By the way, great game, I'm totally hooked to it, I even made an account on the web to play online, if membership wasn't so "expensive" I would pay for it (expensive considering you can find games like Metro 2033 for 2.50$), I think I've found the way to get gold stars on the 4 first maps. Waiting for badges now it got the API.

Did all my data just got deleted? D: , I don't remember deleting my cookies lately, I was trying hard on crazy and now got to start over again...

Am I the only one who actually was bored enough to beat level 1, except 3 places in "Australia" and managed to amass an army of 1002 men?
You have to zoom out so that you can see both at the same time (zoom buttons are in the bottom right corner of the map). Or you can click one, then click More Info, then select the other from the list.

Netherlands is bigger then belgium, why does belgium have 2lands while the netherlands have 1?
1/5!!! well ok then... 5/5 for the game itself

FINALLY, i beat the CRAZY CHALLENGE!!!! The best strategy is to make use of the competition between the two teams. You constantly have to try to keep the strenght of the two teams equal, so they continue killing each other and you can steadily build your army. When you meet two competing armys, try to retreat to a "save" place and build your army. My favorite start is in Africa, then building via the south pole to south-america and australia. Of course you'll need luck. When this won't help, you can use the savegame to go a step back when you know what the enemy is planning. grz

it seems that the bonus for south america is underpowered for the number of territory's you have to conquer to get it

It's Risk people. Some slight modifications such as Fog, but it's Risk. Even the extra reinforcements from controlling continents are the same.

If anything, you need to add the airlift card to level 5, you need troops to move fast and get them to were they need to go, 5 to 1 doesnt exactly give you room to move.

I think high scores are bugged. Too many people finishing the hardest levels with less then 20 turns? Kind impossible. And first map can't be finished in 6 turns too. Exploits?

Level 1: So thats how you play this......... Level 2: Wow this game is fun! Level 3: Aaah a bit of a challenge level 4: Woah, getting tough here Level 5: WTF!? level 5 again: Ok lets get this right Level 5 again: Grrr lets win! Level 5 again: F*** this game!

For Crazy, it helps to have a secure starting position. I beat it from Africa, moving outwards to South Am and Antarctica, Middle East, etc.

The AI needs to fortify itself better. I've commonly sent stuff to the borders of their territories which only have one person.

i love this game so much and i just love how its so simple but well made great game fizzerWL and i would love to see a sequel to this and other games from you ;).

I want to move my troops from Kamchatka over to Alaska via the sea passage off the right hand side of the map, but I can't. It won't let me go far right enough to click the arrow.
You have to zoom out so that you can see both at the same time (zoom buttons are in the bottom right corner of the map). Or you can click one, then click More Info, then select the other from the list.

i have a really awesome idea! What about adding a club or bar or something where you have a chance to win the heart of a guy/girl by meeting their preferences. Then they move in with you and show up in your house and offer some sort of bonus.

Any way to add a full screen mode or something? The windows are way too big and take up most of the screen when opened.
I tried to add fullscreen but Kongregate doesn't allow it. You can zoom your browser in to add more space, or play on WarLight.net which allows fullscreen.

Insane cheats. What is supposed to be north vs. south quickly becomes stuck in the middle because the enemy appears from nowhere in the north with massive forces comparatively. Either that, or it is incredibly good at keeping away from view each of the three times I've started the level, the last of which I intentionally sought out the locations of the northern enemies.
If you surrender and use the history button you can see exactly what the AIs did and prove that they're not cheating - each AI plays by the same rules as you do. It is a very difficult level though :)

has anyone managed to beat the crazy challenge? It's been kicking my ass for hours, seems like both teams surround and kill me before attacking each other lol

okay, KONG, i understand you need to have ads to make $ because lord knows losers like me arent helping like we should be, so im not going to whine about that. I will whine about the VOLUME of the commercials. Long story short, i have to go change my pants now because of some asshole who is revolutionizing driving (or so im told) just wondering if the volume can be a debatable topic... and Warlight is a f*****g great game.

Damn, just start dominating then hit the level select button. Maybe some kind of warning i pressed that without just ending the game instantly? :(
Still a good game anyway, 5/5

When I started playing the first level, I thought, "oh great, another Risk clone. Why is this getting such a good rating?" Well sir, I must eat my words with extra ketchup. This is a superb and extremely challenging strategy game. I have two mostly cosmetic suggestions. 1: with teams, put a little flag icon next to or on each territory to show which team the player is on. If it is too cluttered to put it on every space, at least have it available on mouse over. 2: Some of the player colors are difficult to differentiate. Perhaps have stripes or something for variant coloring?
Anyway, thanks for making this game.

I had to stop playing, cause I could so easily see this game wasting my life away... Orange army... why wont you friggin die!

amazing, just simply......AMAZING. well done i'm probably going to be playing this game for years to come. BTW if they get better evrytime you make them then #2(if you make one) will be truely and utterly EPIC Thank you for the game man

Am I missing something or is this the board game Risk, plain and simple? Same exact map, same principle, same mechanics. You've managed to code this, so you obviously have enough talent to make your own game, why do you steal other people's intellectual property?

111 army per turn. Are these people manufactured or what? Just gotta love how there is a 300 giant army in antarctica hiped up for a war with all their weapons frozen in ice.

@elu8: a bit of luck helps of course but the other key thing is to disrupt the AI from gaining bonuses. Sometimes you just need to send out that 3 armies to take a territory you know you will probably lose the next turn. Just to give the AI something more attractive to hit than the piece of land you want to keep.

@dirktheone: I loved playing EpicWar 3 and 4.. but 5 was just meh. One mark of a good game is whether it holds your attention and keep you coming back. I tried EW5, didn't really got me going. Then Warlight came out, I haven't touched EW5 since.

It seems like in the harder challenges all the AI are automatically drawn to killing you, and don't give you time at all to build up.
Actually they treat you the same as other AIs. The code doesn't even look at the IsHuman flag. They also prefer to expand over fighting. It's just that there are a lot more AIs than you, so you almost always get in their way :)
