Things I've learned from Shopping Street: 1. People are very impatient; they will not wait for 3 seconds to get inside a shop. 2. People are only truely happy when they have spent all of their money.

Here's what i'm doing. got to lvl 8 so far. First day i build a pet shop in 3 slot from left, and two newspaper stands in 1 and 2.. when i get enough money i build a boutique and a stand in front of it. than i upgrade it and build a toy store as soon as i can in the 2nd slot. than i jsut upgrade and put new stores with stands infront when i have enough money. i dont force just one store, i build and upgrade whichever i can ( i give advantage to new stores rather than to upgrades) also when i get enough money i get a bus stop. my layout: restoran, toy store, pet shop, boutique, jewelry, electronics, furniture, supermarket. also i haven't tried it yet, but i think that a mixture of music aids and news would work better ( layout news, music, news, mucis and so on). hope it helps. keep it alive if this works for you.

I first enjoyed it but it is soooo sooo repetitive..I still use the same concept that I found out at the very beginning so its only build, upgrade, watch and yawn.
The idea is nice, but it should have some variety, like different likes and dislikes of the population in different cities or at least a different starting budget, perhaps even some levels with prebuilt buildings (in the wrong places for them) so you'd have to actually THINK.

Put a boutique store anywhere. Then put a pet store beside it. Upgrade both to the max then put a toy store. Then a bus stop. Upgrade the toy store then buy a jewerlly store. Buy a electronic store upgrade the toy store then upgrade the rest. Once you can buy a minimarket buy it. Do this for all the levels and you will win. Theis is my stratagy keep it alive if it works for you.
