@Zerdemx Europe is possible, but I am yet to do it in 24 moves. I found what worked for me was to allow that giant plague of about 300 enemy armies to just run through my land and I would send in armies behind it to clean up. I flanked the rest of Europe for the win. I think it may be possible to win faster by heading North ASAP however by building armies in Northern Scotland and then unleashing.

Great take on risk!! I would only like to add a couple of things though. A faster animation for battles (I know there is the skip button) and also a button to randomly place reinforcements on your borders. The second suggestion would work well when you are winning easily and just don't really care where the reinforcements go, just so long as they go on the borders.

Wasn't it a multiplayer game before kongregate ?
Anyway, one of the best strategy game finaly on kongregage deserves my first comment !

the turn requirement for europe is insane. It is completely luck based on how bad the enemy is at taking out your russian allies. If they go all out over there you have no chance to do it in time.

i just wish the later levels weren't so inaccessible. I still love the game despite not being able to win the crazy level.

Lets see. I control the enitre planet except for Australasia. I have 157 armies is Siam, they have a grand total of four. I think I know where my bets are going...

Think of VERY early WWII hitler used blitzkreig to conquer most of Europe I build as many as possible on my borders and just do an all out assault once i begin to lose steam i stop and reinforce heavily then i repeat works pretty well so far

Tips for all badges in this game:
1. Make an account at warlight.net
2. Spend at least a week playing against real people
3. Notice that the AI is stupid as hell
4. Beat it with your superior skill

I always conquer Ireland, Engalnd and Iceland, then maybe the Scandinavian countries, but i'm always so nervous to take over France, when i know i have plenty of troops to do so.

The youtube videos I saw also show the npc's placing FAR less armies on their turns than when I play. Do the npc's sometimes get so unlucky they fail? Whatever it is, this level cannot ultimately be a just a test of skill. It is VERY dependent on luck and restarting turns to see what the enemy will do. In the end it is nothing more than a frustrating gamble.

How is it that on the insane challenge with virtually all of the north world a single enemy on the team of 5 can place more armies than I can? It's mathematically impossible. Also consider the value of the cards. The extra armies card is virtually worthless. +6 armies will make so little difference the level would be about as impossible without it. They have armies of 60 by turn 10 so what the hell is +6 supposed to do? Also the abandon card is nice but it only gives the npc's a reason to build a massive 100+ army which they can somehow do in as little as two turns. Once that breaks through you're screwed anyway. Even with the best of luck and the best territories captured I cannot fool myself for a second thinking winning this level is possible.

Fun game, but it would be a little more interesting if the Hard Europe Challenge was so luck dependent. It's not fun starting over and over just waiting for a few things to break your way in the first couple rounds.

@cschr - well if they wanted to simulate Russia in WW2 they would have had to give them tonnes more troops but only have them about 1/2 as effective as German ones. Also they would have to simulate a Russian winter. Remember - Never get involved in a land war in Asia!!

Would have won the hard badge if not for my dumb 'ally.' Won in 25 turns instead of 24 due to failure of ally to capture a gimme territory.

For the Insane Challenge, I saw 50 pink attack 50 purple. And the result of it was the purple area transformed into 100....

Beaten levels 2,3, and 5 in 13/22/25 turns, without guides. (=<
For levels 3 and 5, the best places to start are Africa/Antarctica/North America. If you meet any AI's within the first 3 to 5 turns, you should probably restart. Best way of winning is holding Africa, then Antarctica, South America, and then North America; attacking/starting in Europe/Australia/Asia in the early stages generally is too hard to win.

The gold for mission 4 is nigh on impossible I have done the level with 4 or 5 turns to spare but the stupid red is in my way. I send him my armies and air-drop to strategic locations and it still gets it wrong.

Mester - retart untiul you're in Africa or the Americas. Focus on conquering stuff early on for bonuses, then try to take and hold important chokepoints.

feels like level 3 is impossible... if someone have a good tip for me to clear it plz send me a mail? the game is really well made and might be too hard for beginners to start with but hey challenges has allways trained beginners but i still have a very heavy trouble coming through level 3...

Bleh, I find the world map with the tons of countries very hard to play... after 23 turns only got two 'continents' and getting owned. Lolz. Need 25 turns for gold medal :-/

kfgrasshopper-on your first turn, move your big armies evenly to Midlands and Wales, then transfer them to Southeast and Southwest on your second turn. The enemy will attack and usually lose ALL of his first two big armies. Remember that to attack 50 armies, you need 100, but to defend against 50 you might only need 30. Try to create predictable paths for your enemy and then transfer armies into his path early in your turn. Sometimes you miss, but when you do it right, you save a LOT of armies.
