This game is amazing. I first played it and thought o great another crappy rip off of risk. 4 hours later and i still cant stop playing. My only recomendation is for a two player mode. 5/5 keep it up!

I must admit, this game far exceeded my expectations. I never would have imagined having a "fog of war" on a board-game style classic. The music is both fitting and enjoyable. Mouse play is smooth and creamy. The numbers aren't in Roman Numerals - much quicker to comprehend.
5/5 FizzerWL, well earned. Now, get cracking on Battle Monopoly! :P
I tried to add Fullscreen but Kongregate doesn't allow it. You can zoom your browser in to add more space, or play on WarLight.net which has fullscreen.

It was done very well, and I was maniacally shouting to my opponent, and my sister in the other room questioned my mental sanity. Bravo, an amazing game all around. I have no complaints, but I think it would be cool and an added challenge if you had to keep happiness in the countries you control, like either have enough armies there to prevent uprisings or give them more freedom, power etc. It would be very tricky, but I think it would be cool to have citizen uprisings, returning their country to neutral.

There have been many Risk esque games on Kongregate in the past. When I saw this one the homepage, I figured it would be like many of them, but for some reason decided it was worth a shot. Boy was I right. This has to be the most wonderfully crafted Real Time Simulation game of its kind on Kongregate, or anywhere for that matter. With most games, I won't play through the first level because it's either A.) Too difficult without practice or B.) Too long to be willing to sit through. This game was none of those.
You have to zoom out so that you can see both at the same time (zoom buttons are in the bottom right corner of the map). Or you can click one, then click More Info, then select the other from the list.

"you fell for one of the classic blunders! the most famous is never get into a land war in asia, but only slightly less well known is this, never go in against a Sicilian when DEATH
IS ON THE LINE. HAHAHAHAHAHAHa" *falls over dead*

Wow, this is really pretty different from risk. Fog of War, simultaneous turns, fixed the problem with bonuses just getting higher and higher. Awesome!

My only complaint is that There doesn't seem to be a way to control what country's computer players are in. other then that it's a great game!

Liked the game, so not complaining, but It should really be described less as "a simple but challenging strategy game where you try to conquer the world." and more like "a risk game"

I figured out the strategy on how to do it in 6 turns, yet the fact that 5 armies can't kill 2 and take Europe is quite frustrating. Let alone the AI putting down 7+ armies at once.

I set my army to attack an enemy. The enemy was conquered by my ally before I acted. My army was transferred to my ally. I think that there should be an exception to the "army moves where it's directed" rule when this situation comes up...
If you click Advanced for an attack, and select 'Attack Only' it will do that. That means to attack if it's an enemy, but do nothing if it's yourself or an ally.

hey there, great game. There's a little bug though. Sometimes, when I click on the country to add armies, the scroll bar doesn't appear so I can't reduce it so I have to restart the turn :| other than that, great game!

Know what would make this even more wonderful, than it already is? Single-comp multiplayer. Also? Fullscreen mode.
But, as far as bugs go: picking a country on one side of the map, then scrolling to the other side and picking a move there, is a total pain in the butt, and only works half of the time. Also, the window for combat has a tendancy to appear in the top-right corner, outside the viewable area, and I have to drag it back in, every time I start a fight.
It's a wonderful Risk-like. Fix a few things, and add in some old-school-style multiplayer, and fullscreen, and it'd be absurd, how good this is. Simple and, if you got it running smooth? It'd be perfect.
Warlight.net has multiplayer and fullscreen. For attacking across the map, zoom out using the buttons in the lower right so you can see both territories at once.

You know when i first saw this game i thought this is just gonna be another Risk game where the bots are basically gods... However you made this game actually really good and how you introduced fog of war made this game the best turn by turn strategy game I've played on this site. Good job and hopefully you are as happy with it as i am.

There are about 20 other good RISK games on kongregate. All they need is players. Personally I like world domination 2 the best

Third map is just... wow. For a while I thought I was doing good but suddenly a crazy blue horde from Africa engulfed everything. Completely outstanding game 5/5

God bless you good sir for bringing warlight to kongregate. I was getting tired of having to go to facebook to play it.

Great game but cleaning off the remaining opponents is really boring maybe you could make the AI realize when it has lost and surrender? i think that would improove it and make it less boring to clean of the last 30% when you know you've won allready

Level 4 (europe) can be a little hard. What you need is a distraction. The friendly AI can provide this if you're lucky (I had an enemy AI chasing the other with a 300 strong horde). If you're not so lucky then you can provide a distraction of your own while you build elsewhere. Set off a little horde and hopefully you'll get the enemy AI chasing you.

My game will not progress beyond the first level. I keep getting a message saying I should refresh my browser, which never fixes it. It seems no one else has this bug, but I thought I would let you know.
