful and catchy each and every time you hear it, no matter how many times you lose. Mad respect to the game developer; this is easily one of the most creative games I have ever seen. 5/5

Yeah, the flashing colors are really bad, plus if there is needed two fast inputs it usually does not register the secon one

This game it's amazing!!! I think that if you could choose with level you want to repeat after you completed it would be good (sometimes you just want to practice with only one level in the world and you have to start all over) or maybe create a practice level with checkpoints and if you fail you restart from that checkpoint, but that's, in my opionion, not really necesary.
Something that i've been noticing it's that lately games are very easy, so having a game in which you need skills and to actualy try it's amazing.
Keep the good work, and i'm already waiting for a sequel!!!

Welp, I just cleared my data by trying to type the word 'accidentally' into chat. Maybe make it a little harder to clear data? Like something you have to actually click? Like every other game ever with a reset option?

I have no idea what this game wants me to do. Press what? With a mouse or keyboard? Is the beat when the red circle crosses the line on either side of the blue?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
How the heck do you play this game?? The calibration told me three times that I was "Inconsistent".... how can tapping in time to the beat on my touchpad be inconsistent?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
I played a bit of it and I really like the concept. However, I'm counting the beat and having the countdown from 5 almost consistantly screwing me up. Have the count down be for the beat, whether it is 2/4, 3/4, 6/8 or 9/8. Then I wouldn't be constantly messing myself up by "listening" to the wrong beat.

Many professional rhythm games have precise feedback which lets the player know when they are early or late, and by how much. Whether it's DDR's explicit great/excellent, or Rhythm Heaven's adorable art. Feedback would be nice, as I cannot tell how off-beat I am when I miss.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
You're supposed to match the beat with mouse clicks, which implies you're supposed to have either a super durable mouse or a whole bucket of them, because after an hour or so, mine started to make double clicks when I click just once.
