@ 111bbb: oh I see, you're talking about the insane challenge...yeah, that's actually the idea behind it, you are fighting a coalition of all AIs on your own and they only fight you. they are not supposed to attack each other. that's why you need perfection and have a good idea about when and where to play your abandon cards.

In mission 4 i couldn't help but to notice the error in geography you say that mid-finland is Oulu wich is only a city in Finland

@julez81 .I agree, but I have only problem with the last level.
I can beat the crazy level, not easy, but possible. If u get a good starting territory u can do it.
But the last level.THey attack me from 4 sides, its OK.
But they build up 50-60 armies ONLY against me,what means they dont attack each other in the south part os the map.
It looks they are allies, but not.Why better for them atack my big armies (40-50)?
I saw video on youtube, they are just camping on the south area, and sometimes attack each other. If u are lucly, and they atack each other on the south part,u have chance to win.
But if all of the enemies take the big armies to your borderline u are dead, thats all.
So if u are not lucky,u CANT win, doesnt matter how good you are.
Even if u are the best strategy player of the world, without a BIG luck u cant win the last level.
Thats why I said, the good strategy is not enough, which is not really fair in a REAL stratehy game.
But I like this game :D

Love the game, it's very addictive. For fun I've been playing level 3. What's odd & frustrating is that I was able to beat Level 3 several times initially, and now I keep getting beat like a red-headed step-child. AI owns me!
Really fun game. Great job.
Okay, now back to being thrashed by the AI like Charlie Sheen on a week long bender. Winning!

@ Boeserich: yeah, the enemy can do that just like you can, if you control enough bonus territories. the european challenge is tough, because you have to assess the situation after each turn, considering if you need airlifts or reinforcements yourself, or if it's better to give them to your ally. usually the enemy concentrates on either you or your ally. reinforce whoever is more under pressure.
yesterday I even won after being thrashed by the enemy who was already in great britain at the time of the 3rd airlift. however he didn't have reinforcements for attacking both me and my ally, so I airlifted 119 troops to Wales, pushing the enemy to northern france...meanwhile the ally took most of central europe and came to the rescue, thanks to me taking on the enemy the ally AI could actually win the challenge for me :)

@ 111bbb: no mate, the enemy plays by the same rules and they do attack each other. Sometimes when playing the crazy level it happens that the one enemy coalition completely eradicates the other coalition without me actually being involved. however in that case it's very hard to win, as they attack you from everywhere.
anyway, I'm still not good enough for the insame challenge, but I win crazy most of the times when I start from a spot I like (I prefer africa to start from, but canada works well too, although the game takes longer, since pushing back everyopponent from north america is quite tricky)...but you'll see, the more strategic you become via practiice, the easier it gets. the crazy challenge isn't so difficult after all...the insame level however almost requires perfection...I'm still too weak for it...but I already know how accomplished I will feel when I finally beat it :D

I like this game. Only thing bugging me is that an enemy can reinforce one of his territories, even when it is completely surrounded by your own territories which doesn't really make sense. So in Europe challenge the enemy can simply put 50 or so units into a tiny territory surrounded by my territories and ruin my stuff because of that.

HArd level means for me :plan every movement, and think tvice before u do anything.
But the last 2 level is unreal. The enemies never attack each other, but me.
Need a BIG BIG luck to win, which is a joke in a REAL strategy game.
If u r not extremly lucky IMPOSSIBLE to win.
I the last level after 14 rounds 4 enemy attack me 4 sides with 50-60 armies.
But they keep areas only 1 army, and dont attack each other, this is unreal.
Anyway, this is not a bad game,is u fix the luck faktor will be one of the best ones.

Does anyone else think it's strange that you only get 4 extra armies per turn for South America, despite it having 8 territories?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
When attacking places than an allied AI attacks in the same turn - The allied AI takes control of the army you sent.
Ruined my entire game due to the AI pissing away my units.
good game though :)

It's annoying how sometimes the dialog boxes pop up out of view of the screen. Also, on the Europe map it's hard to click on some of the countries at the very top right because of the sound buttons in the way. Other than some cosmetic/UI issues it's a great game.

even if u dont like the fact that the 'retarded difficulty' in a game is not equall to making a game hard, this game is still retarded. there are other games that increase the amount of armies on each territory based on your total amount of nations captured...now that's logical, cuz I've taken 40 countries, then all my structure gets bigger. being harrased every turn by a 5 boys army on my forgotten end near the arctic sea next to where the map can't be even scrolled isn't fun at all. finally, if this is all about beating the game in 1 turn and a half, then that's not for the taste of everyone, there are those of us who enjoy having large armies and taking our time ON PURPOSE, too bad we cannot enjoy having the enemy surrounded with 1 tiny nation because every time they're surrounded they keep moving like you don't exist.

