I put all my troops at my borders, but then my enemies just skip right past them and kill the countries with only 1 troop behind them. =( I wish i could do that.

Lvl 5 seems like every AI is against me then I realized that this is not risk (re-configured my strategies) I finally won!

great game! The only problem i've just see is that to attack/transfer between alaska and kamchatka (russia) is kinda annoying. but excluding that, everything is just perfect!

I've only discovered one way to beat the "Europe" challenge. Aggressively expand eastwards and attempt to disrupt as many bonuses as you can as quickly as you can. Send either all three of the reinforcement pods to your ally (red) or send 2 and save the last for yourself. If you use the first two yourself, you WILL be overrun in no time. Your only chance is to make red distract your enemy while you attack from the west. Hope this helps!

Rember guys it's a multi front game just like risk don't try to power house you forces in one direction. Try to andvance on empty positions (grays) first teh nonce you find the enemy try to
route them from behind wher etheir defence's are low surround them with 3's and 4's and have
your main force of 10+ advance on their main position. thats how you beat the 3rd stage.

Man, ambush troops are super fun lol. Keep 3 troops on pinch points with a nice fat army behind it. Each time the enemy gets ready to attack move the defending troops onto the spot, then pull em back again. Works every time hahaha.

loved the Europe level maybe you ca make a "campaign" simulating a war or something! Even on a single country with cities and town instead of countries.

the game is cool and easy to pick up.
also Spain isn't that big (in lvl 3 Spain takes up the whole Iberia space including Portugal). might want to get that fixed.

Is it a bug, when my ally gains automatic control over my just airlifting-spawned 119 armies i accidentally send into a hostile region, which my ally then (something i couldnt see) captures IN THE SAME TURN as i was supposed to, only earlier than me?

This game is quite addictive. More difficult than Risk due to fog of war, takes a while to get the hang of. General playing tips: try to get in the corners and expand from there. Keep the frontlines short. Don't overextend... _except_ you need to launch surprise attacks that strike deep in enemy territory, disrupting their supply lines (read: break up bonus regions). This is especially true for the Europe maps. In free play, choose starting positions close to each other (Iceland/Scandiavia are ideal), secure Britan and Scandinavia quickly, and you can protect all your possessions with just 3 regions (2 in France and 1 in Germany), while expanding in the Northeast. Avoid the central countries until endgame, these tiny regions are a bitch to protect.

Wow. Just wow.
I've never seen a game with such a simple premise become so complicated, so quickly. Your risk-style gameplay combined with your use of a modern, accurate political map has brought to light the complexity of defending an empire. This could even become a learning tool in social studies, if one wished to prove a point.
I commend you, good sir.

Do the computer automatically spawn extra units than me? Because computers with one country randomly gain 50 units when I can at most get 30, and it beats me out.
The AI plays by the same rules you do. When the game is over, you can go back to that point in history and you'll be able to see the entire map. Then you can see exactly how they got their armies.

I love it. Only thing I'd like to see is more challenge maps like Europe was. Still a 5/5 for me. Wish I could go higher.

gwolf500.... get to learn the site before you post, they have to go throght the weekly / monthly challenges before games can get badges... stop ur + hungry posts plz... and how the heck do you defeat europe? they pull tripple digits in multiple countries out of nowhere...

THe game's an obvious adaptation of Risk but I have to say, I really would like to have some options like removing the fog of war from teh challenges. It is really hard when you don't know what your enemy is amassing. In the board game, you did.
You can play the levels without fog, but they'll be "unofficial" in that they won't count on the high scores and won't advance you to the next level. See http://wiki.warlight.net/index.php/Single-player_levels#Customizing

Very nice game well balanced and good AI. The Challenges are great, very hard and its good. It would be nice a campaign with increasing difficult levels on solo play.

I'd love to have the option to surrender. During the crazy and insane challenge it's quite easy to understand when you have lost and I'd rather surrender as soon as I find out then to wait untill I'm dead. I could of course just click "level select", but then I couldn't see statistics (and I need those to understand how well I'm doing wrt the computer). Also, I'd like to have the option to see the _first_ ten turns instead of the last ten. The scale gets messed up as soon as you consider all the turns and the first one are the most important ones.
There's a surrender button under Players. Not the most logical place, but at least it's there :) You can set Custom Range and type 1-10 to graph the first ten turns.

why are so many people complaining about lvl 3? it doesn't get hard till europe... finnally take a section then find tripple digits waiting for you at the border o.O

I love this game. Great job on adapting Risk, with all it's house rules, and making it better. I gotta say though, the challenge scenarios are really really hard. I've been trying to beat level 5 for days now. Can't do it!

Whats a good strategy for this game? I always seem to get gangbanged... so I was hoping that someone could post a good strategy up. Thanks guys

Stop complaining about it's semblance to Risk! What this man has done is digitalised the most awesome board game ever! Risk+internets=PWNAGE!

this game is absolutely epic man!! 5/5 easy, love it and u are an absolute legend for making this. its gonna occupy me for a long time :D

love the roman map. more random time period maps would be sick, that one that's like a board game isn't the best though lol.

This game actually its a copy of a board game named WAR... i dont know if it exists on other countries, but in brazil its a pretty popular game!
You have to zoom out so that you can see both at the same time (zoom buttons are in the bottom right corner of the map). Or you can click one, then click More Info, then select the other from the list.

When I scroll my screen to send troops from Kamchatka to Alaska, the game deselects Kamchatka, please fix that ;)
Other than that, a pretty nice game, congratulations

Nice game, insane is insanely hard though... feels bugged when the opposing team puts down hundreds of units each turn while you have half the map... anyone beat it yet without cheating? Crazy is challenging enough. My thoughts... allow players to see every player's stats. Nice enough as a strategic hint, but won't destabilize the battles themselves. Also a nice way for us to see the AIs aren't actually cheating :P
When the game is over, you can go back in history and see behind the fog to prove they weren't cheating. On WarLight.net, you can customize the level to play without fog in an unofficial game (wins won't let you advance to the next level, but it's good practice)
