I would like to understand the math behind attacks casualties, how are they calculated? Looks to me like the defense advantage is not big as the old board game (which is fine)

At the beginning it was only Australia. I wanted my badge. Australia was my opponent. As he spread I devoured him, but as I did he grew away more and more. Eventually whole continents were swallowed in the name of defeating my opponent. Australia was my opponent. But I have defeated the world.

Nice concept, played the game before and enjoyed it but I just find the fog of war in this context adds too much luck- you can suddenly find that the enemy you've been pushing back for 5 turns has dropped 40 units on top of you. I know that's part of gaming, but in a game like this it feels contradictory to the strategic style.

You copied a great strategy game and made it less efficient, less attractive and more boring to play! That is time well spent!

reminds me of Risk, really because it is. not hard, fortunately, even if i don't appreciate the randomness. personally though, i prefer Axis & Allies--actually World at War--any day. just literally have to have the day (8 hrs sleep + 16 hrs awake) and some friends to play.

"Conquer Australia" - Apparently not as a territory but as a foreign power, because as long as the troops in Alaska survived I didn't get win my badge.

this game is basically risk, the game for world domination. while i havent beaten the first level, i think i have a general knowledge of the mechanics. i replayed the first online risk game i found to compare and contrast the features. i have to say that this game has a huge improvement over classic risk; that being the removal of the dice roll combat. in this game, basic math is used to see who conquers who, a great feature in this strategy game because it makes the player think if they can properly attack or defend certain areas. in original risk, a dice roll was used to determine who won, leaving no sense of skill or control in the user's hands. this rng in "strategy" games completely removes any thought of strategy because it means that any person or ai, regardless of skill, could win because they got lucky. removal of the rng mechanic in this risk variant is a very good decision in my opinion.

was fun right up until the enemies always can gain more "continents" (comparing to RISK) than you can before you even find the enemies... and they all gang up n you plopping down 30 armies each when you are only getting 12... What did you do Give the AI full continents to start when I have to start with one territory?

Some tips for attacking: if you click stats button in the attack menu, you can enter the amount of troops you wan to use and it will give you your odds of success. More advice, for the "Risky Business" badge, take the Middle East space, then take Ukraine while also taking taking India.
Edit: Click "Analyze", not "Stats"

I accidentally clicked on "skip tutorial" before I was finished learning the game, and now I can't do ANYTHING. Further, I can't see a way to turn the tutorial back on. As this is the game of the day for the badge tomorrow, this was a really bad choice for it since without knowing what you're doing or HOW to do it, the game is totally unplayable! Plus, this looks like a stolen version of the game Risk! NOT COOL!

Whether or not you win a territory is completely random and I don't personally find that to be fun, especially when one of the badges is based on how many turns you take to win. I can't even get the gold for the first level because winning in six turns assumes perfect luck that just refuses to happen. Right off the bat, you need to get lucky and be able to get Ukraine and India on the second turn. If you don't, you're done, you can't get the gold. If that works, I attack Indonesia with well over twice as many armies as the enemy has and over and over again I lose.

There's nothing like having a total of 64 armies in Indonesia in order to completely destroy Australia and its territories all in one blow.

When the game says "The game is advancing. Please wait..." it takes forever to resume my progress. I always need to start over. It really brings the game down for me. Please do something!

@rodice The enemies are moving 2 territories a turn because they are strategically dividing their troops on 2 territories instead of dumping them all into 1. You also have the choice to divide up your troops, and if you or the enemy is near enough territories, you could divide the troops into more than 1 or 2 territories.

The game is really nice and enjoyable, however there is an issue in the game design. The first two thirds of the game are really fun and exciting, however at a certain point the winner is clear, but you kind of have to go through the motions until you win. Essentially the game is over way before it ends.

to get level one in 6 you just have to keep restarting untill you get both the Ukraine and middle east in your first turn.

Mante, don't try to capture Europe the first turn. Make a bee line for australia. Some turn when you have a few extra armies complete Europe by grabbing russia. You'll need a bit of random number generator luck to complete this one but it's possible!
