This was fun. I wish the rate of stone to wood accumulation and use for upgrades was just a bit more even, especially after you start upgrading cities. I 'm nearly done upgrading the map and have over 70,000 wood and less than 1,000 stone since it takes so much of it for each city upgrade. Otherwise very fun game. I really enjoyed all of the subtle elements that kept it fresh as I was playing.

This may be one of my favorite mini strategy games, I'd love to see different biomes, like this one seems to be magic/science focused, but what about like a dwarven village theme with gem stones, or something like that? or even just a color change, like this is water and cities and trees, what about lava and mountains, or clouds and spires, iunno I just love what you've created and it has so much room for creativity its amazing

... I think the problem in my previous comment is because my mining research facility is level 1 (I went for the magic circle)

I have a village level 2 surrounded by maxed out tiles - a mining research facility, rocks level 4, and 2 forest level 4s - but it won't let me upgrade it.

What bugs me the most is the fact that you can't choose your starting tile. The starting tiles which are chosen by the game are more than lacking..

I love what you've built here. I do have a few suggestions, but don't think it means the game isn't already awesome.
Next to each resource count, include a small number representing the production speed. This would allow players to see it without having to mouse over them.
When a tile is upgradeable, put a tiny + on them, but when the upgrade is affordable, make that plus a little more opaque and change the color. Keep it small and easy to ignore, but visible so the player can quickly scan across the map for options.
Keep left-clicking as is (upgrades default option), but right-clicking chooses from a list when there are multiple options.
Auto-update a player journal with discovered buildings that list the needs for that building. Players are still discovering all the hidden buildings, but as the list gets bigger, they won't forget.
Just my 2 cents on the game, but honestly, you already have something wonderful.

Oh my gosh, my first run through was so close to dying lol. I just scraped 100 magic before the magic sources vanished.

Need a larger map with multiple level stone circle upgrade (to slow the darkness instead of just outright stopping it), o/w it's too easy rn.

Would it be possible to include some sort of way to cycle through all the possible building or a tile (e.g. I want to build a port city but it makes me build a tower of water), maybe right click?

I love the game. I would like if the game had an option for a much larger map, maybe even three sizes. An in-game timer would also be neat, and if the game recognized when the map was completed.

I have ALL the map maxed BUT one village in the middle of the land. It says: "Try building more nearby"... but i can't!!!! How can I upgrade that village?

I think that there is quite a bit of potential for this game. Maybe even a story mode, if done correctly. This game was kind of exciting to play as I noticed the darkness immediately!

So the cool buildings I got were the Treetop Village and the Wooden Village. To get the Treetop Village you have a forest-tile that is surrounded by four other forest tiles (so one on top, one left and one right, and one on the bottom). And for the Wooden Village, mine is surrounded by 3 forest tiles and one rock tile. I don't know if these are correct but I'm just going by what I am seeing on my screen!

I'm sure every game is randomly generated, the one I 'won' in though took forever to upgrade things due to the lack of stone production I had going on. Beyond that, enjoyable little diversion.

When I first saw this game I thought it was going to be sh*t , but after I played it for a while I enjoyed. Great game.

Suggestion: Have some visible indication as to which tiles have an upgrade available without having to mouse over them.

Fun. I actually built a Light Research City for my first win. After that the magic win was pretty easy. Just built out a the whole map. A good # of unexpected buildings like the wooden city and main port with lvl 2 docks. I agree with another commenter that the tower of water could ideally have some effect beyond production. I gather you sort of created a 'choose your own difficulty' via pragmatic choice of magic (easy) vs tech (slightly less easy). It was fun in post game figuring out how to max out the new forests to create more treetop villages. Anyway, enjoyable short game.

I have played this game a bunch of times now, and although it isn't very hard to beat, I have replayed it at least two dozen times because it's so much fun to explore (and you can enjoy doing so because of the fairly generous time limit). I would love to see continued development of this world, or a sequel!

main port, docks level 2, wooden city, mining research city, treetop village, and magical city (a little graphically different than magical village) are some rare tiles i found

Awesome game, I really loved that you added the option to keep on playing and improving after winning. That way I could explore the different building types that I missed because I had to focus production to beat the darkness.

I can't upgrade my last building, it keeps saying I need to build more nearby, but the whole map is fully built and upgraded.
