Challenge Europe is too tough. The other guy just starts with way too many armies. The only thing I have not tried is airlifting to Sevastopol or someplace like that and tearing up through the bottom. I did find a bug though - If you play a reinforcement card and go back from phase 2 or 3 it is removed and you lose the reinforcements.

my only problem with this is when you have two armies in different areas attack the same area. instead of calculating the attack with your combined forces it resolves the attacks individually. Other then that this is a great game 5/5

found an exploit: add armies to a country,go to transfer stage, send all of them to a country,go back to deploy army stage, remove the armies frm that country and put them in another, the country that the army was originally in still invades with those armies, for example you have 12 armies to place, put all 12 in china and send all 12 from china to mongolia,go back to deploy stage, remove them from china, put them in ukraine and attack ural with all 12 armies
You need to watch it more carefully. The attack will stay in place, but it will only attack with the armies that end up there. In fact, you can type any number into the attack dialog - try just opening it and typing 999. It will enter the order, but it's still not an exploit since it will just use as many armies as it can.

to win the crazy challenge: you should spawn in southern Africa or South America, this spots are always the best. Normally by spawning in here, you have the whole continent for yourself and won't be bothered. During this time, build up and allow them to kill each other and then when they finally reach you, use the strategy that suits you the best.

Great, enjoyable game. My only complaint is that a lot of times the text goes off screen. It would be nice if the text were too far to the right of the map, if it would overlay to the left instead of further right and off screen. This also applies to deploying troops on and attacking maps that are on the far right.

i played risk back in the 80's for complete week-ends with friends. This game is amazingly well done and made a great agame even better as far as im concerned.
The only little little little problem is the order of attacks. Sometimes u want to attack with big army first and have a medium sized army clean the rest but instead the medium attacks first >.<
5/5

Out of curiosity, what's the threshold for gold star on insane? 38 turns doesn't do it, and that was a VERY tough fight to get it done in that time.

the damned mute button makes it impossible to attack from alaska to anadyr (zoomed out)..zoomed in doesnt work either because u can't see them both on the same screen and no (apparent) keys slide the map left or right
Unfortunately some people have found ways to post fake scores to Kongregate's list. Any scores less than these are most likely cheaters:
Level 1: 6
Level 2: 11
Level 3: 16
Europe Challenge: 15
Crazy Challenge: 17
Insane Challenge: 24

ummm stuck on lvl 3, any tips.
As I said prev great great game, looking more into the custom maps you covered shed loads, only thing missing is multiplayer :P One thing which I would love to see other than this is a way to tell coundarys for bonus areas, I know it done by colour but im colour blind :( perhaps some way of a dark outline/circle for each area. Still even despite that 5/5 from me, would be 6/5 if it would allow such :P

Teams pool their cards. On the challenges against a large AI team, the computer can use +6 cards on their second turn and every turn after. Doesn't quite seem fair.

I will admit this is a very fun and addicting game but i'm more into games you picked up and you go straight to the action. Good game though. 4/5!

Every time I think this game has a problem, I notice that you have fixed the problem already. Clearly you put a massive amount of work into this, and created a game of incredible awesomitude. Thank you for an excellent, addicting, satisfying game.

Level 3 is quite ridiculous. Allies allow each other to dominate while solely focusing on my forces. I've played SEVERAL times now, and each time one AI opponent was allowed to dominate by the others. Even with great starting positions I cannot afford to fund a war against someone who is not opposed by anyone else on the board except for me. The game itself is quite fun to play with all of the additional bonuses, but this broken AI system doesn't work well.

If you're having a hard time getting a gold star on the first map, you can get it by winning in six turns.
Take Ukraine (for the extra 5 armies per turn) and the Middle East on your first turn, then you should be able to hit Siam on the same turn as the computer (turn #3) with more armies than he has. From there you can easily take Australia in three turns. Bingo! Gold Star.
Keep this alive if you had a hard time getting the star on this one.

Just beat the insane map. Good god! Insanity! Seriously!! Took about 5 solid attempts and learned some things on the way. Here are my tips for winning: focus on getting the area bonuses, asap. Take all of Asia, Europe and North America. I left S.America, Indo/Australia alone. Also push as far as you can in to Africa. By this time in the game I had to use an abandon card on "South Africa." Sacrificed the bonus, but worht it. Eventually pushed to "Anadyr S" and blockaded there too. ~150. Basically blockade a choke and you face one less opponent. Then you can fight the other 3-4 much safer. Blockade another, then push. You can't be passive in this one... be aggressive. Take and hold one country from an enemy bonus area. That's 3-7 less army/turn for them. Don't be afraid to retreat when you need to. Protect your core.

bjjdude, don't click the arrows, click the territory you want to attack. If you're clicking the arrows successfully, that just means they happen to be overlying the territory.

My last two games on level 3 I have been defeated but it was close. In both cases, I wanted to see how the AI did it but the fog did not lift in the history even after I was eliminated. Both were saved half way through and finished later, if this is relevant.
It may take a few moments after you're eliminated before the board unfogs. The AIs actually continue to fight after you're gone, and the board won't unfog until one of them wins and the game officially ends, but it's not clear this is happening. If you look in the top right you can see the turn number going up though. You can load your saved game and hit players -> surrender then wait for it to unfog.

awesome game dev, 6/5 but one thing i'd ask you to change is that when i play a card right when i get all the pieces and go to close out the box, the right side column comes out. i know it's supposed to but if it could be clicking on it instead of just touching it, thatd be perfect =)

I hate how it's impossible to press arrows that cross the world left to right (or right to left). Otherwise, this is an amazing game.
You have to zoom out so that you can see both at the same time (zoom buttons are in the bottom right corner of the map). Or you can click one, then click More Info, then select the other from the list.

in my country this game is called TEG (short for Tecnicas y Estrategias de la Guerra) and its a board game 80 years old :P

the early maps are definitely beatable (through Europe) with a good starting location, some strategy and a little luck, but the challenge maps seem impossible... I just start to get a foothold and some random enemy comes barreling through with 200 units against my 50...
