This game was very fun and addicting. I was sick and spent a good 2-2.5 hours playing this on this website then on the original site. very good game, pretty much took out all the boring dice rolling bullcrap out of risk.

Oh wow, I thought I was going to be able to win level 3 in 25 turns when I was attacking on what I thought was the 25th turn. I managed to take everything over only for the game to tell me it took me 26 moves...

Would it really kill you to add in a warning screen?
I went to save my game and hit level select instead and lost all my progress in the map :(

good game but from the 5 th level too hard.
I wanted to give 5 points, but the balance from the 5 th level is not good, almost impossible to win.
So this reason only 2 points.
Sorry.

Absolutely AMAZING. I loved playing Risk with my parents when I was a kid so this is pure nostalgia and the conversion is almost perfect. 5/5 I love you.

Flawed game. So if your army attacks a country, that country can attack yours without the armies meeting? Makes the higher levels impossible. Waste of time.

To get 6 turns victory in Level 1:
1) Deploy 5 armies in S. Europe
2) Order 3 armies attack Middle East
3) Order 2 armies attack Ukraine
4) Restart the game if any of the attack fails else skip this step
5) Deploy all armies in the frontline and attack towards to the enemy direction
6) Once reach Indonesia, split half of your armies to Western Australia and another half to New Guinea
7) Attack the Eastern Australia from both side
8) There you go, a Gold Star for Level 1. =)
Click "+" to pass this on. =)

For those having trouble with (hard) European challenge:
1. First turn attack both the 250 and 60 stacks out of England into France (retry if unsuccessful)
2. Expand every turn from there into Spain, Italy and eastern regions (spreading your attacks and stopping him from taking region bonuses is the key here)
3. Enemy will try to eliminate red, so use any airlift cards ASAP on your ally at important chokepoints, (you MUST keep him alive if you want to win quickly)
4. Should be able to complete in 20 turns or less, gl, don't blame the dice.

@Orange33: You need to take both the Ukraine and Middle East on your first turn and then continue through India to Siam before finally finishing the AI off in Australia. If you do not take both on your first turn restart and keep trying until you do.

omg omg omg omg omg omg over reaction to the fact that this great game gets badges it should have gotten those badges the moment it was released

Nothing like playing on insane and hitting that "Level Select" button on accident. Especially when its that one time, after about 50+ failed games, that I'm close to winning. Most game ending buttons like that have some type of confirm prompt... Despite the rage about that, very addicting, nice variation of risk with easy badges. 4.5/5

Finally a good risk game. It's easy to understand, and the AI are very clever. Cornering the enemy in Australia is awesome.

Also, sixspeed made a good point. I normally watch the whole turn sequence: maybe AI put some reinforcements in the region or transfered troops from adjacent areas. If you skip to the end, you don't get to see all this stuff.

@KazzarEkly: I see. Although my comment still relates to your situation (you really had tough break losing with those odds, but I that's not a usual norm)... Unlike normal Risk, WarLight has only 1 round per battle - so unless you destroy all enemy units, the rest of your invading force will return to the point of origin (you can say that they've been beaten back by defender).
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Kazzar, are you actually watching the battle play out, or are you skipping to the end? Good chance your enemy put some extra armies there that you weren't aware of.

There's only one thing I don't like in this game - it showed me how I suck in strategy games... Of course 5/5 ;) I can't stop playing - is it an addiction?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@Dibbler2 you misunderstood me; I'm not losing the battle, I'm launching an attack of 10 units against 1, after the battle, the defender still has one remaining, but I now have 5 in the attacking colony; why would 5 units remain in the attacking colony if I lost the battle?

the hard badge needs to be switched to an impossible badge. it took me about 7 play throughs just to get luck enough to beat the first level in 6 turns.

this game is very good . and ploki122 said what i wanted to say after i played this game : ''This game deserves the "Epic War" tag better than Epic War 5 actually...'' i can say this game is brilliant . number 3 on my list(i don't have actually one writed down but i can say the names of number 1 & 2 (i won't say them because i will advertise))

@barbarth: You need to play Airlift card and then select "120" reinforcement stack as though you're selecting a map region. Proceed to select transfer region and... presto! Although, you'll get only 119 units, because game considers reinforcement stack as a separate region (so you need to leave at least 1 unit on it). Moreover, you can transfer this reinforcements to your ally also (otherwise, enemy AI will eat him alive before the end of turn 8 or so).

The battle system is not frustrating. It's unlikely to lose when you have 3:1 army ratio (it happens sometimes); with 4:1 or more, it's practically impossible. The challenges are possible, but only if you play very aggressively - you need to expand constantly, in multiple directions.

the battle system is so frustrating... if a territory with 10 units attacks one with 1, how can the result be attack has 5 and defender has 1 remaining, while the territory does not change hands... why am I giving up the battle?
