Great game. Probably the most difficult and time consuming Medium challenge I've done...the hard might as well be an impossible. So much has to break *just* right to beat those round limits.

Dude the challenge in Europe is so HARD!!! I can't stop my 'ally' from being destroyed or even myself from holding over 300 armies on all fronts BUT I SHALL ACCOMPLISH THIS TASK! Any way AMAZING game. And Next time make something like this navies and air raids to deplete the enemies troops then it would it be one of the best strategy games that has a very slight resemblence to risk.

Oh and I was trying to hold my own against him and he broke through into north america. I lost in one turn. As in one turn he took alaska. The very next turn all of my territory (I had all of north and south america) was his and I'd lost somehow.

Mission 3 is unbeatable. Single AI somehow controls 3/4ths of the entire world by the time I even run into it. Once I do all other AI are dead and it somehow has all that territory even though I have been expanding at breakneck speed.

To get gold in mission 1
Turn 1) Put all your armies into S. Europe attack Middle East.
Turn 2) Put some or all your armies in S. Europe again and attack Ukraine. Put the rest in Middle East and attack India.
Turn 3) Put all armies in India and attack Siam.
Turn 4) Put all armies in Siam and attack Indonesia.
Turn 5) Put all armies in Indonesia and attack Western Australia with half the armies and New Guinea with the other half.
Turn 6) Put all armies in either Western Australia or New Guinea and attack Eastern Australia.

I agree with professor jumbo. Took me a while to beat crazy but you can clearly see that the AI opponent closest to me got 11 army on round to vs my 5. I would be excited to see a version two where the AI moved smartly and didn't need as much cheating to play.

only one problem is that u cant attack from one side to the other like alaska to the most north-easternly part of russiabut u cant do it because it deselects the country your using to attack

Fun game, but seems unbalanced. Everybody thinks the AI is good, it isn't, it's just got some bonuses. For example 33 armies vs. 13 AI armies = 33 lost armies for 10 lost A.I. armies. 2 AI armies attacking 1 of yours will win 3/4 times, but the reverse is not true. Also I'm currently getting 35 armies per Turn while the Brown AI should be getting 38 but instead the Brown AI is getting 78 per turn. I'd say maybe 3.5/5 , too much AI cheese. But still pretty fun.

I didn't think it was possible to do the Europe challenge (and get the Hard badge) but with just a little luck and lot of careful manuvering I nailed it in 22 turns!! Great game - it actually has tactical elements unlike the actual Risk game it is based off.

The annoying thing is that i completed the europe challenge map before the achievements were added, and cant complete it again :/

Only two things about the game that I can gripe about: Hotkeys & View. M and P don't seem to work; It's also a long way for my ADD fingers to travel. I'd also really like a simple undo key for those times I click on the wrong territory and add one too many armies.
View:
The windows often pop up with 50% or more outside of my viewable area. While this is only annoying on most things since you have excellent default selections; it kills me on graphs and map reading though.
Awesome game, exactly what I've been searching for.

Just completed the insane level in 29 turns. This game is just epic. Well balanced, good AI, good learning curve. It kept me entertained for days. Yes, the last two level is somewhat hard, but when you play it enough, you just start to "feel", when and where the AI will attack, so you can concentrate on the weaker points of AI. Tip for crazy level: try to get bonuses and maintain the balance of the two alliance. Tip for insane level: Just survive. :) Speed kills, and roadblocks saves your life. Try to capture as much territory in the North as possible, and separate at least two opponents from you. Then crush the other three. Habet tempus, habet vitam.

@maximumcool: i can do level 1 in 6 turns repeatedly. the other levels may rely a slight bit on luck, but the first level is pure strategy (and there's really only one way to do it, i believe). *spoiler* you need to conquer europe on the 2nd turn

This is an excellent no-frills strategy game that plays like a much-improved version of Risk. The game is easy to understand and does an excellent job of guiding players through increasing levels of difficulty. If you're looking to spend no more than 30 minutes playing a game of global domination, you just might lose track of the hours playing one session after another.

I don't like that you're supposed to beat level 1 in 6 turns because you HAVE to get good luck to do it. It's not a matter of strategy you HAVE to get good rolls and your enemy probably has to get some bad rolls for you to win in only 6 turns and I don't think that's a good thing for a game that is supposed to be strategy. Now, beating it without losing more than a certain number of armies might have more strategy to it. So... I know they're not going to change an achievement now but wanted to provide a little feedback that it seems to involve more luck than skill.

anyone know how to beat the crazy setting on this thing? i've been trting for awhile and can't seem to find a strategy that works

The game is unbalanced. Why can the dominant AI deploy more armies per turn than the game rules seem to permit? Also, it's annoying how nation information boxes aren't bound to the screen.

So your telling me if me an d my teammate unknowingly attack the same place one gets there first so the other attacks their ally...therefore making us enemies. I was unaware of this until my teammate (well enemy now) came rampaging through England destroying me from behind. Fantastic...

Suggestion: All of the methods of attacking territories that wrap around to the other side of the map are kind of hacky. I propose that you add "mirror" territories on the edges of the map where the wrap-around connections are. It would just be a double of the territory on the other side of the map, that also shows the owner and the number of troops; this would be much easier to click on. This would also help on large maps that are hard to view zoomed out with keeping an eye on your borders.
