Don't just expand recklessly, and make sure you have a powerful foothold in all of the continents. Have a basic plan, but be flexible.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
is there a back button? like I sent too many do I have to restart the turn to get to reselect my army? if so I haven't found it yet.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
it would be easier if i knew which moves would go first. how is the troop movement order figured out, is it distance?, terrain?, order?, this would give a good strategy if it was available

i think the fog isnt a good idea in this type of games. if you have no idea what's going on the map, you cant make a plan.

I seriouslu doubt that the "Crazy" level is doable with out nearly having perfect luck. It's not difficult because it's hard, rather it's hard becuase it's designed to ensure defeat of the player. I'm nearly tempted to take back on of the point's I've restored. 6 against 1, where 2 groups of 3 are cooperating and it also seems both groups ignore each other with the ability to sniff the play out within 3-5 turns of start? really not even doable, one has no hope of building a defence, balance for this level needs work.
All of the levels are beatable without luck, but the game is quite challenging and can take a lot of practice before it's clear how to do it. Keep working at it - you'll get it!

One thing, can you make the pop-ups appear in the middle, not halfway off the screen so I don't have to drag the goddamn things every 2 seconds? But great otherwise :)
The attack dialog pops up so that your mouse cursor is over the 'okay' button. This allows for double-clicking when you just want to attack with all armies, which is what you want most of the time. When you need to adjust something, you can drag it back onto the map.

Perhaps I have overlooked it, but is there a way to dump all of your units into one country without clicking for all of them? 30+ clicks is fun and all...but yeah lol.
The deployment slider pops up after you deploy the first, then you can just drag it over or type a number. If it's not coming up, you may have accidentally turned it off in the settings - go turn it back on.

I've always wanted to play risk, but it seemed to complicated. you sir, have provided me with an amazing alternative that is even better. congrats. 5/5

yayyy just beat crazy mode in 24 turns.. not the top but still proud. Cant beat Europe yet though! agh! But heres a couple tips if anyone cares! I attacked at 5. Unite an area fast! Then use your 5's to either unite your own or stop them from uniting an area. When around an enemy make sure each adjacent zone has at least 2, with the attacking zone of yours having 5 +1 for each of thier troops. Dont lose that many that way, and often they sent 2 troops to your area and get defeated with no loss

How the heck are you supposed to beat crazy? They all seem to know you have no allies, so they gang bang you, and they take your territories hardly losing any pieces. Even if you play well one of them played better, I managed to get all the Americas once only to find that mean while Orange had taken pretty much everything else and was producing 3 times as many troops.
It is a difficult challenge! Try starting in the smallest bonus you can, as you want to get your first bonus as fast as possible. After that just expand quickly, and try not to let any one team get too big (attack whichever you think is strongest)

Great game. Its a strategy game that actually forces the player to think and play tactically. Its the first game where Ive had to use a tactical retreat to gather my forces. I was forced to choose which territories to sacrifice, as trying to spread my forces too thin and save them all would result in losing all of them. I couldn't simply try to smash my way through my enemy with brute force. Maps 3-5 have required me multiple attempts to beat, and I have yet to conquer 5. This is a superb game, and I hope to see more like it. The only complaint I have, is that spawn location, and more importantly, spawn location relative to A.I. seems to have far too much bearing on how possible it is to win. Im speaking specifically about map 5. Every time Ive done well I did so because I spawned far from the AI and was able to build up forces while they beat the snot out of each other. Despite my frustration and numerous attempts I'm still having fun. This game hands down get's a rare 5/5 from me.

Game mechanics and rules are not protected by copyrights, only the characters, text and stories. You can legally make spinoffs off of any game. The ethics of doing it are up to debate, but its not illegal.

This is a well designed game. I think this may be the most realistic (strategywise) war game I've ever seen. Personally, I found the Europe map impossible, but the setup is really well done. One suggestion: while the way you used the fog idea was great, there should be a way to observe your enemy (a card that lifts the fog in an area/the map for a bit/indefinitely).

I can't seem to find a way to start over on a level, short of refreshing the browser. If I go out to the level select or main screen, and reselect the level, it just picks up where I was.

@seadrono
Copyright does -not- cover ideas. That is what patents do. Considering how many risk alternatives they are, i'd assume the don't have a patent on this type of gameplay.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
my suggestion: split is up into 2 turns: deploy/attack and reinforce. constantly i cant reinforce properly because the enemies do something illogical and it just makes the game slow.

Yes, finally beat the Europe challenge (with gold!) on the 2nd try. Thank god the ally was smart-ish enough to run to the Balkans/Ukraine and stall for time; at one point he was down to a single territory before I managed to save him. And yes, its worth trying to save your ally -- if he manages to conquer even a single territory a turn, you get another card piece.

Does the computer see past the fog or somthing? 'cause im flying blind but they seem to know EXACTLY where to go. Either way this is an awesome game. 5/5 no problem.

@Yinroux11, the AI isn't unfair, it's just clearly more intelligent than you. Just because you can't go stomping around the map doesn't mean it's not fun. I spent the last twenty turns of a game running with my 200 armies from nearly 700 of my opponent's, and it was hilarious when they finally blockaded me and demolished me. Don't take losing so personally. Just enjoy the game.

How is it physically possible to beat the Europe level? You and your ally are both outnumbered and have less industry. The math suggests imminent failure as soon as you start the game.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Level 3 is absolutely impossible. I'm sorry, but if I game can't be won, then it's not a fun game. If it's not a fun game, then it's not a good game. I enjoyed it until the third level, in which I get pissed off every time I'm beaten by an unfair AI system. 2/5

Amazing game! Great quality! I would love to see this having a multiplayer option. This game could only benefit from having it. (and maybe a toggle to full screen).

In my previous comment I posted the AI on crazy out of no where would just started throwing down armies of 100+ as I surrounded them. The PC version of Risk had this same problem as the AI neared defeat it would start throwing out armies of 255 repeatedly even though it didn't have the cards or territory to support this. Hasbro the maker of PC Risk released a patch to fix this bug.

Great game but how do you use the reinforcement for Airlifts. It says 120 Troups but can't use them, anybodu know how?
