Lvl1 Gold Star: put 4 Units on S. Europe and Attack the middle East and put 1 Unit somewhere from where you can attack the last neutral spot in Europe but dont attack yet. Put 3 more Units there in the next round and the remaining on the middle east to travel forward to australia

I think actions should have happened at the same time. It's annoying when the strategy is affected by the randomness of which army strikes first. All territories should increase their numbers, all armies should "leave", 2 or more armies moving against each other get reduced or wiped out on the way to their destination and territories defend what's left over. Also, the random chance that an unoccupied territory with a 2 can withstand an attacking army of say, 6, is kind of silly. There's already plenty of chance and luck based on what decisions each player might make. Just my opinion.

Insane level is just imposible to beat, watched the walkthroughs and all and doing exactly the same i get beaten every time, other than that a good game.

Commander, we have taken a casualty but outnumber them 4 to 1, what are your ordes sir? "retreat, the arbitrary AI seems to be telling me that retreating would be a good idea, though i have the sneaking suspicion it is going rogue... nvm"

This is very well made but the basic problem is it's Risk, and Risk is a crummy boardgame. Lots of fail states or slog cleaning up to finish an inevitable win.

Great Game, Worldmap of Europa Universalis would be Fun^^
Gold in Lvl 1: First conquer the Middle East from south Europe

If someone would be so kind as to shoot me a message explaining how to do the first level in 6 turns or fewer it'd be greatly appreciated, I just can't seem to do it in anything less than 7.

Insane Challenge (Lvl 6) I am convinced is either impossible or depends too much on luck. With 50+ armies a turn by the 9th turn which is rediculous, the enemies are pouring groups of 30 armies into at least 5 places at a time. I grab the biggest territories first but with that many fronts and dozens of enemies being placed at all of them at the same time it seems impossible. Not to mention they get five times your turns of course because it is you vs. 5. Has anyone beat this? If anyone has was it mostly luck-based? The game was almost a walk in the park up until the final level. Europe I beat in 1 turn and it was about as easy as lvl 1 and the next challenge, you just restart until you are actually in a good position and hope that one of the teams does not randomly die within the first 5 turns making you against 3. The difficulty just seems unbalanced and low until it suddenly becomes possibly impossible at the last level.
It is indeed quite difficult! But it has been beaten, and most people that manage to beat it can do it again every time they try, which indicates that it doesn't require being lucky. Check out some of the walkthroughs on youtube.

Benji, how I got it, when you start, put four troops on S. Europe, one on Scandinavia or N. Europe, take S. Europe to Middle East, next turn, four on Middle East, one again on whichever you put it the first time, then Middle East to India, repeat with the one, then get Ukraine the next turn, conquer Siam, and then you should have the ten troop bonus.

The level 1 gold star is IMPOSSIBLE I can do it in seven turns but I really can't see how you can do it in 6. Help anyone?

I have no idea how those boys in WWII did it, I've tried it at least 10 times and I still can't beat Germany. To all you soldiers who made the impossible (At least to me) happen, I salute you.

Agreed 100% with phoyphoy. I realize that the computer doesn't have to control a continent to deploy huge hordes of troops, but it certainly comes across as cheating when all the computer opponents tend to work towards a singular goal of surrounding me. I work diligently towards occupying the territories needed to get bonuses, but the computer opponents all work to surround me. Knowing that i can deploy 15 troops at once and then seeing the computer deploy 65 to 90 is maddening.
Certainly comes across as cheating. Even if it isn't technically cheating.
The AI plays by the same rules you do, and AI doesn't try to target the human player (it treats enemy AIs in the same way that it treats the human player - the code doesn't even look at the IsHuman flag)

3/5. I am sorry, but when the computer is able to deploy 30 armies / turn while not controlling a single continent, there is something wrong. I enjoy Risk, but something is not right here.
When the game is over, you can use the History button to go back and see exactly how they got every single army. You can prove that the AI plays by the same rules you do.

