just a little typo: in "europe chalenge", in the middle of Czech republic, you have location called "Olomuoc" ... It´s supposed to be "Olomouc"... great game anyways...

good game although the last levels are cheated... on turn 2 in "crazy" level a near ennemy gets 12 reinforcements so you don't stand a chance...

There seems to be a small bug in the Africa map : Huila territory is not linked to Bie. Apparently it should be. Great game anyway ;)

Hey Fizzer, this hit the spot for my Risk hunger :) as others have said. Congrats on your work coming together into this addictive game!

superb game, it lacks only one feature - FULLSCREEN! :) also, there might be more normal difficulty scenarios, i'd appreciate it

Just finished the European challenge on 1st try and Risky Business is mine. I actually started to panic when my ally suddenly started to attack me near the end because I thought I was going to have to defeat him too in order to finish the game and get the badge. Just had to finish off our common enemy to complete the game, whew.

@ okmansasz - Africa custom map is my favourite :) interesting trade offs on bonuses (super large down to just 1 cell) and full of complexity. :)

@neonights:The best way to win in 6 is to attack Ukraine & Middle East on your 1st turn...and start over if you don't win them both....might take a few tries.

pdu81 not at all. Ive beaten it 3 times. 2 times in 30 turns (I startet in USA) and one in 19 turns (I startet in Africa). Its not 3-4 enemies btw. Its 6. These 6 are in two allied groups with 3 on each side. They fight each other while you stand alone. Its a challenge to win the map but thats what makes it fun.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
pdu81, its not you vs 3-4 its you vs 3 vs other 3. So they are balanced out with a little luck. Some of them are allies, so one of the 3 team don't attack each other. The art is to know which one of the teams is winning and weaken that, since when one of them is winning over the other, they'll then roll over you.

Overall, this has got to be in the top 3 games on Kong. I don't understand why my saves have just deleted, but oh well, I guess I'll just have to kick AI ass all over again ;D
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Crazy is pointless to play. Why the heck to they all attack you and not each other? How are you supposed to beat 3-4 enemies?
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
You should make it so that your turn happens then everyones turn, so that after you click commit your troops will be moving against what is already shown on the map. Ive lost far too many games because all the turns happen at once, not necessarily you click commit then your turn happens, it feels like you click commit, then one persons turn, then another persons turn, then your turn, then you get to decide what to do next.

Too bored to continue after the first level. The first time I saw a computer implementation of RISK was sometime in the mid-80s. And there have been many since. This didn't add anything new, beyond nice background music and a sometimes-frustrating control scheme.
And the original RISK wasn't even much fun, to begin with.

Europe is a breezze, be agressive in taking Western Europe and fortify the rear, then move through Itly and take the southern map for bonuses, certer is last.. Use all reinforcements for your allies easternmost territories and you'll get the enemy in a pincer.

So I click on custom games and I preview some maps. When I look at Africa I was like HOLY S#%@!!!!! I look at the number of territories which is 330 and I was like DAMN!!!! That's larger than the Double Earth map. Jeez, gonna take about a day or two to complete that map.

Hey guys it is possible to beat the Europe map in 24 turns. I did it in 22. Here's some tips: 1.For the first 4 turns Give your ally your 13 deployable armies tranfering to Western Norway. 2. Give your ally 2 airlifts as soon as possible. 3. CONQUER AS FAST AS POSSIBLE, put 5 armies in a territory to take out a 1 territory. 4. NEVER ATTACK YOUR ALLY. 5. Split your armies at france and send 1 to conquer spain, another to italy, and the others to conquer greece and russia. 6. BE WARNED when you try to take spain a 103 armie will be waiting, so have at least 100 armies for spain. 7. Use my advice and good luck!

hard badge is possible...managed it the other night. lots of people have commented on how to do level 1 and levels 2+3 just take a bit of luck and not being greedy - take and keep bonuses. Europe took me quite a few goes, but eventually got it with 1 turn left over.... keep pushing east as the europe bonuses are worth bugger all (especially germany...:( ) and keep breaking up his bonuses and you'll have it.

bloodofcrom, I just did it in 23. Tips. Expand whatever you can, take france. If the enemy has a strong army do not dance around it, but go directly against it (with a larger army). for example southern france Then take spain, portugal then go through rest of europa. Maybe give one of the 120 stacks your partner. Late in the game its ok to betray your partner otherwhise he might waste turns in getting the last nations of the enemy.

in the europe level, my army of 400 was about to take out the enemies army of 280, and then their army moved and my ally captured the spot, and it gave my ally an army of over 400 that it never used for the rest of the game. that shouldnt be automatic.

Im pretty sure the AI cheats, ill play a custom game on the large Earth version, with 4-5 AI, and control all of NA and SA and the AI will always manage to bring larger armies against me, even when i just turtle and let them weaken themselves, watched a replay and the AI mostly ignored each other and marched all over my territories.

Fun risk-like game. Appreciated the "larger map." Found that pretty fun. Only concern is that the game felt a little easy. That hard badge was no problem, except for the first level... which felt hit-or-miss on being able to complete in 6. Had fun though :)
Btw, Europe Challenge = WW2?

I agree Bavarian. I feel like I suck. I try to stay back and buiild up, then get overwhelmed. I try to attack and I take over nearly half the continent, then get ganged up on by everyone. It feels like I'm the only one they go after.

Found an obscure glitch: In the Europe map, Ezak-Alfold in Hungary does not connect with Kosice in Poland, even though they quite obviously share a border. Please fix this, thanks!
