World war 2 was the easiest to beat by far :) Germany makes some pretty stupid mistakes by zerging Russia and northern Europe while you just go behind them taking it back, I started supplying all my armies at the start to Russia so there was a 2nd front attacking them. I made a trap for the 110 armies that emerge from Italy by leaving a territory with 1 army and all my 300 armies around it, once the 110 army was next to the 1, I just sent my entire army into the 1 block and their 110 army was slaughtered ;) once the south was filled with 1s, it was over, finished it in 21 turns. ( remember to use your paratroopers from America )

Hm... Not gonna beat the last level yet..
If Kong adds badges, it'll probably say, "Beat the last level. If you did so before this badge was added, simply beat it again!" :/

YEAH!!! Finally Beat Insane!!! Some tips: Don't give the enemy "freebie" territories. When they get past your defenses just make sure any adjacent territories have at the very least 3 armies on them because the enemy likes to attack with 2 armies and you will stop a lot of those advances. Make sure you take any territories with only 1 enemy on it. Even if you only attack with two. The basic premise is that if you always end up with at least one more territory every single turn then you eventually win! Oh and don't try to go toe to toe with giant forces. Let them pass and then blaze into their soft underbelly!! MUAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Excellent game there, I enjoyed it a lot, but I agree with mrhannibal about the game difficulty.
You have to make different kinds of cards and maybe combos instead of just 6 more armies, but the game goes in the right direction, pretty good!
I'm sure that with a few fixes it will be even more fun, so please, I want to see the next release!!

Great game but the first 3 levels are really easy and the last 3 are nearly impossible to win, so it could be more ballanced

i wish people didn't rate things down because they're not good enough to beat it... this game deserves to be #1 this month, instead we have that monster thing and epic war in the same league. this is what flash games should be, challenging, simple and make you want to pull your hair out all the while you can't put it down. well done, 5/5

To get gold on the first map, you cannot follow the tutorial - Turn 1: send 3 armies to capture middle east immediately, 2 armies to ukraine to weaken it to 1 strength. Turn 2: Capture both India and ukraine. Turn 3+ you can now march toward australia and make it in 6 turns.

Yes, I did just take 69 turns to beat level 1, conquer the entire board, and realize that even if you get 1000 troops on one land the numbers don't disappear in the dark void, the green box underlying them just stretches, no need for you to waste your time finding out now.

america was the last to fall in that crazy challenge... 42 turns of greatness
who knew africa had it in em to take over the world?

This game is fantastic !! My favorite game yet!!You are obviously very talented , and I think this game is near perfect. May I suggest several changes to you ?(They are the ONLY things I found wrong ) Here they are:
1)Work the Graphics - The Map should have more colors , and the background shouldn't be black because it seems to me that it irritates the eyes and after an hour of play I just have to stop :(
2)You should add some sfx - i think they would really permit me and some other players to understand more what is going on.
Last but not least: 3) Please continue making games , you are gifted !
Sincerely Mr Bigdaddyforu

@Dev - Correct me if I am wrong, but it's impossible to get a gold star on the first board. You need to win in 6 turns to get it. Turn 1: Scandanavia to Ukraine. 2. Ukraine to Kazakhstan 3. Kazakhstan to India and China 4. India & China to Siam 5. Siam to Indonesia 6. Indonesia to New Guinea and Western Australia. It takes a 7th turn to get Eastern Australia which means no gold star.

some tips for beating Crazy: Try to start in Africa, the choke points are good, send out 3 armies to take over the neutral 2's, on average it works out better. Absolutely murder any enemy you come across early on once you've secured a territory bonus. Once Africa is secured, don't wait up.. I pushed out through europe and the middle east and took over the rest of the map from there. Check for AI players being eliminated, and then focus on attacking the strongest alliance.

