I think you need to make it so adding troops optional. I had to add 103 troops just to destroy one country of one army.

Would be great to see a sequel/update for this game with some improvements, more levels etc. I'd particularly like to see a supply-line effect, where you can't reenforce a country with the armies from holding a continent unless you have a direct line of held territory to that country. Also some sort of AI ally for some levels would be awesome :) (been ages since I last played, thought I'd give you some feedback from my memory)

Didgeman, I had the same problem but solved it by not using the save tab in the game, if u really want 2 save a game, exit the current game by the level select tab, then hit the back tab, then hit the save games option, save and then resume the game. works every time, though it does take those few extra clicks.

OK, there is a very serious issue here with the saved games. I have been playing this only to see the games I have "saved" vanish in thin air.

Yes! u can get the Europe challenge gold star; I just did in 21 turns. a key insight is: don't b afraid 2 attack your ally; definitely take Germany whoever has it, ally should b fighting in Scandinavia and Russia. move steadily east; its slow going thru all those damn little states in central Europe, but once u hit the steppes u can move fast and far. obviously, don't let him get behind u. I found using large army groups surrounded by basically scouts worked well, which also helps when u need an emergency airlift. the first 7 turns r critical.

Good game, extremely frustrating user interface. In the European Challenge map, "Yamalo-Nenets" in Russia was almost impossible to click due to the music buttons, and at first I assumed it wasn't supposed to be captured.
Deploying troops and issuing orders should be more seamless; it feels very clunky to have a numbered list to walk through ("Oh, I'm on #1, I wanted to issue orders, not deploy troops to this region. Let me change it back..."). The wrap-around connections are very difficult to work with (e.g., Russia to Alaska). Finally, the dialog boxes kept popping up all over the place, often partially out of view (and in one case, completely out of view except for a sliver). That drove me up a wall, and led to me closing the game a few times in anger.
However, the gameplay style is a blast, and has kept me occupied for hours. There is a lot of potential here.
4/5 and added to my favorites.

For the past half hour I've been in a standoff with one of the A.Is in both Europe and Africa. Nothing more fun than slowly building up massive armies at bottlenecks.

If you would lower the number of territories it would be much more enjoyable to play. It would be more fast paced and ordinary people could play it.
I just played 3 times the 3 third level and lost.
The first 2 times were learning, the third time was better play but I forgot to weaken the AI so it eventually became too strong though I had Europe and Asia conquered. What's the satisfation?
Anyways great game, reminds me of the board game "RISK". Very enjoyable at the beginning. I would definitely play it again. 4/5

somehow i cannot select the arrow to attack from alaska to kamchatka and vice versa in the first two levels. But I either case it is not much of an issue :)

and btw, u don't have to take Ukraine on the first turn. I didn't. it is all about not losing once u take the mid-east.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
ty, idanthyrsus! I see the key was taking the mid-east on the first turn and then never losing. the game maker mis-directed when saying the first thing to do was take Ukraine.

It is difficult, but it is interesting. After that, music is the coolest! English is poor in Japanese me. I'm sorry when it was strange sentence.

@edradour - T1, split between NEurope and SEurope, take MEast and Ukraine. If you don't, restart. T2, put all your units on MEast, attack India. T3, put all your units on India, attack Siam. T4, put all your units on Siam, attack Indonesia. T5, put all your units on Indonesia, split to take NGuinea and WAustralia. T6, split your units, attack EAustralia with everyone. You're welcome.

Excellent game!
4 out of 5
I'll make that 5 if you'll add fast forward button to history.
Would be awesome to see my empire grow(faster).

Love the game, but please make correcting the bug in Arrenius a priority, as Mandrom is constantly unkillable in non pvp. THX and keep up the good work!

I actually made lv 1 in 6 turns earnng me a goldstar, what you do is attack middle east instead of Ukranie and then both India and Ukranie. It demand that you win evey turn but possible.

Does anybody else here entertain themselves sometimes by watching the AI fight themselves? I do. The only bad part is that right now, I'm on round 600 and still counting...

Wow! I love it, the much larger and more complex map is awesome! A big improvement on the board game. It would be even better if there was a multiplayer option!

I strategy I found useful is to make a huge army just standing on one side, then your enemies wont attack you there and your war will be one sided, works well on FFA.

Europe isn't necessarily hard, it just requires a lot of risk. My strategy was to just kamikaze my way as far into Europe as I could with my beginning armies, breaking up the AI's reinforcement bonuses. I got pretty lucky in this early part of the game and didn't lose many territories back to the AI, which gave me time to bring in the 3 reinforcing armies and consolidate a hold on areas closer to England. I then held a line in Italy and Germany while sweeping down through spain and heading across the bottom of the map to Greece, then had the two separate fronts meet in eastern europe. Beat it one or two turns over the limit for the gold star that way

i was just taking territories on level 3 they were weak when the fog lifted i saw a territory with 329 i got so mad and i lost

Tip to those having troubles. Try to mass a good amount at choke points so you have a little flexibility to react to an attack.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
It's a good game, though there's nothing more frustrating than when you've been carefully consolidating your power, only for some other army to appear out of the fog and spam 30 reinforcements without a care.
