Found something very annoying! On the Europe map, if you attack a country, and then in the same round "after you", your ally attacks the same one. He "takes" your troops. Seems to happen every time =(
Issue your attack earlier in the turn, then his armies will transfer to you instead of yours to his. Or select "Attack only" and your armies won't move if the spot is taken by your ally first.

It may have taken 43 turns, but I've just defeated the entire 300 odd territories of the African map in custom games XD

You should add an option to turn your ally into an enemy after you defeat your original enemy, it would be much more fun.

very time consuming game.. I think so many territories is really unnecesary. it becomes extremely difficult to move troops around when you just finished getting a whole territory.. having to move your troops across 3-4 countries is already too far.. since by then it needs to go another 3-4 countries to meet up with your troops.
Just becomes a big hassle attacking like 10 territories per turn. moving them.. deploying etc. i probably spent like 5 minutes doing that on a single turn in some cases just to click through it in 10 seconds and spend 5 minutes planning my attacks again.

hubr1d17 the trick is to only take 1 of the areas from as many territories as possible that turn so they can't produce their armies. Also make some stronghold like at fx Iceland where you can defend multipile of your territories at only one spot so you won't have to spread your armies. The AI is also pretty predictable so you can get a reinforce were its gonna attack and get defence bonus so they lose more than you. Finally the place were you and you're enemies start is vital. Africa is the best place to start though you can also win if you start USA. Just not as quick as in Africa. If you start in Europe or Asia I just restart.

aside from the extreme difficulty this is a great game and i enjoy playing it (even though it makes me want to pull my hair out) 4.5/5

is there some kind of trick to beating the crazy lvl (level 5)? every time i seem to have the upper hand the AI pumps out 75 to 100 or more in a single turn. i had all of north and south america captured then suddenly there's 110 units landing in California. it took only 4 turns for the AI to capture all my territory. any tips u guys could give me on beating this level would be appreciated as i'm at my wits end.

I finished the europe challenge in 25 turns simply because I didn't notice the two islands at the bottom right side -_-

Fun game, but the European Vacation Badge takes hours to complete. The strategy I used was to transfer 50 armies to Norway via Scotland and airlift my first batch of 120 reinforcements to the Russians. This kept the Germans busy until I was able to build a strong foothold in central Europe.

The title sounded cool until I realized it was just another implementation of Risk. AI seemed poor as well compared to most implementations. The UI was very good though. Copying a game like Risk isn't exactly a bad thing though, so 4/5 stars for a good game that could use a little more AI work.

To get gold star in Europe you NEED your partner alive. Those 100 troops you have not in front, move north and pass to Norway. Also, give at least 2 airlift to your partner, in Scandinavia and Russia. If your partner can trouble the enemy to get the big Russia bonuses, you will have little resistance to get the west side of the map, other than a 110 army that starts in Sicily and comes to Southern France in turn 4. Turn 12 I had conquered France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Benelux, Switz., Austria, and most Germany. Thanks to ally, enemy had control just over West Central Russia, Poland, Romania and Turkey. Then grab a big army and march to North Russia, in case the ally fail to eliminate enemy there (but in my game he succeed). While smaller armies (like 5) take the enemy 1's, also move a medium army to Turkey, where the enemy should try a last move. Regroup the armies that conquered Spain in a big group, so you can Airlift them to where they are needed, just in case. Give it a + ;O)

Just found an instance of blatant computer cheating. Turn 1 of Crazy Challenge, I start right next to the peach player. Instead of restarting as I should, I put everything in, attack him. He attacks a territory with a few armies and wins, then I take over his home territory. Turn 2, I do the same thing, because I can kill him off this turn, right? Wrong. He reinforces his remaining territory with 18 armies out of nowhere. There's no possible way he has this many reinforcements on turn 2 with 1 territory, even with the use of a card. This explains why these later levels get so hard- we're not playing on an even field.
When the game is over, check history and you can see exactly how they got their armies. The AI plays by the same rules you do. See http://wiki.warlight.net/index.php/Cheaters

how do you manage the first level in 6 or less moves, no matter what i try i cant do it. with one move left i split my army in two to attack the last 2 places and the computer puts all its armies in one so my army doesnt win then it takes one more turn to win. i have tried putting most of my armies against one area and only a few in the other but then the computer puts all its units in the one where the least amount of mine are attacking.

How could it be:
Iocane Origins Badge ( easy ~ 5 points )
You acquired this badge on Dec. 13, 2011.
and Level 2 — locked.

Ok, the third mission is extremely difficult, but I found a good strategy after failing so many times. The strategy is not to conquer the whole world as fast as possible, it is to draw out the enemies troops, while you build up your own forces. (Get at least 5 troops in every territory so the enemies can't build up 20+ troops in 1 round, while you have at least 3 different territories and you are building up those 20+ troops) This will help you ALOT, because otherwise, the enemy will wipe your troops out like their nothing. --Thumbs up so people can see this tip--

3 quick questions:
Is the "INSANE"-map doable, or is it mathematicly impossible?
What's the gold star limit on the Crazy map? i did it in 36 and was hoping it was good enough:(
How do i make computers team up against me in custom map? Only get FFA-games that are easy :P
Insane is beatable, but it is indeed very difficult. You can see the star requirements by hovering over the star on the main menu, Crazy is 29. To create teams in custom games, right after picking the map there's a drop-down at the top where you can change it from No Teams to Manual Teams.

@skitszo Part 2: Your airlifts will all probably end up going directly to your ally, with the first 60 armies or so put into Sweden. Your ally is much more helpful if he can keep Norway/Sweden. Later on, try to donate your airlifts accurately in Russia to surprise and devastate the big enemy armies. In general, you have to be opportunistic on this map. If you have to lose 2 bonus armies to take away 5 from the enemy, do it. But make sure to keep inching horizontally across the map so that when you do get the final advantage, you can take everything over in as few turns as possible. (Those Cyprus islands are really far away, believe me.) If all goes well, you should be able to beat the challenge without ever having to control anything in Russia. Surely somebody will have a different strategy, but I've beaten it this way a few times in as few as 18 turns. Good luck!

@skitszo Part 1: Here's how I've started the times that I've beaten it. On the very first turn, don't attack. Instead, retreat your big armies evenly to Midlands and Wales. Transfer them back to SE and SW England on the second turn. This should eliminate the first two big enemy armies. For the first half dozen turns or so, put all of your new armies on N Scotland and transfer them to your ally once he is about to lose the Norway bonus (And probably for a few more turns after that.) With your two big armies, send one along the France/Germany/Switz border and the other south towards Spain (watch out for the big army!). Your goal is to cost the enemy some armies and generally cause chaos until you can see an advantage and start taking bonuses of your own. (Benelux) After the second turn, try not to take on any of his big armies directly; wait until he splits them up. Continued....

This is a great game, Its fun to play, and with the custom maps, you can easily adjust it to you standered difficulty. I was wondering if you could add another 'You' player to the custom teams, allowing you to play with a friend, or against yourself(testing different stratigies)