Following up the huge number of armies that the AIs are getting, I found in the history that on
Turn 2: AI 4 & 5 played a reinforcement card
Turn 3: AI 4 & 5 played a second reinforcement card
Turn 4: (First turn I can play a card) AI 3 & 7 also played cards
Turn 5: AI 4 & 6 play a reinforcement card. At this point I stopped looking at cards, as it was obvious that the program is favoring AI 4, as well as allowing all members of the AI teams to have access to the same card pool.
This means that the AIs do not have to wait until Turn 4 to have three pieces of a card, but rather complete a card every single turn they each take at least one territory.

The insane challenge seems completely impossible, they rush you with gigantic armies to which there is no answer. Abandon cards work great to halt an advance, but there are so many other places they can attack from. Has anybody actually beat this?

Woooo, finally beat Crazy.
Started in West Africa, took it over zone by zone. Stuck huge armies in Brazil, Spain and the middle part of Antarctica. Then invaded the Antarctic and South America at the same time. Put double whatever the enemy had at each choke point (Spain, Scott, Egypt, Venezuela and Colombia. Then started invading North America, put large forces in Alaska, took over Greenland, then joined my forces in Europe, and pushed forward along the western front.
Easy... after 300 attempts.
Hope that helps some people!

This may not be the best looking- or most exciting risk game I ever played. But I'm sure its the simplest and easiest controlled game, and awesome to hit my idle hours with it =D

wow that crazy challenge is frickin' hard. i don't even know if i want to open up the insane challenge if i ever beat crazy.

after lvl 3 this game goes from fun to addicting... its so hard to beat the challenges, i can't seem to figure it out at all, it seems no matter what i do, the AI slaughters me
When the game is over, use history to go back to that point in time where you can see the whole map. Then you can see how they got every army - use the red button in the top right to see if they played cards.

Finally done crazy, but it was pure luck. No amount of strategy will prevent the AI armies wiping you. I was just lucky on a go capturing all America relatively unopposed and no big attacks from the borders.

Wow, this game is on a completely different level than anything I've played until now.
And the music makes you want to play for hours and hours!!!

So I've been trying to beat the crazy challenge for days now. Today I just spent a while browsing the history of my last failed attempt, when I noticed that the AIs all got 9 armies to place on turn 2! They had no bonus continents, and unless I completely misunderstand how card work, there is no way that they should be able to have a card completed after the first round. I bet I could beat them with comparative ease if they only got 5 armies base like I do.

I am not quite sure but the fith challenge (crazy) is pretty unbalanced. After 10 turns one major faction is almost completly destroyed, and I have to face an army which is impossible to kill. Maybe it would be a help if fog of war can be lifted for this challnge so you see what enemy is doing.
You can play it without fog, but it's "unofficial" - wins don't go on the high scores or unlock the next level, but it's a great way to learn. See http://wiki.warlight.net/index.php/Single-player_levels#Customizing

quite nice game. just that the crazy challenge is too crazy... after trying not to get bashed in the first 4 rounds for about 15 times because you get placed next to an enemy, im controlling the south globe... but now i have two united enemies on each passage, which means double force against my normal... not even a small chance of surviving... they just run over me. any tips for this level? i think it is a bit too unfair ^^

Pretty fun if you like this sort of game. Understanding of some major gameplay elements eludes me. What exactly is the math behind determining combat results? How does the game determine the order in which players' commands are carried out?
Also, the UI needs serious work. I shouldn't have to zoom out to move troops from Alaska to Kamchatka. When I dispatch a new army, a number box appears and blocks the surrounding territories so that I can't see or click on them. When the command dialogue pops up, usually half of it is off the screen and I have to drag it into place.

How I beat crazy (level 5): Take Africa, build up ~20-25 in defenses. Cut through South America, took over America while adding to defenses every now and then. Game.

I'm not missing that it's a 1v3v3. I kept track of which AI were on which team in a few attempts not to provoke one of the teams while I went after the other. Didn't stop them from dropping everything to wipe me out a few rounds after finding me, even when they had extensive borders with opposing AI territory.
