I can't see the interest of a free play mode. This could be a great game, but... we want more ! Graphisms are not great but it's ok. A "restart level button" would be useful (even if you can reset from the menu). It could be interesting to see (or unlock) customers stats ( money...) and shops stats ( time). It would be also useful to see how many customers are here (day by day). The starting amount should be evolutive through levels... All the shops should not be available at the beginning, one new shop per city could be fun. For this, objectives should be more progressive. A very useful option is to be able to destruct any shop or structure built. Finally, it would be great to be able to close a shop for a moment (we could upgrade it then). Fix the bug with the negative money and it will be a wonderfull game, which will need achievements !! Please let this post live if you agree.

BUG: if placing a new shop, you can still upgrade old ones and place the new one and your balance will move into the negative

when you are able to build a building and to upgrade another. star building so you can select the solt. and than upgrade the other building. and build the first one. i am at -7690 $ atm

Hmm, seems kind of like a worthless incentive, considering if you managed to do that on every wave in level 10 (which I staunchly believe is not possible), you would make a whopping extra 24,000, which is a pittance. Like I said earlier though, this has amazing potential, makes me disappointed that it is a long way from that....

Blizz: A single happy customer means nothing. However, when you make every customer happy (i.e. drain them of every dollar they have), you get the $1000 bonus.

Also, maybe add in-game events that force you to do different things, like all the fish die in the pet store, forcing prices down temporarily. This would force the player to save up money for emergencies, instead of just buying things as they are available. And maybe some "competitor" stores could spring up (Wal-Mart anyone?). Really are a lot of things you can do with this, hope you do, until than, 1.5/5.

Eh, very mediocre. Interesting concept, is it supposed to be akin to a TD or something? Add things like a variety to the customers; certain ones prefer certain stores or whatever. Put in advantages , disadvantages, and effects to different stores, other than just capacity and goods cost. And I realize that different stores have different shopping times; include that in the descriptions, and expound on it. Include some things other than just benches and the like. Also, is there any bonus to getting customers to be happy? If there are, please state so. If not, maybe you could add that a happy customer brings another person with them the next round; this adds another element, and forces the player to make them happy. Again, using variety for customers and stores can really enhance that. As is, you can use the same strategy over and over for every level and never struggle at all.

Because of the bug that allows you to go into debt, I tend to buy things in doubles. So I'll buy the electronics and upgrade my jewellery store at the same time, as soon as I have enough to do both at the same time. Same goes for when I hit 55k, I buy the supermarket and upgrade the electronics boutique.
(Hint; to go into debt, you click first on the building you want to buy, then on the building you want to upgrade [as long as you have enough money for the more expensive of the two], then place the building.)

And 100% on every level up to 25, most likely would have got that too, but hit 100% before the level was up. I didn't use the formula directly under my post two down, but tried it out, if you follow it you'll lose out on the bonus cash.
