Under rating threshold (show) I like the game in terms of concept and such, but what really ruins for me is the gameplay - the tedious clicking. Why do we need a whole phase dedicated just to confirming our actions and then have to click one button more to actually see the turn go. Other than that, nice game...

The hotkeys help a lot.

Under rating threshold (show) Attacks between Kamtchaka and Alaska are difficult, as when you scroll the map to select the other, the attacking country gets unselected (That is, you click Alaska, then you click on map to scroll, and that causes Alaska to get unselected). Any workaround? So far my only option is to click and scroll the map, take the mouse out of the game window, and unclick there.. But that's not very good.

You have to zoom out so that you can see both at the same time (zoom buttons are in the bottom right corner of the map). Or you can click one, then click More Info, then select the other from the list.

Under rating threshold (show) It seems the enemy AIs always gang up on you. I take africa, everything's cool. Than two AI attack me at the EXACT SAME TIME on the EXACT OPPOSITE SIDES. So yeah...

Under rating threshold (show) I found a small bug. While the battles are fought , and you press the '< button the sound of the attacking and so on still keep sounding.

Under rating threshold (show) 4/5. Would've been 5/5 but it's too hard to click between Alaska and Kamchatka.

Under rating threshold (show) Nyarlothep, It's a risk style game... do you rate FPS's 2/5 because they involve you being from a first person view?

Under rating threshold (show) Looks like there's a couple of bugs; enemy can turn after turn early in the game add +20 or +30 to several locations and also don't seem to attack each others.

+ - !

(2)

Developer response from FizzerWL

When the game ends you can use history to see exactly where they got their armies. Also, the AIs treat eachother no differently than they treat humans - their code doesn't even look at the IsHuman flag.

Under rating threshold (show) "Attack or Transfer" dialog should pop at center of the game screen.

+ - !

(0)

Developer response from FizzerWL

The attack dialog pops up so that your mouse cursor is over the 'okay' button, this allows for double-clicking when you just want to attack with all armies, which is what you want most of the time. When you need to adjust something, you can drag it back onto the map.

Under rating threshold (show) I both hate and love this game at the same time. I hate it because the enemy defies all odds and win with only two armies against my 5 and I love because it's like Risk, only on steroids. 5/5

Developer response from FizzerWL

In custom games you can reduce how much that luck affects the game by dragging down the Luck Percentage setting.

daveplayboy

Oct. 07, 2011

Under rating threshold (show) This game is fun, but it has serious flaws. I hate games where the "AI" involves simply stacking the odds against the player. I play smarter than the AI, but it wins because it can attack 8 against 7 and win, whereas I attack 12 on 7 and lose half my army.

+ - !

(1)

Developer response from FizzerWL

The human and AI play by the exact same rules. 8v7 is only a 6% chance, so if you really saw that, you should go buy a lottery ticket. Also, in custom games, you can adjust how much that luck affects the game by dragging down the Luck Percentage setting.

Under rating threshold (show) I just beat the second challenge. Iceland shall rule the world! I love going back and watching what happened in the fog; enemies I thought were tough had had their guts ripped out from them by a foe on the other side. I love free-for-alls. I'd love if you could forge alliances in-game though.

Under rating threshold (show) what would be nice is a "half" button. So you can just click it and half of your army attacks one spot. Sliding the slider over and over is tedious

You can type the number.. or you can also type 50%. You could even copy 50% to your clipboard and do click-paste-click. Presto - half attacks!

Under rating threshold (show) I wish the map was like a world / circle and could cycle around and around. It is very annoying to have to zoom way out to attack from one side to the other.

Another method is to click the source territory, then click More Info and select the destination. No zooming required!

Under rating threshold (show) Great game but I have to condem it because there is no sign of new zealand. Jokes aside I do have one complaint. I'm not familiar with risk but why do my three remaining armies withdraw after leaving the enemy teritory with one army?

+ - !

(0)

Developer response from FizzerWL

Once you get to level 3 you'll find New Zealand -- the first two levels are smaller tutorial maps. For the combat question, the combat actually doesn't work like Risk - you can read about how it works on the wiki: http://wiki.warlight.net/index.php/Combat_Basics
