Under rating threshold (show) the army reproduction should base on each divided lands, instead of a whole area. for example, after i conquer 1 land, then next time i could have a extra army production, don’t need to wait after conquer a whole area(which have lots of lands in it) and then gain 5 or 7 more army production. and,add a simple economic system also will be better

Under rating threshold (show) This game started off rated as 3.94. You see now? 4.25, and climbing. This is because unlike most games and you play more and more you start to see just how good this game is. Now THAT is an awesome game. Good job, FizzerWL!

Under rating threshold (show) loving the game! Indeed, a lot like risk, although, in insane, I'd like to see something like defense, where when you don't try to take a territory, you get a few armies added to distribute..(and maybe cards getting to be worth more..)

Under rating threshold (show) I feel like I'm doing something wrong in the third level, I expand like crazy immediately and grab 4 or 5 territory bonuses then start trying to be protective but then suddenly they're placing twice my reinforcements right next to me. With no way to keep up, even with 3 or 4 cards saved up

+ - !

(2)

Developer response from FizzerWL

Try using those cards to help expand and grab bonuses quicker. The more powerful you are when you meet, the better off you'll be. Also, try to start in small bonuses - going after the big ones first is actually worse since it takes longer to get your first bonus.

Under rating threshold (show) I feel like a Kong version wasn't necessary...I've been playing WarLight for awhile haha. But good to see it getting more publicity nonetheless. There's a single player version on http://warlight.net/ too.

Under rating threshold (show) This game is awesome. Also @MolochKing, you haven't played Rise of Nations have you? Rise of Nations is an RTS like Age of Empires, not a turned base. Nothing is similiar unless you count petty similarities like they both have civilizations. Only thing I think could be done better is that sometimes the AIs turn goes first, sometimes it's the players turn that goes first. I'm not sure if this has some equation to it or not, but it seems random to me.=

+ - !

(0)

Developer response from FizzerWL

Yep, random. If you make a custom game you can configure it to alternate who gets first move, or include the Order Priority card.

Under rating threshold (show) I still can't figure out how to airlift troops. I click the airlift button, then a destination, and it just highlights the destination as if it was it's first click. Help!

+ - !

(2)

Developer response from FizzerWL

Click the source territory first. The process goes: Play Card, source territory, next, destination territory, next, finish.

Under rating threshold (show) 5/5 - The game mechanics are excellent, though I would love to see more improvements. Using the original Risk map is a good idea, but for the sake of longer games I would like to see smaller divisions of the continents. Or use a fantasy map-layout with more continents or so. You should also be able to improve on the graphics. Making the continents pixelated would be cool too. :D

Sounds like you didn't get to level 3? Also there are fantasy maps if you click Custom Game.

If you just want to feel powerful and steamroll the AIs, you can just set up a custom game where the odds are stacked in your favor. No need to hack to do that :)

Under rating threshold (show) *5/5 for sure even thought that this game got me addicted so fast that I forget to save not even 1 time... and then a Firefox crash! Now I have to do challenge Europe again... , too bad no auto-save except on warlight.net :/ That why I was asking for an auto save feature in Kong, nothing wrong with this game thought :)

Dang that Firefox! I'm sure you'll be saving often now :)

Under rating threshold (show) @FizzerWL oh, I didn't ever get any cards besides 1/3 for getting a territory. I thought there might have been others for capturing areas or killing players, but I didn't get any... I only played through Level 3 so far. I think you need more levels then. Because the "challenges" should just be challenging, without introducing new content.

Under rating threshold (show) This game really sticks out from other similar games on kongregate because the game actually makes you think about every move because to win you have to have a perfect balance of offense and defense. Move to fast and you'll be stretched out defending ten territory's at once. Move to slow and you'll get outnumbered ten to one. Great game I wish there were more like it.

Under rating threshold (show) the AI is good, but it can still be manipulated. for example, on level 4, I snuck a small army to the bottom right corner and led his biggest force (150 armies) in a circle around the Aegean for 40 turns while I slaughtered him in Europe. if he had trapped me and sent those armies to the front I probably couldn't have beaten him.

Under rating threshold (show) I find that often if the enemy breaks through your contain and gets to neutral ground, it creates a wild goose chase, where you just follow his path until he either fails to capture enough countries, or the neutral countries run out. I don't see this as any game flaw, I just find it amusing to sit through 10 turns just following the colour which isn't yours. That's what the speed turns are for, aren't they?

Under rating threshold (show) What a wonderful game! Quite brilliant. I especially love to watch the history during the Level 3 map. To see what I was thinking and imagine what would be going on in the AI's "head". The best strategy game on Kongregate. And the music! Oh I just loved the music made me think I was really there. The sound effects do the same for me as well. I will always play this game. And more like it if you continue, since this is your first, I expect them to be as good as this one or better! Good show mate, Keep them coming. ~Wartornplace

Under rating threshold (show) Let's say that I've got one opponent left, with only one country - let's say Kazhakstan. Problem is that he has been stacking up an army there for a long time, and has 50 units in that country. Now, I have all the 6 countries surrounding him with 10 troops in each. Since there is no way to do a combined attack (apparently the countries under my rule don't communicate with eachother) I have no way to break him at all. I would very much like to be able to do simultaneous attacks with multiple countries on the same target.

+ - !

(-2)

Developer response from FizzerWL

You can attack with all 6 individually, they'll widdle him down and eventually win. If he's only got one territory left, you've basically won anyway.

Under rating threshold (show) It doesn't matter if the AI doesn't JUST target the player. It is way to aggressive. It attacks anyone in site no matter what. Please, tone down the AI a bit. They're attacking me in like turn 4 or 5.

Under rating threshold (show) The concept of the game itself isn't very new, but what makes this excellent is its focus on playability and functionality. Instead of, say, little animated marching armies everywhere, it has zooming, and panning and saves. The only thing I would suggest would be to make it so that the map should wrap when panning.

Oct. 08, 2011

Under rating threshold (show) Yep, I'm amending my previous praise - after a number of plays, the AI is just overly aggressive. I have seen the AI attack other AIs about 1 out of 10 opportunities, and their buildup is only ever on my borders, VERY infrequently on borders with other AI players. They all gun for the human player, it seems, if given the opportunity. I'm finding this game very difficult to be intereste din playing... seems like a lost cause as soon as the AI sees where you're at.

+ - !

(4)

Developer response from FizzerWL

Actually the AI treats the human player no differently than other AIs. The code doesn't even look at the IsHuman flag.
