I love some of the details like seeing more information about a country in wikipedia. I also like being able to click on a territory, seeing the neighbor countries, then send in my reinforcements from the exploded map. Great polish!

Just move those silly mute buttons to a side menu so they aren't blocking the top right of the map and you've got a 5/5! Heck, even with that it's still 5/5. Good work!

now that just was a weird european challenge...I started off well, game my reinforcements and the first airlift to my ally, who was able to gain a lot of ground. weirdly the enemy was almost pissed off at me and started attacking only me, all the time...imagine that, I had to send the 3rd and last airlift to Wales!!! however I thought I'd not give up, since I saw my ally gaining ground rapidly, and in the end he was in france helping me out...after that however he blocked me for the last 10 turns, I couldn't get to the enemy behind the red wall, so I simpoly airlifted my troops to the front and in the end basically my ally won it in 30 turns :D

In Iceland in the Europe map (the custom game one) there are several errors. "Norovestur", "Noroaustur" and "Suour" are supposed to be "Nordvestur", "Nordaustur" and "Sudur", as the letter ð transliterates to d, not o. This needs to be fixed.

@ jwilkes999: I got a gold star in a couple tries on level 3. I think starting position is important...Try starting from Antarctica or Australia. Lots of choke points, lots of expanding options.

I don't get why people vote down comments that are talking about the enemy having armies appear from no where. I can tell you for sure that this does happen sometimes, obviously there is a bug somewhere, why people vote this down is beyond me, in the ping idle game you all go on about the bugs and they get fixed, that's the point right?
Actually you can prove that it does not happen by looking at the game history when the game is over. Every time you thought the AI cheated you can see why you're wrong.

In the third stage, I missed one country to the far right of the screen since I windowed my browser (I was watching a tv show on the side). This lead to me missing to conquer it at the end of the game, so I needed an extra turn to do that. I finished in 26 turns, where 25 turns would have gotten me the gold medal. RAAAGGGEEE!

To me, definitely the best web game ever. I love strategic games, and this one even has an editor with various maps! An I like that you included the real states of Poland and Germany :) thank you !

@bluej216. after clicking the reinf. card, click on one of your 120 circles. THEN, click the next button. click where you want them to land, and then click next again, and finally select how many troops you want. most people forget to click the next button.

Awesome stuff, thank you. I loved playing this: well-implemented, smart, slick, and really builds on a classic board game in intelligent rather than gimmicky ways. If everything on Kong was this good I'd never get anything else done....

I HATE level 3!!! Gold star on 2 and Challenge first try. Figured out how to get 1 by myself. Even using "save-stating" technique people suggest I can't get gold on 3....

Sequel! More Maps! Sequel! possibly animations with the battles but overall I like the game but if you decide to add animations allow in the options menu to automatically skip them if you want to just incase it takes too long or your just having like 10 battles a turn

This game is great! addicted after first pla. huge huge bummer though: My games dont save? That makes it very annoying because games take a while to beat and when you have other places to go or do... Ya know? Besides that, amazing. 5/5

Warning: it adds 1 to the number of turns displayed - i.e. when it says "turn 24" it means "this is turn 25, you have already lost the badge". Really frustrating when getting the hard badge :(.

My suggestion for Europe Challenge: There are two things you want to do 1) spread south attempting to take France, Spain, and Portugal (in that order). Once you have those secured, take Italy from the bottom route. 2) While all of that is going on you are going to get Airlift cards - use those cards to send reinforcements TO YOUR AI PARTNER. The AI is a HUGE help in beating this map in 24 turns so you CANNOT let them get overrun. I also passed one of my original groups of 50 and about 3-4 turns of reinforcements to the AI through Northern Scotland to Western Norway.

In the players' statistics, there is even a question mark behind the values of the opponents, if there isn't any fog anymore. Why?

Anyone else have the issue where all of the sudden the CPU opponent takes a section without being able to reach it. I have had this happen several times where my borders are secure and then all of the sudden BAM...purple has 8 armies in the middle of a continent?!?!
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
@bjhamer sort of. total armies received = 5+area bonuses (for self, dont think it counts it if its jointly owned between a team)+cards played. Theres no benefit for part owning an area, an no benefit based on total number of territories (besides tactical and area based bonuses
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
i can't seem to find the information.... when you recieve armies at the beginning of a turn. Is there a base amount received according to number territories owned seperate to armies received for the areas owned?? In "risk" the boardgame this was the case. (it is 2 armies for every three controlled plus rewards for controlling areas as well)

It took 5 attempts and all my cunning, but I got the gold star on level 1! Put your 5 in S. Europe, send 4 to the Middle East, saving one in S. Europe for next turn when you bump them up to 4 and take the rest of Europe while the rest of your army heads to Australia. You also need some luck, if the enemy can't take one of the territories, they'll be behind without the army bonus.

Maybe I'm doing something terribly wrong but I get pwned every single time in level 3. I'm a pretty good Risk player, but this game is just insanely difficult?

@Derkassierer I couldn't figure out how to win in 6 turns taking while Ukraine on the 1st. I took it later - turn 2 or 3. I suppose you might be able to if you divide your forces turn 1 and get really lucky.

Why can my teammate steal my army on the Europe map? I got 148 troops next to him, in the next round that field belongs to him with all 148 troops. He didnt attacked me, i didnt gave orders, he just stole them. He did nothing with them, the enemy beat the shit out of me and lost the game. This situation happens all the time...

Imo the best place to start in 3 is India ro Myanmar. At turn 3 you have 9 income and you can quickly get whole Euroasia.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Actually pldl on crazy level Canada is the best place to start if you're lucky with your enemies positions. Canada gives you 7 armies and you can very quickly expand to both Greenland and from there easily defend against europe and then expand from USA and down to africa.

@joecool: ok, I disagree with those who set "-1" to your question, it's really hard for me to see that S.Europe connected with Middle East. (right bottom corner of the default territory).
//also, you could take Europe in the first turn too, its risky but possible.