It would be cool to have a naval landing card so you could threaten coastlines. It would need to give some sort of general warning to the target a turn ahead of time so it wouldn't be too powerful. But it would be fun. =)

Doesn't save for me, Is the saved game data stored as a browser cookie or in the place that flash stores its own stuff?

to beat first level in 6 turns put all armies on S.Europe and attack only middle east second turn attack both india and ukraine from middle east with a ratio of 2:1 (ex 9 total army would be 4 on ukraine/5 on india). Turn 3 get siam . Turn 4 indonesia. Turn 5 both New Guinea & W Aussie. Turn 6 E. Aussie. Note if you fail to capture restart,if ur lucky cpu wont capture indonesia before you capture siam (must capture ukraine if you failed to capture if this happens)

Level 3 gold medal involves starting in high army/territories ratio areas since you have 3 opponents and they're fairly spaced out, best start imo is the Caucasus since it takes some time for opponent to reach you and gives 6 army for 6 territories and is near west china 6 army for 7 territories and India 4 army for 4 territories, this allows you to expand really fast which will really help along the under 25 turn win

Can we PLEASE have an Impossible badge for completing the two challenges? There are so few games good enough to deserve one - would be lovely to reward the blood & sweat put into one that really is worth playing that much....

Game is unbalanced as crap, I find myself battling against 2 AI's constantly while the other one takes over 50% of the world, thus fking me up.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
didnt like. whenever i get almost ALL THE MAP with THOUSANDS OF MILLIONS OF ARMIES the cpu starts bothering me with tiny groups attacking and weakening my borders, for some reason they keep spawning and spawning even when the cpu has almost no territories and in the end i end up getting so bothered that i quit. they use armies of around 70 and I have 3 or 4 of those on each edge but it's not enough, I have control of 70% of the map but for some reason it's never enough :S plus even if it has 1 single territory left it keeps living by moving to nearby spots... so dumb...

In the insane challenge, I cannot attack from Anadyr N to Tasmania S, because of the speaker symbol, which is right above(?) the country Anadyr N, when I zoom out. And when I zoom in, I cannot click on Tasmania S because it isnt on the screen. Clicking on the red arrow near Anadyr N wont work.

Hint on Level1's gold medal: don't move as the tutorial told you so.Instead, on 1st turn, attack the Middle East. 2nd turn , take Ukraine(total rule over Europe) and India. 3rd turn, Siam. 4th turn, Indonesia. On 5th, attack New Guinea and Western Australia. And finally on 6th turn take Eastern Australia to complete your conquest.

@xexes. it is VERY possible. I have done it. The trick is to map out the shortest route possible. Hint: it is NOT the bee-line.

Okay i have beat the crazy challenge twice now without save/reload.
Here is what you need to defeat it:
1. If you are placed anywhere near Europe or Asia you are pretty much screwed so just restart until you start in a good position. I personally like Canada the best as a starting point.
2. You also need to be lucky with your enemies position. They can't be too near you in the start and the 2 allied groups need to fight each other. If you take on 2 enemies who are allied its hard or impossible to defeat them.
3. In the start just expand and take as many continents as you can and reach some key positions were its easy to defend.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
4. When you have gotten some safe continents and get a good supply of army every turn and you're fighting against a big enemy/enemies don't only focus on trying to take their continents but if you can also attack as many different continents as possible from the enemy. If you take just 1 territory from 2-3-4 of his continents he loses a lot of troop resources and won't be able to defend his continents.
5. Save/load function makes it easier to defeat crazy challenge. So if you're really frustrated just first defeat it with save/reload and then do it without "cheating" because you learn a lot from it.
I hoped this helped you! :)

The first mission - level 1 in 6 turns - is possible in 6 turns, don't comment these things before you tried everything, and specially don't think that your smarter than the badgemakers. - Anybody got some hints for the insane challenge?

I have wasted many hours on this game, and I don't regret it either, but I spent 5 hours on Rebuild 2, and WarLight to me was time better spent. Sometimes I feel like a real life army general planning out attacks based on success and unit numbers. This game makes me realize how much I like the turn-basted strategy better than real time, but that doesn't mean RTS' like Warcraft III and Starcraft are bad, I just like turn-based a little better. Also THREE YEARS!? Was most of that procrastination or map making?