Crazy challenge is frustratingly hard. I'm almost glad I haven't beaten it yet, as I think Insane would likely see my computer being defenestrated. Definitely some improvements to be made to the GUI. The wayward popup boxes, positioning of buttons, and the annoying ability of the sidebar to pop out when closing down the card use screen, for some.

The only thing that would make this game better honestly is just the ability to scroll around the map with keyboard controls. Sometimes its pretty hard to navigate around without accidentally deploying a troop etc., especially when you are zoomed in. Minor complaint, 5/5 for sure - loving it, thanks!

Is the level 1 gold star impossible? It seems like you could make a beeline for Australia and not have enough turns....
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
At first map you won't earn ANY plus armies from OTHER continents EXCEPT Europe! In a bold movement, I conquered all Asia to obtain the Gold Star, and guess what?! I didn't have 17 armies to deploy... just the 10 from before! THIS IS OUTRAGEOUS!!! PLEASE, DEVELOPER, AMEND IT!!!!

Fantastic game with some great modifications to the classic - being able to attack more than one adjacent territory with just one of yours, and having all of the actions happen at once. Also, awesome music! Well done, first game or not.

One other comment on naysayers touting Risk as superior -- as much as I love Risk, it has glaring flaws when it comes to strategy. Specifically, large-scale battles heavily (and counter-intuitively, I might add) favor the attacker to such a degree that in the end game there is virtually zero point in defending territory. This game is significantly better in that regard.

4 Random tips for the European Challenge in under 24 turns:
1) If you don't mind being cheap, reload until you conquer both Northern France and NW France on the first turn. This is a game where the results of your battles on the first two turns determine how quickly you can propagate.
2) Every turn you should be sending small detachments (2 or 3 units per country attacked) in a relatively Eastern direction to conquer new countries. It is as important to disrupt your opponent's bonus reinforcements as to generate your own.
3) Try to cut into your opponent's underbelly at several locations (he is very poor at reinforcing multiple territories at once), then air-lift your reinforcements into a poorly defended country you occupy next to a large detachment of your opponent's forces.
4) Don't bother trying to hunt down every little detachment your opponent has early on in the South and/or West -- you will waste time and troops you need heading Eastward.

This is a game that will capture your attention. It's a remake of the popular game "Risk" I love this game FIZZERWL, keep up the good work man!

This game shows a complete lack of understanding in both how Risk functioned as a game (it's balancing points) and how board game mechanics work in general, 1/5

Gold Star. How are we supposed to get a Gold Star on the missions? I got one on level 2, but not level 1. Is there a turn requirement? How do we find that out?
Since this is a badge...we really ought to know.

Note to Dev: if you lose the Europe level (not that I did, like a minute ago, in a horrible drawn-out fashion), the game won't officially "end" because of the reinforcement islands. Besides lacking a little closure, I wanted to watch the history without fog-of-war on. Not a big thing, but worth looking at. Thanks for this great game!

awesome game, just beginning the latter levels and its pretty mind-boggling >.>
Although, would be nice if there was something visually showing that we've conquered a continent (or area thats worth some armies) instead of having to click to check. also, would be nice if our Cards would show up in the HUD? instead of having to click to check.

I own 3/4 of the world and somehow the AI puts down +122 troops in one f*cking turn? That's pathetic. If you don't know how to make it challenging without just cheating then don't bother making games.

Pimothy you need to click alaska or w/e like that and click more info, then it shows neighboring countries and you can click that territory on that menu and it brings up the attack menu.

Whew, finally beat that crazy challenge in 44 turns :D
Started in Sudan and quickly took over Africa before I snuck towards Asia close to the sea where I was able to hurt the better team so much, the losing team was able to handle them until I started my final journey westwards again from the far far east. Had to give up certain figths on the way to keep my forces strong and close together. LOVE the game! :D
